"Shipping / Processing time is incredibly slow. I ordered on 11/23, and they didn't process it until the 26th. They shipped on the 27th, but they have this convoluted setup where UPS works with the post office.
Long story short, instead of it taking one day (maybe two) for something to go from IL to MI, we're on day 10 with nothing.

"Not happy at all with the service they provide. I purchased a product off their ebay branch and it took 2 days before any word of my order being received and then it took 2+ emails to get them to send me my tracking information in which it contained nothing about the name of the shipping method. I had to manually figure it out (turns out it was USPS) and their website's paypal order status checking feature is terrible. It DOES NOT WORK. Worst experience with an online retailer. I should have paid the extra bucks for newegg.

"Do not buy from BUY.COM!! I ordered this video card on the night of the 26th with express two day shipping so it would arrive around the same time the other items I purchased from newegg.com would. I ordered 12 items from newegg.com on the same night with the standard free 3 day shipping, the order was received by newegg on the 27th and they arrived at my house on the 28th! "Awful awful customer service. After placing an order that hadn't been shipped 5 days later, I called to cancel it. Had to wait 30 minutes on the phone to talk to a customer service representative. She couldn't guarantee anything but would put the request through. 2 days later they decided that they couldn't cancel the order and shipped it, the DID, however cancel the coupon I used and so charged me (and my credit card) more than I authorized them to for without my permission. Now my options are to try to be there when UPS delivers so that I can refuse the item, or to go through the RMA nightmare process with them to get my money back. "
"What a mess. I used Google Checkout to make my purchase at Buy.com and EVERYTHING was a mess. The good news is I finally recieved my full refund for an order that never shipped. The bad news is that it took over four emails to buy.com to get them to fix it. The integration of Google Checkout with Buy.com is horrible. I love Google, but I strongly do not recommend using it with Buy.com. After you place your order, buy.com even tells you they may not be able to give you an accurate order status for purchases via Google Checkout...What???
Buy.com's customer service sent me conficiting emails and even emails that showed that had not read my messages I sent using their online customer service forms. I finally had to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the California State Attorney General's Office."
"This website sucks, if you order something and changed your mind, it is almost impossible to contact customer service to cancel. I purchased a scandisk sansa refurbished and it broke in less than 2 months. After waiting for 30 min to talk to a cust. rep. they told me that they can't do anything about. Thank god for my credit card company which takes care of these things. I am in dispute with them right now for the charges.

"I ordered a Lacie external hard drive from buy.com. Two weeks passed and I never received my order. I called many times and no one ever picks up the phone. Stayed on hold for 30 min. several times and never got an answer. I tried to cancel my order and they told me their not sure if it will go through. This stores customer service is a joke. Saving a few dollars is not worth the hours you will spend trying to get your money back when they screw up."
