"Joybird's website says that if an item is available for "quick ship" it will "ship in 3 days." This is dishonest, unless you are lucky. This truth is-- IF your item happens to be ready to be shipped out at the same time an entire truck (or whatever) is ready to be "full" from their distribution center in Mexico, THEN it will presumably be "quick-shipped." Otherwise, you end up waiting an indefinite amount of time. After making a couple calls to customer service, the first person told me that the couch would indeed be shipped on the 3rd day, not to worry. When that clearly didn't happen and I called back again, the second person told me that in fact, my couch is sitting in a warehouse waiting for the truck to fill up, with the ship date as yet undetermined. It may or may not ship next week. She said she would follow up and let me know a more precise ship date when she could, probably next week.
When I expressed exasperation about the dishonest communication on the website (since I needed the couch quickly, and that is the reason I ordered from Joybird to begin with, trusting that they wouldn't blatantly lie on their website) she proceeded to defend the company and tell me how "unfortunate" it was they they didn't get more positive reviews from the people who happen to get their items on time -- by sheer luck. I had to explain to her that what was *actually* unfortunate is that the company chooses to blatantly lie about ship times to customers, when "quick ship" is in no way guaranteed. Very disappointing. I'm holding out hope that my couch arrives on time but it probably won't, and I probably won't ever order from this company again. "

"We ordered four different pieces to be built and they are all amazing but one arrived damaged. I contacted Joybird and they immediately sent a letter back to detail how they were going to fix it and it was the nicest letter I’ve ever seen from customer service in my life! The irony is the other furniture that showed up was perfection but it was the oops and recovery from the table that is what made me a loyal customer for life because tons of companies can get the first part right but when you mess up as a company - it’s how you recover that really tells everything about how you feel about your customers. Joybird has earned a lifetime repeat customer in our family!! "

"We spent quite a bit of time deciding on a new sofa for our living room and couldn't be more satisfied with our choice (the Bryant Sofa).
In terms of comfort and cost, I'm not sure you'd be able to find anything comparable. The quality is on par with similar sofas we looked at from high-end brands. It's incredibly "cloud" like--perfect for weekend lounging--and it's rare that we're able to stay awake on it.
Joybird customers service is every bit as responsive as they claim to be. We loved the "build updates," they provided in the lead up to delivery, and they quickly answered a few minor questions we had re: materials and shipping.

"I’ve really enjoyed the quality of the products I’ve revived. From the sturdy fabric, firm cushions, to beautifully crafted pieces of furniture. On top of that, the buying process is a breeze, and customer service has been second to none (extremely responsive to a small issue, the team went above and beyond to reciting). My only complaint is that the estimated delivery date only accounts for getting items to your local area, doesn’t factor in that a “final mile” logistics company then has to schedule another delivery date at their earliest convenience. In my case, joybird estimated delivery around 12/09, but I didn’t take receipt until 34 days later. But, expertly delivered and assembled. "

"I ordered the roller loveseat, dakota entry table, hughes table top ottoman, and the soto concave armchair. They just arrived this week, and I'm so happy with the style and quality. One note: the soto concave armchair is pretty small - a low back and not very deep seat, so I'm going to return that and get a different chair. My customer service experience has been great so far - a stylist helped us pick items and colors, and when I called about the return, the person was very helpful. "

"I bought a loveseat (sleeper), apartment chair, and ottoman all in a matching, tweedy blue/green fabric. Everything matches. Seat on loveseat is firm, but some in my family prefer that. Some threads needed trimming on all the pieces (why would someone leave these????) but that is minor. It took me a couple of weeks to pick my fabric, but once I had that, the order took under two months to arrive. I'm very happy!"
