"Joybird always backs their products, better than anyone I've ever ordered anything from. They stand behind their work and will do whatever it takes to make the customer happy. I will always be a consistent customer here."
"The Holt Sectional arrived on time and looks amazing. Extremely comfortable and a perfect fit for the living room. From delivery to customer service, the experience could not have gone any better. "
"I patiently waited for 3 long months for my chair to arrive. The day finally came and it was so damaged we had to refuse delivery. On top of that, you have to wait for Joybird to actually answer the phone or call you back to even file the claim. It is a very long and tiring process to file the claim, Joybird to determine if the chair can be 'repaired' or I wait 3 months for a new one.
Priced at $1200, I would expect a finely crafted piece of furniture. Not a refurbished chair nor wait 6+ months for it to arrive. This was truly a disappointing experience and a complete waste of time. "
"Loved the swatch kit so we could match our kitchen benches.Great customer service. It looks like the employees are also happy which makes everyone's experience better.Great Job!"
"We ordered a $1,000 chair which took two months to arrive. When it finally came, it arrived with the wrong legs. Two bolts weren't long enough to screw in and there was an extra block-shaped leg (WTF). We called customer service but "all lines are busy" and it wouldn't let us leave a voicemail, so we emailed. FOUR DAYS later, after more attempts at calling and emailing, we get a condescending email telling us that "the back legs are shorter" and a "furniture medic" would come install them. We'd already taken a day off work for delivery, so we were not going to sit around for another day waiting for some rando to come by and confirm the bolts are too short to catch. (We're not *total* idiots, although we should've read these reviews before ordering.) Another five days pass and they finally admit they sent the wrong legs, and they're sending replacement legs....the email shows totally different legs that don't match the chair we ordered, and says they'll ship at the end of March, which is almost 2 months away. Meantime, we've got a chair sitting on the ground. Cool cool cool.
TL;DR Hate someone? Get them to order Joybird furniture. "
"I wasn't sure what color or style to order when choosing a couch. I spoke to a very informed customer service rep that asked the right questions and helped me determine my style. I received sample colors and textures in the mail to make my purchase making decision easier. After my couch arrived I received a very nice hand written note of thanks for purchasing my couch. I was surprised that a company would take time to hand write one of their thousands of customers that month a note of thanks. I will be buying my chairs from Joybird once I have enough money saved. Thank you!"
"We ordered a couch back in October that arrived in January covered in ballpoint pen marks. Apparently quality control doesn't mean much to this company. They sent out a technician who attempted to remove the the pen, but in the process bleached the leather cushions and was unable to match the color back. In the process, he got leather paint on the cushion that wasn't already damaged, and on our white rug. Not only was he unable to repair the couch, but he damaged it further resulting in needing to replace all of the cushions AND our white rug. Joybird graciously credited us $100 for our $300 rug, and said they would send out new cushions. The new cushions arrived today--both arrived damaged. I don't know what the next steps for us will be at this point, but this experience has been horrible and never again will we order from Joybird."
"I don't think I've ever had such a quality buying experience with any online seller ever. Love the furniture as well as the sustainable message. Just gave my swatch kit to my parents because they're also looking into some new furniture as well."
"Ordered a couch in November 2018. Receive the piece end of January 2019. By June the leather couch is totally degrading. I take pics and email them to Joybird. They offer to replace the couch for free, stating the leather they had received was not up to standards. I select a new couch and was told when the replacement couch comes, they will take the old couch. Day before delivery Joybird calls me to say they won’t be picking up the new couch - I should donate it or throw it away. New couch was supposed to be delivered last Tuesday...still waiting. Guess it’s a good thing I didn’t get rid of the old one? "
"I could not have been more delighted with every single step of the Joybird process, from the seamless and ease to use website, which includes tons of actual photos of the piece you're interested in displayed in customer's homes. This is such a helpful and appreciated ancillary feature, as anybody could make furniture appear attractive and comfortable when set in a showcase under glamour shot lighting. The updates on the sofa builds helps the time pass by and gets you excited for this new piece of comfortable art soon to arrive. It seemed like a long estimated time to build and deliver, but it arrived nearly 2 weeks ahead of schedule, and the delivery crew was early and help assemble everything. The only down side to this sofa... life and work become a bit harder to do successfully for that first week, as you become engulfed in the clouds of soft, but just firm enough, pillows, each time you change position or direction you find an even MORE comfortable way to lay or sit. I have posted some photos on their facebook with this review, as even thousands of typo-riddled (non proof read) tangential words could give you the feeling that I get every time I come home now and see the sun glow thru the windows, illuminating the best purchase I have ever made for any home to date. "The foam in the cushions is not a great quality and doesn't hold its shape well. You cant flip the cushions over to try and adjust because they are not covered on the bottom. Would not shop with them again"
"Easy to order, delivery was great, furniture is perfect. Customer service was terrific. "
"I was very hesitant to buy a new couch, especially after my $500 IKEA couch last me almost 6 years. I heard great things about Joybird, so my partner and I visited the brick and mortar in Brooklyn and fell in love with one of the styles. We have a cat but weren't completely pleased with the pet-friendly fabrics. We ended up purchasing the Preston Reversible Sectional in Antonio Cedar. It fits perfectly in our Brooklyn apartment, and it is very beautiful. The frame does move slightly when someone sits on it, but that may just be a flaw from the delivery people who set it up. The fabric does scratch easily, but that's only our fault for purchasing a non-pet friendly fabric. We keep blankets on it while we are away because our cat does LOVE it. All of that to say, we are overall very pleased with the couch. It is comfortable and so stylish. Hopefully it will last for many years to come."
"I have had my yellow velvet Holloway sofa for two years, and get SO many compliments on it! It's comfortable, and stylish, and a reasonable price point. Just what I needed!"
"I have the Briar sleeper sofa in Royale Evergreen and it is my favorite thing in my apartment. The couch itself is incredibly comfortable and I sometimes enjoy sleeping on its soft velvet cushions over sleeping in my bed. I have hosted at least ten different guests on the pull-out bed and all of them reported a comfortable, supportive good night's rest on the bed. In addition to its comfort the style pulls my room together and I love it as a statement piece. I also appreciate Joybird's flexibility with my order - I originally ordered a different couch but got my measurements of my doorway wrong and it would not fit (not without damaging my apartment). Thankfully the delivery men were able to take it back and the return process for it was smooth and simple. Within a month I had my Briar sofa (that I knew would fit in my doorway after readjusting my measurements) ordered and delivered soon thereafter! "
"We purchased the Bryant 6 piece sectional and 3 sets of throw pillows from Joybird in July 2019. We anxiously waited for delivery and received the couch about a month or so later. Upon delivery, we noticed that one one of the pieces, the fabric was sewn in the wrong direction (it was oriented horizontally while the rest of the couch was oriented vertically). The pieces of the sectional wouldn’t connect to each other (despite the company’s claims that they do extensive QC). The couch also did not line up and the back of some pieces were up to an inch higher/lower than others and stuck out from the other pieces as well. There were tears underneath the pieces. We called to complain on Day 1 and I spoke with (I believe) Michelle who was horribly rude and condescending.
After calling back the next day and providing ample documentation of the issues, they eventually arranged for a furniture repair tech to fix the clasps and the tears. After another month or so, we received a new corner piece and unbelievably, the fabric was still sewn in the wrong direction and the piece say about an inch higher than the rest of the couch. Michelle tried to state that they were unable to sew the fabric in the correct orientation but we were quickly able to disprove her statement. We finally asked to speak with another rep and asked to not deal with Michelle in the future.
The new rep was very helpful and assured us that they would make us a new couch and babysit it through the whole process so there wouldn’t be any issues. About a month later (mind you, this is now the 4th day I’ve had to stay home and wait for a repair or delivery/pick up, not including 2 days where the delivery company no-showed), the new couch came. There were loose threads everywhere, the corner piece was still in the wrong orientation, and the couch didn’t line up, despite being made at the same time. We provided more photos and Michelle emailed us back and offered us a $800 credit (absolutely laughable at this point). We again stated we did not want to communicate with her and the new rep came back and offered $1000 off. We paid $6000 and we had a couch that looked like it belonged at an outlet store. That was nowhere near good enough (we felt 50% would have been extremely fair considering how much time I needed to waste sitting at home, plus the inconvenience of this ordeal). They offered to make us another couch and we declined. It was now January 2020 and we’d wasted half a year with this company. We ended up returning the couch (so another day I spent waiting at home) and they did give us a full refund, to their credit. We ended up ordering a wonderful couch from Arhaus (one that is actually down, not the poly-fil that Joybird calls down alternative) and we picked up a sectional from the Pottery Barn Outlet store to use while we wait. We paid about a third of the price for the PB interim sectional and it is considerably more comfortable and better all around. I wouldn’t recommend Joybird to my worst enemy after our experience. "
