"Originally they had a deal for Antec SX1000 cases w/o a power supply listed @ $47.00 per case. I decided to order two of them, however I have yet to receive any product. I have yet to be in contact with anyone affiliated with this company. My credit card was charged on the 29th of July, and in an e-mail directly from them they said that my order could not be shipped in a timely manner so they cancelled my order. In addition to not asking me if they could cancel it, or if I wanted to wait a bit longer, they claimed my credit card would be credited within 3-5 business days. It's been over a month and I have yet to receive a credit from them!

When I inquired about my order through e-mail I did not receive a response. I also left a phone message, but did get a return phone call. Recently I called my credit card company and reversed the charges on this order. If I ever get in touch with anyone I will post back with an update, until then my advice is to STAY CLEAR of EMS Computing!! (Do not order from this company as they make it very apparent that they do not care about customer service)

"Like several previous posters, I ordered a Samsung Dynaflat 19" monitor (955DF) on July 24th. Of course, they charged me for it immediately -- their websit says they change your credit card "almost immediately after notification that your order is scheduled to ship." I NEVER RECIEVED ANY NOTIFICATION FROM THEM. In fact, the first time I sent an email, the response I recieved said it was an automatic email. It said, paraphrased, that they were recieving a log of business from their "recent promotion" and are "preparing my order." This was a week after I ordered it. After another week, I sent a second email, which recieved no response. I tried the phone number, which had only a recording saying "to contact us, please use our email address..." Finally I called my credit card company and got a credit to my account. They, as far as I know, are still trying to resolve the matter."

"Ordered a Samsung Dynaflat 19" monitor (955DF) on a special "no shipping" day they had offered. My credit card was charged immediately, and I hoped to get my new monitor (for a great price!) quickly.
A week goes by, and no shipping confirmation information on their website. A day later (8 days after ordering), I receive an e-mail from them saying that they were unable to ship my monitor in a "timely manner", and that they've cancelled my order!
I replied back to them, via e-mail, and told them that was unacceptable, and they should ship my monitor. No response. Tried calling them, just got some stupid answering machine, left a message, no call back.
Checked their website, and it showed that they had 1982 of that monitor in stock.....yet they couldn't ship ONE to me in a timely manner!!

I think this is more of a case of "we were going to lose our pants on this free shipping". I will never buy from them again, and would advise no one else do so either!!

"OK, everyone. I never had an account with REseller Ratings but created one specifically because of EMS. There service is worse than words can describe. I have been trying for a month to email anyone in this company and not one person will reply. All of these emails were sent professionally, no profanity, etc. I call - No answer. I email - No answer. My order got cancelled (which is fine) but I can't order anything else because my credit card is still charged. I have to call the credit card company to put a stop on the order! What kind of hack business is this? Who is actually in charge over here? Do me a favor.... NEVER ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!! Well, unless you enjoy being ripped off.

Oh, and to elaborate on an earlier posting reguarding Phone numbers.... Try these email addresses if you are having the same problem as me (Which quite a few people are)

"This is my second order. I ordered SMC7008ABR Cable/DSL 8 port router and a 3COM 3C905C-TX-M etherlink pci card. Items arrived quickly and packaged well. Will continue to have my business.

I ordered an Antec full tower case with 400W power supply on March 12, 2002. It arrived extremely fast and was still sealed in original plastic. Had no problems.

"Well, I read the reviews, but I went with my past experiences which have been great. I have made over 10 purchases within the last twelve months from EMS without any trouble. The most recent was 08/20/02. I submitted my order and had the product by 08/23/02 with ground shipping. From what I understand, they were in the process of moving and that is over. I had no problems and will purchase again."

"Heh. I ordered from this company last June, and they f'd me too. They screwed me so bad, that even now, I'm posting to forums like this to help inform potential customers. In any case, I noticed some posts that said 'they were in the process of moving...'. FYI, they were moving when they screwed me over as well. They sure seem to move a lot, and turn off the phones quite a bit for a business as well. My personal situation is that I ordered $100 or so of merchandise, all of which was listed as in stock, shipping in 1-2 days. After 2 weeks of silence, I e-mail cancelled the order. Days later, they shipped it anyhow and charge me. I took me 4 months to get all my money back from them. http://www.amerisuk.com/~rfox/ems to read the whole gut wrenching story."

"To all customers of EMSComputing who are seeking a refund:

I have basically been in the same situation as everyone else--ordered an item, order was cancelled with refund promised, and no refund for a month.

How to get your refund:
1) Dial Phone # 1-***-***-**** and when you hear the greeting, just dial in extension even if it doesn't ask for it.
2) Dial 2355 (General Manager - Herb Jones)
3) Either talk to him during business hours or leave him a voicemail.

I have to say, Mr. Jones was very nice and patient to handle and clear up my situation. He told me that my refund was posted last week, and that I should receive it this Friday. So I will update everyone if I have received it or not.

But before this, I have done everything everyone else has done: E-mailed numerous times without any response, Called, left messages, etc. Thanks to ResellerRatings I have obtained a valid extension to speak to a live person!

"Well this was interesting. I placed the order on monday, and by friday I had still not heard anything. It's impossible to talk to a live person at their company. And they do not respond to their emails. HOWEVER, on friday I found this board, looked at the 100+ negative reviews and basically shat a brick. I thought my $$ was gone for good, and when I checked my bank, my CC had been charged but no tracking number. Although, I left 10+ messages on their automated system, called each one of the voice mails and left a professional message asking them to either ship or refund. And also used the on-site emails a few times. Finally, today, 8/24/02 I get my tracking info!!! So in all fairness to the company I wanted to paste this and tell what happened. People said they were going through a move, I don't know if that is true or not, but I think this *may* be an honest company, but just ran into a snag these past two months. Although, if they couldn't handle the business during the move, they should have shut the site down for awhile. I'll give them a decent rating because I believe in the future, once their problems are ironed out, it should be okay. However, I'll edit my post if my product I ordered comes damaged or with no box... ;p

**** UPDATE ****

Got a call today from Herb. He apologized for the delay, and was pretty nice. He told me that there was a problem with the email system and that's why there was a lot of confusion on my order. However, I would suggest to him or if anyone working at that company is reading this, get some live people on the phones, or at least hire some more. For a company that has thousands of products, at least you could have 10+ good salesmen/customer service reps.

"I had a much better experience with this company than the majority of people on here. I ordered from them before checking this site, and after my CC was billed without me receiving a tracking # (a definite minus), I came here to check it out.

I was worried when I read the pages of extremely negative comments posted here. I called several of the numbers posted by an EMS rep a couple pages back, and finally got through to a man named Herb. He was extremely helpful, and assured me my order (Logitech Z560) speakers were shipped out and he personally looked up the tracking number and told it to me. He apologized for the automatic email not arriving. The email finally did arrive yesterday, 3 business days after my CC was billed.

My speakers arrived today, 4 business days after I placed the order. They are in perfect working condition, and I am wholy statisfied with my order.

Perhaps I merely got lucky, or maybe the company is trying to reestablish its name. The service was excellent in all regards except the lack of order confirmation, which hurts their rating somewhat.

"I ordered from this company and had the same problems that everyone else had, I regret not having looked here before I ordered. Yesterday, I called them and just as everyone says got the phone system run around. I called the number listed for the domain name administrator and got the same run around. By looking up who owns the IPs of their domain servers I called the administrator of that IP block, since he was not availiable (he is no longer with the company that he worked for) I called UUNet, who those IP addresses ultimately belong to and they couldn't do much to help. I also called the BBB, that didn't help either. Hopeless, I decided to write one more email to Price Watch. The next day when I got home from school I asked my stepdad to stop payment on the order. Before that I checked my email and discovered an email from EMS Computing. Surely enough, they confirmed my order. The second email was a reply to my Price Watch complaint with a tracking number that Ben Tomblin was nice enought to send me (****@****). So if you are having problems with company I would sugges to terrorize him with email or send Price Watch a complaint. Good luck."

This was before they moved, I'm note sure if they changed their numbers. This was the only way I was able to get my refund from them after 10 days, where they promised in 3-5 days. I thought I was ripped off again and won't be able to get my money back. Fortunately with the help of resellerratings.com I found these numbers. I called them one by one until I got a real one. I told them how bad their service is, and that their ratings are going down. Then they told me, they got excellent ratings with other sites. I didn't really believe them. I guess I learned my lesson now, before I purchase any product online, I have to make sure I checked all their ratings before then. I felt bad for all of those who had bad experience with this company. They said the reason this is happening, is because of their up coming move. Well if they know their moving, they should have temporarily close their business then. And quit charging customer's credit card, if they know they can't provide the appropriate service. This will eliminate some of their work, and maybe they'll get less complaints. I think this company shouldn't be on the business at all.
