"I bought some speakers for my Plasma TV. I found out that the speakers I bought were for my TV, but were for a monitor instead. I called to cancel the order. The order had not shipped yet. I had the unpleasant experience of being shunted to their call center in Manilla. The person who took my request to cancel the order did not comprehend what I wanted. He ended up cancelling a discount on the order instead of the order itself. Instead of having $202.00 of my money occupied and frozen... I now have $210.00 of my money hanging in limbo. I called back several times... and the call center did not want to tell me that they were located in the Phillipines.

All told... because the person at the order center was Mega-clueless... and did not cancel my order... my funds are locked... and these speakers... that I cannot use... are on their way to my house via FedEx. Buy.com is telling me that I may have to pay to return the speakers myself! I am so sick of these guys. They don't know what they are doing, they sound like they do... but you won't really know.... until you get burned!

Don't buy from these clowns! You think that the price you pay saves you some money, but now you have to deal with their ultra-poor service. Even their e-mails back to me are written from a script... and the people who wrote those scripts... don't speak correct english. I am not a fan of outsourcing... but this reinforces my opinion.

I will never, ever, do business with Buy.com ever again !!!!!

"Ordered a video game for my son with 2 day express shipping, Buy.com web site stated it was shipped on the 24th, but never got it. Emailed them (because no number to contact them) there reply was that it takes 2 to 4 days processing time before item goes out for shipping. Hmmm,,, I have a tracking # for UPS that says billing info received not shipped. But buy.com said it is in transit. Bad experiance, last time I buy from them.. INDIA call center? Get real, can't we employee our out of work americans. Oh thats right, we won't work for pennies..... Crap Company sucking up profits and lacking customer care... AMAZON.com here I come...."

"Wow, it's no wonder these criminals have such bad ratings here!

They sent out emails advertising some USB flash drives "FREE AFTER REBATE". This was their promotion, "FREE AFTER REBATE". The company, Connect3D, was BANKRUPT, yet these a-holes were STILL PROMOTING IT! I spent $50 for a $10 product, because it was "FREE AFTER REBATE".

After months passed, the jerks finally tell me that Connect3D went bankrupt, and they think that's the end of it. They (Buy.com) will be getting sued by me, along with thousands of their other victims. This is FRAUD. Don't trust these criminals.

"Beware of this store's outrageous return policy. You only have 14 days from the date the order leaves the warehouse to request an RMA, which could translate into only a couple of days from the date you receive the order. I ordered an HDMI switch from them. I don't have to switch video inputs very often, so it took me a few weeks to realize that the switch failed nearly 50% of the time. So it was within 30 days of the shipment when I contacted them and told them the product was unacceptable. Nevertheless, they stood behind their unfair policy and stole my money, leaving me sadder, wiser and poorer with a useless hunk of junk. I ordered another switch from NewEgg."

"I purchased a 37" HD TV from Hannspree through Buy.Com. It was advertised with a $200 rebate. I never received my rebate and learned the rebate company is bankrupt. Buy.Com is failing to honor the rebate and only provided a $10 credit. I have purchased many items in the past through Buy.Com but I'm convinced they are crooked and can't be trusted anymore. Don't buy through them."

"I purchased 2 4-packs of Kingston secure digital 1 Gb cards from Buy.com because of their low price and the fact they included a $19.00 rebate. Terms and Conditions posted at the time of purchase indicated a limit of two per household. I submitted the rebates only to be denied the second rebate and told the limit was one by Kingston. I contacted Buy.com to ask them what was going on and why I was being denied and their customer support sent me what they said was the terms and conditions for this offer which indicate limit was one. This was not the rebate form available at the time of purchase and support person said it was my fault for not reading it carefully. I have sent them a copy of the rebate form they had posted at date of sale and wonder how a business can survive when they create false documentation to support their claims. I would be very careful in dealing with Buy.com. I have had successful transactions with them in the past but I am shocked a company would produce manufactured documetation to cover what appears to be a mistake by them in posting a incorrect rebate form. Kingston was professional enough to honor the second rebate after I had produced the original rebate form stating the limit of two despite it being a Buy.com mistake. Buyer beware!"

"Ordered an expensive IBM laptop through the site because it was the best price I could find. I selected overnight shipping because I needed it fast.

Laptop came defective, with stuck pixels and a malfunctioning cd-rom tray. I returned the laptop per their RMA procedure.

This is where the trouble starts. IT TAKES THEM 10 BUSINESS DAYS TO PROCESS A RETURN!! This is the longest I've ever heard of. Support is useless via email or phone, they tell you the same thing over and over.

While they claim your satisfaction is important, that is obviously not the case. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

"I ordered a PS3 and Madden 08 -- both items listed as "IN STOCK." Almost two weeks later -- after multiple phone calls, with hold times in excess of 20 minutes, and e-mails -- I get an e-mail stating that the order cannot be fullfilled from distributer. I rattle off an angry e-mail and cancel my order. Low and behold, Buy.com sends the items that day, which means I cannot cancel my order. I only bought frm them because I had a $10 off coupon. Believe me, it wasn't worth it. Now, will I actually get the item they said has shipped? That'll be the real question.

FOLLOW UP: Buy.com just canceled my $10 off coupon. Thanks buy.com, you monkeys are true professionals.

"Dear Diary:

Years ago, when I was younger and impulsive, I lost my online virginity to BUY.COM with my first web purchase.

At that time, BUY.COM was a hot and my experience was great. Eventhough I don't make it a habit of "getting around" online, I will always remember my first online "transaction".

So, many years later, I had a need to again get back in to the market for some "good stuff". Fond memories of my BUY.COM experience put them on the short list of candidates. Again, BUY.COM looked attractive so I made several seperate transactions. I must say, BUY.COM delivered and I was satisfied - So why do I now hate BUY.COM after all we have shared?

Because, they did not respect me the next day!

During the checkout process with BUY.COM, I was offered a few additional items such as magazine subsciptions, joining a discount shopping club, etc. These offers were enticing because you got a coupon toward a future BUY.COM transaction. These offers are from BUY.COM's "friends". Sort of like BUY.COM inviting a few freinds over to the party. I liked the attention, what can I say.

One of these "freinds" is TRILEGIANT (aka Completehome.com, Everydayvalues.com, GreatFun.com and a host of others). I am now ashamed to admit I took Trilegiant up on his offer (with BUY.COM's standing by and watching) and we had a "transaction". I have come to realize how I was used and degraded by both of them. It is hard to talk about.

If you want ot know what kind of scoundrel this Trilegiant character is: Google "TRILEGIANT COMPLAINTS" and discover how BUY.COM is inviting unsavory friends over to crash your party.

Not only does BUY.COM introduce you to these so called "freinds" knowing what they are really like, but leaves you in the room alone with them and feigns ignorance when Trilegiant makes their moves on you.

Shame on you BUY.COM for damaging the fond memory of my "first web expereince" - I was in love but after you left me alone with Trilegiant and never helped or contacted me after I wrote you numerous times - I am done with you

BUY.COM, I hope it was worth it, you left me to scoundrel like Trilegiant and now you have lost me forever. Goodbye.

"I ordered a Plantronics Voyager 510 Bluetooth headset with windsmart.
It has been 8 days and I have not received the item. The price was great but good price or no good price, if it takes a month of Sundays to receive the item, I would rather spend a few dollars more and go to my local Circuit City and have it the same day. Buy.Com offered free shipping and that is too much. They have the most ludicrous delivery system I have ever seen; UPS picks-up the package from their warehouse, then it is taken to a UPS sorting facility, then it is taken to The United States Postal service, the United States Postal is then responsible for transport and delivery of the merchandise, and get this
it is BULK mail which takes forever to have delivered, who knows what kind of condition it will arrive in. Forget Buy.Com and their free shipping!
