"The furniture is amazing and I’ve recommended it to multiple people. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of five was because my order took much longer than described on the site and the shipping is a real pain. But, now that the furniture is in my house I could not be happier. "

I Expected Better

"I was initially very excited about my Joybird sofa, I received my fabric samples on time and everything went smoothly with ordering which I did back in September. My sofa was slated to arrive sometime in mid October which worked out fine since I was moving. Once I got my notification that my sofa was on the way, I was very excited and looked forward to completing my living room.

That's when everything went awry - the loveseat portion was fine but the chaise for the sectional arrived without a hole drilled for one of the legs in one area and two holes drilled for the other legs. The delivery people recommended that I accept the sofa so that I could at least use the loveseat portion and then contact Joybird to see if a technician could come drill a hole for the one leg that did not have one. It took roughly 4 business days for Joybird to get back to me to tell me that they can't just drill the leg hole but that I'd need a whole new chaise which would arrive in early December.

I didn't end up getting a notification that the chaise had shipped until mid-December with a potential delivery happening around Christmas. I tried to schedule the delivery and return just now only to find out that Joybird sent delivery/return instructions to the final delivery team of delivering one single arm chaise but picking up the entire sofa! Why would I return an entire sofa yet only have a single-arm chaise? So now, the delivery will take even longer to schedule since the delivery team has to contact Joybird to correct the order meaning that I will likely not get my chaise until January which means from ordering the sofa in mid-September, it will have taken 4 months to get a couch that I paid $2200 for.

I should have just found a handyman who could have come and drilled a hole for the leg peg and stapled the fabric back. It might have voided the warranty or whatever but at least I would have had a full sofa back in October that finally doesn't smell like chemicals. Instead I have to wait for Joybird to sort everything out with the delivery company so that I can get a chaise delivered that hopefully has all the holes drilled for the legs and then wait for another month for the chemical smell to dissipate so I can actually sit on it and not get a headache. Other people clearly have had a better experience but based on all of this, I will never order from Joybird again even though I had hoped to get a chair that matches my sofa.

"We received our Eliot chair just in time for Christmas and we couldn't be more pleased! The Bentley Indigo fabric is beautiful and so soft! The chair is very comfy and is large enough for my teenage daughter and I to sit in together. We have decided to order the matching ottoman soon! "

Beautiful Furniture!

"We have ordered several times from Joybird and absolutely love the furniture.
We have the Hughes Sofa and Chair/Ottoman, the Soto Concave Armchair with Ottoman, the Owen Chair with Calhoun Ottoman and multiple decorative pillows.

The only reason I don't give them a five star rating is the time that it takes to receive your furniture. Be prepared for it to take a while.

If you have time to wait, I highly recommend the furniture. It's not just furniture, but pieces of art that you'll receive.

Failure to Timely Deliver as Promised

"We ordered furniture in late October (and paid for it in full) and was advised that we would have it within 6 weeks. We told the salesperson we wanted it for the Christmas Holidays as we are hosting family. Well . . . six weeks have come and gone. We received a notification that our furniture had arrived at the Distribution Center and that it would be scanned and delivered to us within 1-3 business days a few days ago. Well . . . those 1-3 business days have also come and gone - without further notification from Joybird, as to the delivery status of our furniture. I called today and was advised that the furniture had not in fact arrived, but that the notice we received was of the "estimated arrival," notwithstanding that the notification unequivocally said the furniture had "arrived" - there was no mention of an estimated arrival. I was then informed that the furniture "may" be at the Distribution Center by the end of the week. Given these delays and the extreme lack of guidance from Joybird in letting me know when I would get my fully paid for furniture with certainty, I would not recommend this company.

Still love my sofa, three years later!

"I ordered a custom-size/color Chesterfield sofa from Joybird in 2015. It has held up SO well under heavy use (children and pets) and we get so many compliments on it! This company is very nice to work with (they sent me free pillows at one point!) and doing super cool stuff. Support!"
