"I submitted a BRAND new phone, original plastic covers over the screen and it was perfect. I even included all the chargers and it had the sku number still on the back. They offered a good price. I packaged and shipped it in the original box from T-Mobile and added extra bubble wrap to the outer box. I get an email from gazelle saying this brand new phone has tons of scratches and lots of wear and tear so they are reducing their original offer. Sorry gazelle but this was a brand new phone with no wear and tear! They have no integrity to stand behind their original offer and back people into a corner to accept less. So my advice is if you get a quote from another website that is lower than gazelle, don’t expect gazelle will actually give you that price, just go with the other place. I would have liked to take my business to an honest company and gazelle is not."
"I was VERY hesitant to buy from Gazelle after reading so many negative reviews but I have nothing but praise for them. I bought 2 Samsung Galaxy Note 8's in "good" condition and they may as well have been in "excellent" condition because there wasn't a single scratch or ding on them. They both work perfectly and we were able to just throw our old sim cards in them and go. The only thing I wasn't 100% happy with was that one of the phones came in a ziplock bag within a padded box while the other one didn't have the bag, just the padding. When we opened the one that wasn't in a ziplock bag some moisture had gotten to it from it being so cold and rainy outside but it didn't seem to harm the phone. Overall I'd definitely recommend them to anyone looking to buy a like new phone at half the price of a new one. "

"I sold 2 differently iPhones recently at 2 separate times. I took pictures of the iPhones before sending them to gazelle. They were in perfect condition. When gazelle got the phones they reduced the payment amount stating their were scratches on the phones. When I informed them that I have pictures to dispute this they then stated that they will give me the original price for the phones. I then had problems cashing in of the checks they sent me. I will NEVER us Gazelle and will NOT RECOMMEND them to anyone. Stay far away!!!!"

"I wanted to sell my iPhone 6+. It was in PERFECT condition, it had always had a full case and screen protector so there was NO damage or marks whatsoever on it. When I started the process, I mistakenly picked 6s+ as the model - my fault. Had I read the web page more carefully, I would have seen the 6+ on the next line and taken the time to check which model mine was. That was not an issue. When they contacted me to adjust the price for the model, they also said that I misrepresented the condition and that it was scratched and NOT perfect. I knew better. Even going beyond their standards there was not a mark on the phone when I sent it and it was packaged properly. They offered me $105 instead of the $150 that was promised for the 6s+. I went back to their website and rechecked for the proper model and it was still shorted by a large amount. I declined their offer and they sent it back. It was indeed in perfect condition, just as when I sent it.
I instead sold it to Itsworthmore.com. They offered me $155 (yes for the 6+) and I shipped it to them and they inspected it and paid me promptly. They don't have an e-gift card option to get paid right away via email, they send you a check, but they did everything they promised and the check arrived today.
To Gazelle: your dishonesty cost you having me as a customer. I had both bought and sold several devices from you in the past but never again will I. I refuse to do business with cheats."

"While you may be able to sell your device at a higher price somewhere else, it takes effort and time. Gazelle is straight forward and quick to pay. "
"I have read lots of complaints about buying and selling devices with Gazelle. I have sold a few devices to them, never any issues at all. That being said, I have never bought from them and not sure I would. From my research, Gazelle does not refurbish devices in any way. They ensure them to not be blacklisted, clean them a little and make sure they are wiped of any personal data, beyond that you get the device in the same physical condition as they received it in.
Most of the bad reviews I see for sellers are regarding a reduced offer due to damage. I have never had this happen, but I have never sold them a device with even a scratch. Keep in mind if you tell them your device is perfect but there is a scratch across the back, even though you don't mind, someone else will.
Buyers, if you understand they do not refurbish devices, they simply are a market place for used, then you probably wont be disappointed. "

"I bought two iPhone 6S Plus phones from Gazelle. Both needed new batteries within 90 days. With many sellers of used iPhones, a new battery is part if their refurbished phones. Not so with Gazelle.
The worst part is when I sent them a request regarding this through their website, I never got a response. They could have replied and said “ we don’t do batteries”—— but instead I got NOTHING for a response. **** poor customer service.
