Seems like a good deal until they have your phone...

"I sent in 2 iPhone 6 plus that I didn't need anymore. both had been in cases since the day I got them. Neither one had a scratch or scuff. I replaced the screen on one because I could not get some residue from the screen protector off, and wanted to make sure I got the max $91 per phone. I would have rated both phones 10/10 when I sent them in.

A few days after sending them into Gazelle, I revived an email stating that both phones had scratched cases, total BS, and that one of the phones had a screen that didn't power on all the way, again absolute BS. They then offered me $48 for one, and $58 for the other... what a joke and waste of time, I could have made more off of Craigslist or Offer Up. Don't waste your time selling your phones to Gazelle, they will not give you the actual offered price.

iPhone 6s Negative Experience

"Gazelle,

I went to your website at the end of May 2019 and submitted an offer for you to purchase my very good conditioned, unlocked, iPhone 6s. The offer I received was $110; I was satisfied so I accepted and you promptly send me a shipping label. I packaged my very good conditioned, unlocked, iPhone 6s in bubble wrap and shipped it to you then I received a notification that my phone was received on June 4th.

That same day I received notification that my offer was adjusted to $53 because there were scratches found and it was locked to a carrier (AT&T). I thought this was a mistake as I took several pictures of the phone prior to shipping it and my carrier is not even AT&T.

I called customer service and ask that they reprocess everything as there must be some kind of mistake. The lady I spoke to was really nice and very apologetic about the situation so she went ahead and submit for the technician to evaluate again.

I receive another email on June 6th stating the exact same result as June 4th’s evaluation. I called you again and spoke to a very nice customer service individual and expressed my concerns. She told me if I wasn’t happy with the offer I could decline it and it would be shipped back to me. I declined the offer as I was sure there was a mix up of some sort. After a few calls back to gazelle inquiring as too when my phone will be shipped, it showed up at my home on June 20th.

Upon opening the box, I noticed scratches on the back of the phone that were not there when I shipped the phone to gazelle. The condition of the phone can be confirmed with pictures that were taken prior to the packing and shipping of this phone. Unfortunately, I now have a phone that is indeed damaged through no fault of my own and worth a fraction of what it was prior to landing in gazelle’s hands.

I’m unsure what happened during this process, however please advise how gazelle is going to make this right. I look forward to your prompt response and resolution to this issue.

Whatever you do dont use Gazelle

"Submitted my galaxy s8+ for buyback. Phone was in like new condition, not blacklisted, had always been kept in high quality case with screen protector. Accepted their offer of 167 dollars and shipped it off. Sounds good right....not.
A week later I get a revised offer of 16.00 with the comment that it wont turn on or be activated. Obviously I was not happy told them to send back in the same like new condition I shipped it. I received it today it has obviously been opened up and whoever ever opened in crack the back cover trying to open it so now it is worthless for resale. Nice job Gazelle will never use again or recommend to anyone

SOLD A BLACKLISTED PHONE

"First shipping was a pain, USPS said it would be delivered June 15th but they tried to deliver it June 14th. I didn't know a signature was required so I had to reschedule delivery. USPS never redelivered it and it was a nightmare to pick up. I was told a post office an hour away had it, but they didn't.

Anyway I finally got the phone, great condition, worked great, etc, I was super happy. I put a screen protector on it, set it up, called Verizon to activate it... only to discover the previous owner still owed on it and they had no right to sell it!!! After being on hold with Verizon's fraud dept for 15 mins I was told there was NOTHING they could do, the phone could NOT be activated, it was BLACKLISTED. I was sold trash by Gazelle.

I emailed Gazelle and was told to call the claims dept, so I did. I got a recording saying they were unavailable and to leave a message. Seriously?! As of now I'm waiting to see how this gets resolved but I am DONE with Gazelle. The phone should've been verified it was usable when they purchased it and again when it was sold. They failed and now I have to go through all this nonsense. Ridiculous.

Inflated offer, always claim scratches in inspection

"Don’t waste your time, they are scam artists...you’ll never receive their first offer...my phone was perfect, new, top iPhone, and they came back claiming scratches which was not true, and offered 1/3 less for the phone, what a waste of time, and they are dishonest..."

Phone died in 6 months! Zero customer service.

"I used Gazelle to buy a Note 8 that was classified in "excellent" condition. Six months later it is completely dead. It won't charge and Verizon says it cannot be repaired. They urged me to take it back to the company I bought it from, but of course, Gazelle offers no recourse - no replacement or even an offer to repair it. Any company that won't stand by their product is not worthy of your money. There are many other options out there - learn from my mistake (and wasted $400) and choose to do business with a company who cares about their customers. Gazelle is not one of them."

Bait and Switch

"I was offered $180 for my Galaxy S8 that I kept in a case from the moment I unboxed it. Not so much as a scratch on the front, back or side. I sent it in the original box and packing expecting fair assessment. I was emailed that my offer was reduced to $124 because of unacceptable scratches! I almost accepted just to avoid the hassle which is what they count on. Instead I opted to have the device returned. AT&T has offered $200 to be used toward billing or att purchase. I will never use or recommend Gazelle again."

"Gazelle offered $104.00 for my Samsung Edge in excellent condition. Once I shipped the phone they came back and said they found bad pixels in the screen, and offered $57.00. I used the phone with no problems for a year and never seen a problem with the screen. "
