"We ordered a pair of cleats for my son. He received them and tried them for one hour at an indoor training facility. The cleats were painful and the wrong size so we returned them. The refund was denied because the refund department decided they were dirty and that they could not be restocked. I called customer service, waited 45 minutes for help and have been told that there is no disputing the decision of the return department. The man on the phone offered no help, would not send me to his manager and said there is no phone number to contact the return department. I do not understand this type of service. How is an athlete expected to buy shoes online and not be given the freedom to try the shoes. I could understand if the shoes were damaged but that is not the case. It was the wrong size. Every other online retailer take returns and at the very least will communicate and address the needs of a customer. This is a shady business model and I am disappointed in the way I have been treated. I am most disappointed that we gave this company additional business by ordering a replacement shoe expecting to be treated fairly and given a refund. I understand now why there are so many negative reviews about Eastbay. I will definitely be adding mine to the list. This will be the last time my family makes any purchases through this business. "

Last 3 buying experiences were terrible.

"In the last probably 10 years I have made purchases at least a dozen times. At the beginning it was all great and I always received what I wanted. However the last 3 purchases have been terrible.
They changed the sizes of products without notice, and a couple of times they even shipped products I didn't order. I used to be happy with Eastbay years ago but based on my last 3 orders I think I will never buy from them again.
Sorry Eastbay.

"I ordered a baseball bat and when it didn’t arrive I notified the company, they ship the package via ups then was transferred to usps the package was stolen or lost. Once I talked to Eastbay they said they would open a investigation which would take 8 days. I cancelled the order and reordered on Amazon "

Mixed results

"I’ve had good and bad experiences with Eastbay over the years but most recently was really bad. I ordered on 8/17 and was told I’d receive my package in 5-6 days. My large order was shipped in 2 partial, for whatever reason. The first partial order with only a few items showed up right on time. The second, larger part of the order was shipped in reasonable time but after a few days I checked on it and it was held up by FedEx because Eastbay put too many labels on it. I reached out to Eastbay for help and they told me to deal with it, they literally did NOTHING, we they did was tell me to set up pick up where the items were held up, which happened to be over 200 miles away or if it shows back up at their place, they’ll give me a refund. I explained that I needed the basketball shoes for my son but they didn’t care. So, I reached out to FedEx and thought they were going to send it but for whatever reason they decided to send back to Eastbay. So, I reached out to Eastbay again yesterday for help and wanting them to send me what I ordered and paid for but all they said was that they’ll start an investigation that will take 8 days and that’s after they contact me in 24-48 hours. So, here I sit, they have my $, I have none of the merchandise I ordered and doesn’t seem like I am not getting it and they definitely do not care or want to help me correct th issue they created. I highly recommend Scheels or ****’s, they actually seem to care about the customer."

Worst customer service

"My son received some cleats as a gift from my husbands boss. My son didn't like them and I called to do an exchange. If you don't have the persons first and last name, home address, email, phone number then you can't exchange an item and I didn't know this until my husbands boss received a refund. I called before I sent the cleats back and after and was told that I should not have any problems with the exchange, I just couldn't return them. As soon as they got the cleats they sent the money back to my husbands boss that he no longer works for. Obviously your representatives need more training because they are providing false information."

The worst

"Upon my receipt of two shirts I ordered from them I tried the items on. The shirts were too small. The sizing isn’t true to size. I immediately returned the items with tags intact. Eastbay shipped the items back to me and refused to give me a refund claiming the items were worn."

"Sat on hold for a 3 Hours during a 2 day period to try to talk to someone. While I was on hold I even wrote an email with my problem. After final talking to someone I final got my account fixed. 2 days later I got a response from the email I sent with a generic response. There customer service is awful. I bet if I wanted to make a order I wouldn't be waiting for a response by email "

I wish I had checked here first!

"This place deserves only 1 star.

I place my order on Nov 27 for a simple pair of Nike shoes. USPS notes this shipment as delayed, but with not a single update since Dec 4. Chatbot was worthless. The fist time I called and was on hold, the call was disconnected. I called again the next day and was on hold for nearly 20 minutes before a representative answered. She blamed everything on USPS and refused to take any action.

Liars / Scammers / WORST Customer Service

"Ordered football cleats for my son. Received an email telling me the order was on the way. When I clicked 'Track my Order' it said, 'We will update this information as soon as the carrier provides us with the information.' For four days I kept getting the same message.
I called customer service and was on hold for 54 minutes waiting to speak to someone. When I finally spoke to someone they were unable to provide any information. I asked to speak to a supervisor. I was put on hold for another 30 minutes.
The next person answered the phone and explained my order was picked up on Wednesday and should be to my house by Wednesday or Thursday. I asked for his supervisor number and he said he wasn't a supervisor.
I asked to speak to supervisor, and waited another 25 minutes. When the supervisor answered she gave me a different story than the other two customer service reps. When I confronted them with the fact their web sight says orders will be shipped the next business day, she hung up on me. After being on the phone for over two hours. Will NEVER order from them again.

"This company won't let you return faulty shoes. It's literally the only major show seller in 2020 that this is true for. Buy from Nike, Dicks, Amazon, Ebay, etc. All of them will let you return faulty shoes."

Do not Buy from Mamba Academy who Uses East Bay

"I ordered 4 items from the Mamba Academy who uses East Bay for some forsaken reason. Took 4 Weeks to get my order.

Keep in mind, this is not a Mamba issue except for the fact they use East Bay. To be clear, this is an EAST BAY ISSUE.
I hate to say don't buy from the Mamba Academy but they use EAST BAY as their sales agent. I am an absolute Kobe Bryant fan but I cannot support them with the way East Bay works.

Their sizes runny very small so I wanted to Return a shirt and exchange another shirt.

I call 1 day and 30 min on hold and no answer. 2nd day on hold for over 1 hour and no answer. 3rd day on hold for 30 min and decide to leave a voice mail. They are supposed to return my call by next day 10am PST.

I get an email at about 12:30pm saying they called and left a voice mail. That's a lie because I never got a voicemail nor a missed call.

Their email isn't very professional either.

I email them the issue of wanting to return and exchange.
Response is their website says No Return No Exchanges. They are telling me "No 'Decorated' Items". Who the heck knows what a 'Decorated' item is? I didn't order anything personalized.
I just ordered from the Mamba Academy site. No where on the redirected East Bay Store site does it say No Returns No Exchanges.
Of course they tell me I'm more than welcome to purchase more product. What a joke of a company.

"I ordered a pair of nike shoes and never received my package after 3 weeks. You would think that EASTBAY would send a curtesy email saying " I'm sorry for the inconvenience and we are working to ship your package to you asap.
I had to call the company and issue a refund!! SPEND EXTRA DOLLARS AND BUY FROM FOOTLOCKER OR CHAMPS!!
