I ordered an LCD monitor on Saturday and I got it Tuesday (even with the "dreaded" free shipping option). I got exactly the item I wanted, super-fast, in perfect condition and cheaper than anywhere else I could find.

"I wanted to buy an item that was less than $75 but was advertised to have free shipping over $75, so I added another item to my shopping cart to bring the total (Excluding tax & shipping) over $75. "Placed my order on August 23rd. A week later (the 30th), after no indication that the product had shipped, I tried to cancel it and they refused since it had supposedly "already shipped". I was sent a tracking number the following day, which was unrecognizable on the USPS web site until September 7th, a week later. Another week later, I finally received the package. Guess what? It was post marked September 7th. Emailed Buy.com asking them why they would lie about a product shipping to get out of canceling an order. I simply got an email back stating it shipped August 31st (a lie) and the only thing I could do was refuse delivery. It's now been 10 days since I refused delivery, and not a peep from Buy.com. It looks like I'll have to handle this with my bank. I'm done with Buy.com, and I will never recommend them to anyone."

"Buy.com has chosen not to honor a $150 rebate on a Hannspree LCD TV. Connedt3D and Buy.com teamed up on the promotion but now Connect3D has gone out of business. Buy.com continues to sell products but will not honor their part of the sale. The rebate only worked at Buy.com so they should be responsible for honoring the rebate. They won't accept a return for refund either. I'm very disappointed with this seller. Numerous calls to customer service have resulted in only an insulting offer of a $10 gift certificate. This used to be a good company however this type of abandonment to a long time customer has caused me to go elsewhere."
"So i bought a VX Revolution mouse on August 30th with free shipping expecting it to come in a week or so time frame. it's been 3 weeks and i haven't seen the mouse once. I've checked the tracking number buy.com gives you, but that was useless since it was never updated. [it doesn't even work in the first place, since UPS doesn't recognize the number] now I'm going through my claim to get a replacement shipped to my house and this is already taking up a weeks worth of time. "Ordered a mouse with MIR. Received mouse ok. Followed up on rebate several times, to be told to wait another 2-3 weeks each time. Now I go to their website which lists the order, but lists the order status as "cancelled."
Still no rebate as of 9-15-07. This fits with other comments on this website."
"1st, the item I bought was backordered even though Buy.com was showing it as available. As a result they shipped it 20 days later. 2nd, it was never delivered. Buy.com says that according to the shipper (USPS) it was, but I've never seen it. 3rd, they declined to replace the item.
In the end I had to call my bank and ask them to cancel transaction."
"Buy.com service looks good but somehow it has link with some wrong companies. Earlier I wrote about no mail in rebate from creative labs and some cooked reason behind that. This time I got to know that they have transferred my credit card number to some 'everyday value' company. Actually it happens during checkout and by mistake you say yes. Matter doesn't end here. I told credit card service to dispute everyday value charges. Instead of doing that, they transferred me to their number and service was unavailable. It shows that they have some link with everyday value company. Everyone, please beware that your account is not safe with buy.com site. I have citi bank credit card for last 10 years and never got this type of problem."

"Man... I got jacked by Buy.com and will NEVER NEVER order from them again. I ordered Targus Screen Groove Backpack w/ Notebook Chill Mat and Wireless Rechargeable Optical Mouse (item #205476682) on 8/20/07. They come under one item as a kit item. After two weeks, I get a mouse in the mail. Only A MOUSE!!! I'm thinking the backpack and the chill mat would be shipped separately. I go on Buy.com and check the status of the order and it is shown to be shipped. I emailed the customer service to see when I would get the rest of the order. They say there seems to be a missing item and I need to contact the manufacturer. I place an order with Buy.com for 3 items and they sent only one item and tell me to contact the manufacturer? NONSENSE!!! Of course, I already opened the mouse and started using it and cannot even return the damn mouse. I emailed the customer service 3 times and they sent the same "pre-formatted" messages. I make 80% of my purchase online and this is one of the worst customer service I ever had, especially from a big name company like Buy.com. I would NEVER NEVER NEVER buy from them EVER AGAIN!!!"
