"The order process was easy but everything else is a hassle.
We were supposed to receive our sofa and ottoman mid July. At the end of the delivery with no communication I reached out to support and after several days of waiting and 2 different support groups I was told it was delayed but should be shipped in a couple weeks.
I reached out in a couple of weeks and found out the sofa was ready but not the ottoman. I asked to have them shipped separately and they said yes but did not ship them separately.
I reached out again about 2 weeks later and got no reply. I tried calling and it hung up on me, would not even let me leave a voicemail. I then emailed asking to speak to a manager and I got no reply.
Eventually my couch and ottoman were delivered 2 months late. As this is covid times the delivery left the couch in our driveway and left us to assemble it.
When I attempted to assemble it the ottoman went together fine. The sofa came with 4 conical legs and 1 square leg. There is no hole to screw the square leg into and no instructions of where it should go.
The base for the Chaise section is where it really goes wrong, I cannot install any of the legs. Each leg is supposed to have two holes for each leg (a peg hole and a screw hole). The peg hole is missing on two of the 4 legs. On the other two legs the moulding on the bottom is too close to the holes so there is not enough space to put in the legs.
I attempted to both call (left voicemail) and text Joybird today with no response to my issues. I now have a couch that I cannot use.
Bottom line customer service is terrible and their QA process is a joke.

"Do Not Buy Furniture from JoyBird. I purchased an Eliot sectional 3 years ago. Almost immediately, I noticed the fabric starting to pill. Then, appx a year in, the tufted buttons started popping off. I contacted JoyBird and found out my sofa is still under warranty. Great! They emailed that a service tech would contact me within 10 days. That was 4 weeks ago. No one has contacted me and now JoyBird is not responding to my emails. For such an expensive sofa, it is not only incredibly poor quality (it's so light, you can't lead against it), but also their customer service is terrible. Buyer Beware."
"We ordered a very expensive sofa set six months ago. It took a number of months to get here, and part of the sofa was built so badly that it rocked back and forth when you sat on it. They ordered a replacement which again took forever to get here. The whole time they left the remainder of the couch pieces unattached, which meant that the pieces would move around on their own when you sat on them. When the replacement piece finally arrived, the installers would not attach the couch pieces together. Instead, they said that I had to call customer service to get this done. I called more than a month and a half ago, but they still haven't taken care of it. I try calling customer service and they just apologize and promise that someone will get back to me. HORRIBLE!!!!!

"If you are considering ordering from Joybird, DON'T! We ordered a desk on July 4th. It arrived damaged on August 11th. We refused to accept the shipment at the recommendation of the freight company. I have called and emailed Joybird numerous times and have yet to receive a desk or a refund... I'm now initiating the process of disputing the transaction with my credit card company. AVOID JOYBIRD!!! "
"My wife and I absolutely love the Preston sofa we got for our apartment. Given that we do not have a lot of space it was perfect with the chaise lounge so we could avoid getting two sofas. What made it even better though was the fabric. Incredibly tough after these years, even when put up against the dogs.
The sofa it self was of incredible quality. I was surprised how sturdy and heavy it was when moving it to put in rugs or vacuum. Their white glove delivery was incredible too. They showed up, asked where to go, and completely installed it. They even hauled away the trash and cleaned up the floors! We plan on buying the rest of our furniture from Joybird and cannot wait to put a pull out sofa in our guest room. 5 stars all around."
"We just found out that our order, which was supposed to be delivered last week, will not be arriving for another 6 weeks. We placed out order the first week in June; we were supposed to receive it the second week in August. Now they are saying it won't be here until the end of September at the earliest. Also aggravating-- when we confirmed our fabric choice, we were surprised with a sizable up-charge. Customer service has been terrible. We have contacted them many times with no resolution or even a response from them. First, it was because they failed to process the payment for the up-charge for the fabric. Then it was impossible to get an answer as to when we should plan for the furniture to be delivered. We were so excited.... now just frustrated and disappointed."
"We finalized our order for a new bed back on May 25th, our first attempt at buying furniture online. We received delivery on Tuesday August 11th just over 10 weeks from the time we ordered the bed. It took a bit longer to receive the delivery but that is understandable in today's climate. The two men that delivered the bed were not wearing any sort of mask or personal protection covering which I was surprised and not too happy with. They were supposed to install the bed but non of the hardware was included in the packaging. The delivery crew then told me there was nothing they can do and that I needed to call customer care to get it resolved. They had already unpacked the pieces to the bed and left them all over my master bedroom. No offer to stack them out of the way so we could put our mattress back down so it was left for my wife and I to move the bed pieces out of the way.
I emailed and called and left a message that same Tuesday. I did receive a call back and they left me a message later that day but I did not see the call come in until the next day. I have tried calling into their customer service department over a dozen times at different times throughout the day and I always get a recorded message saying they are dealing with higher than normal call volumes. The email I has sent in promised a response within 24-48 hours. I did get an email late on Friday, a full 3 days after my request to speak to customer service. The only thing in the email that they sent me was an order for replacement parts. There was no note from anyone, no apology, or no attempt at making customer contact. All to said was please send replacement hardware.
It is now 5 days since I received that email and no kind of follow up from the company. There has been zero communication from them on trying to resolve this issue. I have no idea how long this is supposed to take to get the hardware or to have is installed.
I can overlook the delay in the initial delivery. I understand that sometimes things don't get packaged properly and items may get inadvertently omitted. What I cannot accept is the utter lack of customer service or follow up. This has been a huge hassle of an experience, and every time I walk into my bedroom to see my mattress on the floor and our new bed laying in pieces, it upsets me even more. Mistakes happen app the time. It's how one reacts to those mistakes that makes all the difference. Joybird's indifference to their customers concerns is very disappointing. If the quality of a companies customer service is important to you, cross Joybird off of your list. "
"I purchased a sleeper sectional from Joybird in 2018 and it is absolutely an heirloom piece. It has held up to the wear and tear of two cats and a move. Their customer service has been nothing but excellent. It feels extra great to buy furniture made in the USA. My next piece of furniture will be from Joybird."

"I purchased the Korver Loveseat after an intensive search for a sofa that wasn't outrageously priced but would be sturdy enough to last as an investment piece. I went with the loveseat because it seemed perfectly sized for an apartment, and I could not have been more pleased. It sits 3 across easily, is firm but comfortable, and has held up beautifully over the years. It is just gorgeous and makes the room feel complete. "

"Honestly, I have been searching for the right new couch for a couple of years, wanting to ensure I made the best investment to fit my home and needs. My needs in order of importance were: that the materials would be non-toxic, sustainably sourced and high quality, that the couch would be functional, esp. for large family gatherings where tall or heavy family members and friends would be comfortable, that I wouldn't have to sacrifice on style to suit my mid-century modern home, that there would be a multiple-year warranty and that the price would fit the budget.
