"Tried to order an I pad but the $25 off would not apply so I emailed them, no answer in writing they want me to call and talk to them “at my earliest connivence“ the question is clear the answer simple, not for them Glad I checked the reviews!"

They are lying about their reseller rating on the website.

"Thank God I did my research beforehand. The company is even lying about their resellerratings from this website on their website. When I clicked to sell my phone and scrolled to the bottom they have that their resellerratings is 4.5 out of 5 with 12k reviews. However that is clearly not the case, on here it is 1.5 out of 5 with 13k reviews, a 1k difference in reviews is not going to drastically swing that rating pendulum. The company is clearly misrepresenting their rating on their website, they are bold. Good thing I checked on here before going through with anything. They should get sued for that kind of gross misrepresentation, crazy. "

Be prepared for a "bait and switch"

"The title to one review was correct. Don't walk....Run from Gazelle! I was originally quoted $182 for good condition phone. Been in a case with screen protector all it's life. What a racket this company runs. I'm sure most people need the money right away and accept their low ball offers so they can double or triple their profit margins off you.

It was also a waste of over two weeks of my time. The processing dept also discarded my original Apple box which is valuable to many if I sold it to another company or on ebay. Also, the phone was not packaged safely in the return box. It was just thrown in the box with a crinkled piece of paper on top allowing it to slide all around. It would have much more secure back in it's box. The day I bought my new phone I was offered in person by AT&T and Best Buy much more than their $70. So when I got their original quote for $182, I obviously took it, but their offer was apparently too good to be true.

I ended up rejecting their counter offer, asked for it to be returned and sold it to Up Trade Technologies which upon inspection offered me $151. So obviously it isn't just my opinion that the phone was in much better condition than they stated. Save your time and go with Up Trade!

They have become a fraud

"Fraud. We sent a nearly new iPad Pro 12.9 256GB WiFi to them. They devalued the offer $75 because our WiFi iPad "didn't make calls" and was "unlocked" (It's WiFi you idiots), as well as screen blemishes and a bad pixel. This is false since we had AppleCare plus still active and would have had the screen replaced if it had those issues. Asked them to check again and they devalued it further (so they screwed up the first evaluation?). Asked them to check again since WiFi iPads don't make calls. So they deleted that comment and kept the lousy, twice reduced offer. Asked them to send it back and we received our iPad with a totally shattered screen in a bag. And it was shattered from multiple points on the screen. Guess that's our "payback" for questioning them.They damaged our product. This is fraud plain and simple."

DON'T WALK AWAY FROM GAZELLE...RUN!!!

"I received a quote from Gazelle for $46.00 based on my accurate assessment of the condition of my Galaxy S7 phone. My phone was nearly flawless except for slight discoloration of the screen. It had ZERO scratches anywhere on it. However, after they received it I got an email from them notifying me that not only would they not honor their original offer, but they now changed the value to zero. They did offer to recycle it for me though at no charge (how generous of them). Needless to say, I demanded they send it back to me. Verizon offered me $32.00. Done deal. Thanks Gazelle for the education. Now I'm on a mission to educate others. Scram from this scam!!!"

Really?

"I purchased a iphone xs max for over $600.00. 3 days later I went to check the status of of shipping only to find out my order has been cancelled. I could not believe it so when I called they did not seem surprised but said that if the shipping does not match the billing address the order is automatically canceled, WTF? And on top of this the address did match, they could offer no explanation and I did not as of yet get my money refunded which now I am out a phone another 4 days at least and that is only if I get my money back today but they said it wont be for at least another 48 hours. Please do not give your business to this b.s. company, amazon renewed will offer the same and stand behind their products."

On my third replacement phone, total of 4 orders and all have been wrong or blocked

"First order: They sent a carrier blocked (“lost or stolen”) phone and denied it was blacklisted even after I sent them confirmation from AT&T. But they refunded me.

Second try: ordered iPhone 11 Pro ... received iPhone 11 (non the Pro). They confirmed that the IMEI they had on file was for a non-Pro, someone screwed up. Offered me a 5% discount on my replacement order and free faster shipping

Third order: They sent a carrier blocked (“lost or stolen”) phone though this time they acknowledged it is blacklisted. They refunded me.

Fourth try: it’s in the mail, hoping it finally goes right ...

Easy

"They make it easy, that’s for sure. Contrary to other reviews, I got the full offer; no issues with shipping, damaged device, or anything really. I will say though, I don’t think they pay top dollar for your used devices. Apple would have given me twice as much for my iPhone X, but there was a chip on the camera lens. I got it replaced and went straight to Gazelle. Should have checked with Apple again. "

Absolutely horrible

"I just recently bought my 3rd phone from this company. I always purchase the unlocked phones but for some reason the ad said it was an unlocked phone but it wasn’t. I then paid the $15 to get the phone turned on and another $10 for a new SIM card. After being on the phone with customer service they only offered me 10% off my next purchase... not refund of my $25 that I have spent on the SIM card and activation fee. So if I were even going to buy another phone from them I will have to spend another $15. I will not buy another phone from them so I’m out $25 :)))))))))))))))))))"

You get more $$$ from other companies

"Gazelle offered me $108. Then when they received my phone they told me I would only get $56 because a pixel was dead and there were "too many scratches" for it to be considered good. Um, my phone left me with ZERO scratches. I had a case on it at all times. I said nope send it back. Got it back. Still ZERO scratches on it. So I am not sure who they think they are fooling. I also don't believe a pixel was dead. I got $200 from Apple. I'm happy. I'd never send another phone to Gazelle. They lost their chance. Also to note, they make you pack your phone up super well. They sent mine wrapped in brown paper and that was it. Really!!!!"

"I mailed in a pristine GS8 using their packaging only to get an email saying the phone was cracked and the screen didnt light up. Gazelle is a TOTAL SCAM and they will not take responsibility for damaging your property. "

Scratches??

"I was initially offered $190 for my old phone. After they received it I was reordered $80 because of scratches. It’s a 2 year old phone so it’s not perfect but it’s actually in good condition. I requested my phone back (did not accept the new offer) and I’ll give the phone to a women’s shelter. At least I made this b.s. company spend $20 in shipping costs!"

100% SCAM... Avoid at all costs

"SCAM! Here's what happened. I sent my iphone 8 to them in PERFECT condition. Not a scratch, dent or problem with the device. I had it in a case it's entire lifetime. They promised me a good price compared to other vendors, but as soon as they received the device, they said it didn't meet their standards and had "excessive scratches" so they gave me a low-ball offer, which I regretfully accepted. I wish I fought them but honestly I need the cash and didn't have the time since I was about to travel overseas. What a waste of time this place is. I hope they're all arrested and their profits are confiscated. 0 stars, AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!"

Gazelle sold me a blacklisted phone

"I purchased an iphone 7 in Sep 2019, the phone was great and everything worked fine. However, in Jan of 2020 the phone suddenly stopped working with a No Service message, I went to my service provided and they told me the phone stopped working because it was blacklisted. I contacted Gazelle to get a replacement or refund and they (Ryan in Senior Customer Support) gave me the run around. He said that I had to get an official letter from my service provider indicating that they would not provide service to the phone because it was blacklisted, he was actually trying to make it sound like it was their fault. Ryan was very condescending and unhelpful, he has atrocious customer service skills. The bottom line is that I now have a $300 phone that is worthless while Gazelle has profited by selling a phone that was either stolen or that they did not have the legal right to sell. This should be an easy fix, they should apologize for putting me through this hassle and either give me another phone or a refund. Instead they want to make me jump through endless hoops, waste time without a phone, and have a very dissatisfied customer who will never purchase or recommend there service again. Please look elsewhere for your next phone so that you can avoid having to go through the same problems."
