"I trusted I'd have good luck selling my Iphone 8 that was in mint condition. They quoted me $200 for it so I packed it really carefully and shipped it in. They sent back saying that they lowered the offer to $0. They wouldn't accept my item due to: screen has separated from the housing, scratches on the screen and screen doesn't fully light up. All three of these are total lies!!! The screen lights up fine, it's in almost new condition. There are no scratches anywhere on the device and the screen was fully intact with the housing. They said would you like to take the $0 or have us ship it back, I selected "ship back," haven't seen my phone since. I believe that they made up a bunch of bull **** so they didn't have to pay me, and they kept my phone anyway and made money off of it. I was robbed of a phone, and $200!! I am reporting to anyone and everyone I can. These scum balls are liars and cheaters and thieves.

"This is an extremely dishonest company. I ordered a Pixel 3a XL in purple-ish. They sent white. At first the agent tried to tell me it was a warranty issue. I asked to speak to a a manager. Was directed to EcoATM. They checked the stock , told me purple was available and that if I were to ship now, since the warehouse is in an adjacent state, it would ship today. Got off the phone rushed to the post office, took a photo of the receipt that USPS had the package, mailed it to support and called back. A different agent told me that was not possible. So after back and forth they sent out another phone. This time it was black. Called back. Again the agents were short and nasty. No where in any of the calls did anyone even say 'We're sorry'.. Was finally refunded and the entire experience is behind me. I have my purple Pixel now.
Go thru a trusted seller on eBay or Swappa if you are buying a phone outright. Then you have a 3rd party to mediate. Not a bunch of morons (not John, he was the only kind person at Gazelle) who can't even ship a proper color.
On top of that they delete negative reviews from facebook and their website. They sent an email ASKING for a review, i submitted a review and they sent an email refusing to publish it because I had been on contact with support. "
"I purchased iphone x silver at last last wednesday. However the phone was not delevered until last Friday and I called. The clerk there told me for unknown reason the payment was not approved once, but eventully went well, so because of this, their system lost track of my order. Which means, if I didn't call them, they would never shipped my phone!
I was upset but thought this can happen, and asked the clerk when the phone will be shipped. He said he's really sorry, and he will send via Fedex overnight shipping, which will one to two days to be here. And I hung up the phone.
Today, phone didn't arrive and I called again, then another clerk browsed their system and says they shipped via USPS, and it will take 5-7 days. What the ****. they said they were sorry and guaranteed they would use express, but didn't make it. **** you Gazelle.
Gazelle will close in next 3 years."
"I have sold two devices (an iphone and ipad) and had great experiences with both transactions. The amount they were willing to pay was above other competitors (including apple themselves). The shipping, inspection and payment process was fast and well communicated. I loved the amazon gift card option for a bonus! I was surprised to see how many negative feedbacks there are for Gazelle on this site. It appears to be a negative feedback loop because my experience was great! I will be using them to buy my old tech in the future and hope more people will try them as well. "
"supposed to give me 100$ for my phone. mailed it in and they adjusted offer to 45$ saying there were heavy scratches. THERE WERE NOT heavy scratches. and then shipped it back to me without the iphone box."
"Bought a refurbished iPhone XR that was supposed to be in excellent condition with zero flaws. After a month of having the phone the back camera and flash stopped working. Then a month later there was a random black line going down my screen which I got that fixed through the warranty company through gazelle and then a month after that the screen completely stopped working but phone was still on an active and gazelle said there was nothing they could do since its been over 30 days since the purchase of the phone. However, when I got the phone fixed they informed me it was hardware problems and the phone was no good which is how I received it. Gazelle did nothing about it except tell me I needed to go through warrantylife which also did nothing to solve the problem. Complete waste of money. DO NOT buy phones from this website unless you want to have constant issues with it."
"After reading the reviews I decided not to purchase a phone on this site"
"I "sold" Gazelle my Samsung Galaxy S8 in FLAWLESS condition. After they received it, they cut the offer by $31!?! The reason: when they got it they stated that the model number was different from an unlocked phone to an AT&T phone. I used it on AT&T but the model number was still on the original sticker on the back of the phone and clearly ended in U, not A. Other than that, when I was originally quoted the phone on their website, the difference was only a few dollars different, for AT&T v unlocked, before I realized the model number ended in U upon actually entering my info to begin the process. Although they didn't want it, I had the original box with ALL the original accessories and this phone wasn't so much as smudged when it left in the Gazelle return box. I even had the original screen sticker "DON'T TEXT AND DRIVE" that I put back on it before shipping. But once you receive a counter offer, they already have the phone, was $31 worth my time to find another buyer? So, yes, I accepted their counter offer, but this is NO way to do business. My model number WAS accurate and this phone was originally purchased from a Samsung store, not an AT&T store. "
"I wish I had read the reviews before I delt with this company. The did the same thing that they have done to everyone else. The offer a price the hold your phone hostage until you accept a lower price. If you done accept, they send a broken phone back to you. Stay away from this company."
"I attempted twice to resell my iPhone SE to Gazelle. Twice they told me that the phone was scrap. They were not honest at all. After I got the phone back from the second time, I sent the phone to Buy Back World and got $72 for the phone. Gazelle's offer, ZERO.
Here is the actual response from Gazelle
• Screen Doesn't Fully Light Up: We found that your LCD screen has some discoloration, defective spots or does not work properly.
• Scratches: We found that the device has more than the acceptable amount of scratches.
• Model Change: We discovered that the Cell Phone you sent in is actually a different model. Because different models have distinct values, this affects the offer we can make.
o You identified your gadget as an Apple iPhone SE 64GB (Unlocked), but it is actually an Apple iPhone SE 64GB (AT&T).

"I paid $491.46 for an iPhone 8 that worked for a whopping 2 1/2 months. I expected a little more maybe 6 months.
Don't buy from Gazelle. They don't give a ****!"
"Sent them old Galaxy S7 that had been taking up room in a drawer. I submitted the device in excellent condition (it had been in an OtterBox for all of its useful life) and when it was received, they knocked the offer down to $1, citing "numerous scratches all over the body." I asked for the device back, and upon receipt, took photos showing no scratches on the body. After that, I took it to a local reseller (who offered more than Gazelle did) and they mentioned that they haven't seen a phone in that great of a condition in a while. I would advise, as I am now, for everyone to stay *far* away from this company."
"I gave it a try. Upgraded my son’s ph and thought I would make him a little extra money and sell his Iphone 7. I took pics and the ph had no cracks when I sent it. Offer went from $160 to $12? Gazelle is saying because the ph screen was cracked and does not light up. I tested that phone myself and wrapped in in bubble wrap. This is just not an honest company! Choose another company to resell your phone! "

Please read about their recent bait and switch reviews before working with this company.
1) I sent in a PERFECT CONDITION device packed in SPECIAL cell phone packaging.
2) Item was received, and then I was notified that (my) sent device has both broken glass and scratches which it did not.
3) I e-mailed questioning IF this is MY device - and what happened.
4) I was e-mailed stating that if I do not decline, then I will be given $10 instead of $221 quoted.
5) I THEN clicked this button to avoid being paid $10 for my perfect device.
6) Now, I am told that they will NOT disclose what happened to my device - because I didn't accept $10 for my PERFECT condition device, and they are sending me back a broken device and I can go ahead and try and sell this now broken device again....
Unbelievable, please be aware.

"Sent them my iPhone 6s in perfect condition. It had been in a case with a screen protector it’s entire life. Not be single scratch anywhere. They quoted $102 which seemed fair. They sent me an email that stated they would only pay $51 due to scratches. WTF? No way. I opted to have them send it back. Upon receipt I discovered they had removed the SIM card. Why? It isn’t theirs to remove. Will be verifying the serial number with Apple tomorrow. Class action suit? One will no doubt coming at some point. "
