"I made a purchase (waterproof housing for digital camera) here about 2 months ago through a paypal promotion. The item said it would be available in 2 weeks when I made the order. Each week they updated me saying that the item was being shipped to there warehouse. I just got an email saying that they were unable to get the item. What!?!?! wasnt it being shipped to the warehouse?
I cant believe it took 2 months to for them to figure out that they could not get the item.
I should have ordered through another store because now I cant get the paypal promotion.
I emailed there customer service twice and they replied to me with the exact auto-generated email they originally sent me.

WORST ONLINE PURCHASE EVER! worse than some ebay ripoffs Ive suffered. How do you contact buy.com!!! go to their site and click on RMAs, it takes you to an advertising page. Click on returns, it takes you to a page of returned products on sale, click on customer service (sic) and you get a page of books on customer service for sale!!!!! No phone number to be found anywhere. Im stuck with a $300 Thinkpad that not only took two weeks to arrive, the "free" shipping was $26.00 and the usb ports are fried (check Lenova websites forums for hundreds of thinkpad usb problems) not equipted as advertised, shipped from a reseller who sent no invoice nor return address contacts.

Yes! this is what exactly happened in my case.
It is really sad to see such a pathetic customer service from one of the premium online retailers. I literally fought with customer-service to convince them that there was some problem with this refund process and though their system shows that this refund was processed, but some how it was not delivered to me.
But, agents on phone kept harassing me by saying "Contact your bank for lost money" OR "Oh! you want 2 times refund now?" OR "Are you done!!!!!! Sir!!!". They were so arrogant, impolite and rude. The worst customer service agent, I've ever met. Finally, they made me feel like a stupid or a crook person.
Nobody tried to understand that it could be a problem with Buy.com refund process.
Finally, I screamed a lot on them on phone and ask them to transfer to Supervisor. They told me he was busy. Then I asked them to transfer it to his boss then finally My Supervisor showed up. Then he listened me carefully and understood my issue and assured me that he would escalate this issue with refund-processing department.
And finally, they found the problem in their system and refunded my money back.
After having such a bitter experience, I'd prefer to stay away from Buy.com. I wish if I'd send this message to Buy.com Sr. management.

"I had a worst experience Had with the buy.com guys. I ordered for nextar digital photo frame. and after two weeks they sent me some unknown company product, if i tried to look back around their site for customer case number, these guy never mentioned their number and they deals with emails. so i send an emails around 5 to 6 times. I didnt even get a proper responce other than the autogenerated emails.
I can say this site is waste and you never gonna get the product what you ordered.

"I placed an order on January 19th 2009 (MLK Day). The transaction when in fine. Credit card was charged. Not expecting a shipping email till the next day, I was surprised to find one in my email the same night. So I checked it out and low and behold a tracking # for FEDEX.
It was to be shipped 2day for a rush delivery. I waited till the 21st. FEDEX still says it only 'received the info' but didn't actually say it was on it's way or anything. Frustrated I called up FEDEX and they said that the item was never picked up.
Called up Buy.com hotline, they tell me that they cannot even do anything till the 22nd since the item says it was suppose to be delivered on the 21st... it's almost 7PM and no way FEDEX was going to deliver that day. They made me wait till the next day.
NO DELIVERY... my time wasted.. and to further the frustration, they tell me that it would take 3-5 days for their claims department to issue a refund because they have to see what happened.
OBVIOUSLY your shipping department didn't pack it up and ship it to me.
This was my second time trying to order from buy.com in hopes that they would be better this time around.
I guess not.
