Ordered on the 10th of January and they kept my money for 7 days just to tell me my order has been canceled. "I ordered a video card on the 10th. The product page clearly stated the item was in stock and coming straight from Buy.com...not a 3rd party vendor. I placed the order, received the confirmation email and learned through it that the item is on now on back order. I don't order parts that are not stocked and I surely don't pay for premium shipping on a part that is on back order. I hear nothing from them until today, a week later, and was informed that there was pricing mistake and/or out of stock and have no clue when they will get more. Come on, every etailer in town has these cards in stock but for some reason they can get a hold of any. Rather than deal with me on this issue, they flat out canceled the order. I believe they had no intention of fulfilling the order to begin with. As a first time customer, this has left me with a very bad impression of Buy.com. I can not and will not do business this way! In summary: Inventory issues the with the web site, a serious lack of communication, clueless when asked many times, when they would restock, accusatory tone in a support email."

"Ordered two video cards from buy.com on Saturday January 10th. My credit card was charged right away. After waiting around two business days until Tuesday, I decided to give them a call seeing that my order status had not updated and my item didn't ship. They told me they were waiting on more stock to come in before so they could ship to me. I sold my old graphics card beforehand since I found the deal they were advertising, and I wanted these new graphics cards as a birthday gift for myself. Since Tuesday it had gone into different order statuses like "sent to warehouse", "in the shipping process", "processing" etc. Now they cancel my order and say there was an "error in my order", then give me a $5 gift card.. what an insult. Now I'm stuck without video card(s) for my computer, and no birthday gift. This company is a joke."
"Placed an order for a video card on Jan 10th. Credit card was charged right away. Checked status everyday and never changed from sent to warehouse. Sent them an Email that Monday and got an email back that it should be shipped buy that Monday or Tuesday. Well it never shipped, called them up (good luck finding a number) and the lady on the phone said that they were trying to find a supplier for the video cards. I said no problem.
Now I get an email saying they cancelled my order because a price mistake. Why didn't they tell me this on Monday or Tuesday? After all this they gave me a $5.00 gift card. I think it should be more like $20.00. Never will buy from them again.

"I ordered a video card on sale at buy.com about a week ago. According to the web page, the item was in stock at the time of ordering. Since then, the order has been "Processing", even though their site says "Usually ships in 1-2 days". Today, I log on to find that the order has been automatically canceled because "We are out of stock and have no ETA for when we will get additional stock." I would of gladly waited, as the price on the item was excellent. Fortunately, it does not appear that they charged my credit card. This will be the last time I even "attempt" to order anything from buy.com. Such bait and switch sale tactics are unacceptable."

saturday morning - added to cart, checked out, received order confirmation, order confirmation stated "will ship within 1 to 2 days"
thursday morning - received notice of delay, product out of stock, will ship as soon as restocked (five to ten working days?)
friday morning - received notice of cancellation. other online forums state the same.
at least they gave everyone w/ a cancelled order a $5 gift card for our troubles. :rolleyes:"
"Very bad customer service and they obviously doesn't care about customer loyalty. Very quick and charging money up front but let customer wait weeks for their orders to know that it was canceled due to a price mistake. That was the last time I ordered anything from them"
"Purchased a EVGA SSC GTX 280 and they cancelled 6 days later after I purchased a $230 power supply to go with it. So, they got my business for the power supply and screwed me on the video card. Failure to honor sale prices. Also I know from past experience that they are horrible dealing with refunds and returns for replacement (can take a month to six weeks!).
I have had a few more purchases with buy.com but I don't trust them much because they have a history of being difficult with returns. Worse than most big online sellers. Regardless I am going to give them a slightly higher rating for eventually fixing things and not messing up too badly since."

All this time my CC was charged which means I've might have been paying interest for them to earn interest.

If it was an error, than how did people that ordered these an hour before me get theirs no problem? "Buy has generally been a good experience for me, with efficient order processing and decent shipping times. Their regular prices aren't the best, but you can find good deals from time to time. I haven't needed to make any returns, nor had any problems with my orders."
