Starting with the actual furniture -- you can tell it is handmade with a lot of care. My Hughes sofa and chair are incredibly sturdy and well-made. I've had both pieces for about 4 months now and they are holding their shape really well. With poorly made furniture you start to see sagging pretty quickly. The foam they use for the cushions is dense but still soft and I love it!
Regarding the ordering process and service, the staff has been responsive, friendly and helpful throughout the process. I had a few questions on the various fabric options and also called about the delivery timeframe and they were so great to deal with. I found the web site to be really user-friendly as well. The actual colors on my furniture are really similar to the swatches online so there were no surprises. Any info you could possibly want is available on their site.

"We bought our Eliot Sofa last year and it is by far the best couch we ever had. We love the fabric and style and they make the purchasing so easy. I loved receiving the fabric swatches and picking our favorite and then ordering our dream sofa. I just called to ask about purchasing a new cushion, which is getting worn not by our everyday use but we just got a puppy. We want to have an extra just in case and they even make purchasing the replacement cushion as easy as can be.
When we are ready for our next couch, I will definitely be purchasing another Joybird!"

"I ordered 2 rooms of furniture through Joybird. The ship time per their website for all items was 3 weeks. I ordered it September 1 through a designer. It did not ship until end of October (8 weeks later). It arrived at the trucking company 11/11. The trucking company misplaced it. It is now November 27. I still do not have my furniture. It was suppose to be delivered yesterday. When it didn’t arrive within the time I was told I called the company. Due to 3 inches of snow the delivery for that day was cancelled. Nobody bothered to call us. Supposedly it will be delivered today. I spoke with Patrick at Joybird about 3 times throughout this nightmare. He was of no help and rude. He did promise me compensation since it is now almost 3 months. When I asked him on phone call #3 about compensation he told me to speak to my designer. Not sure how this is her problem. Would NEVER use this company again. Still wondering if I will be compensated - Joybird?????????"

"We have had our Hughes Sectional for almost 3 years now and it has gone through 2 moves and 2 kitties who love to scratch. The couch has held up and still looks brand new. "I cannot thank Joybird enough for the amazing sofa. Originally I sought to find a sofa that was made sustainably, and in the USA, of real quality fabrics and wood. I love the contemporary style, and ALL of the choices of sofas Joybird offers. I was first impressed because they offer to send you samples of all of their fabrics. I received a cute box of at least a hundred fabric swatches. It is so important when buying furniture to be able to touch the fabric. After ordering the couch, and choosing all of the final details we were given a shipment date. It ended up working out perfectly with our move. The couch was exactly what we had hoped. It has nice structure, but is very comfortable, and looks great! After having our couch for about 6 months, my baby started pulling the buttons off somehow. (he's a beast, lol) I emailed my concerns and eventually they replaced my sofa with a different style, with no buttons. I received the same great service, and swift delivery. I LOVE our couch! We get many compliments on it. The fabric is easily washable (the cushions have zippers and can be machine washed). It is super comfortable, and very chic looking. More than anything I am continually blown away with the customer service. I have had issues in the past with a big brand local company backing up the quality of their furniture, so it is SO refreshing to find a modern company that still cares about their customers. And they're real people. You can actually call and talk to some one. And they are super nice. And helpful. I can't wait until I can afford some complimentary chairs for our living room! I recommend JOYBIRD 100% to everyone. Other companies should really take notice of how customer service SHOULD be. "
