It was fine

"I should be able to cancel or make adjustments to my order online within the allotted 24 hour period Joybird gives for cancellation without having to reach out to customer service. Also, customer service via chat is nonexistent since the chatbot canceled/ended the chat once I clicked through the options requesting live help. Text was inconsistent and I wasn't sure if there was a wait or what was going on after answering the prompts. Overall, not impressed and hopefully the couch will be better than the website and customer service."

Second Damaged Couch Arrived

"Our first couch arrived damaged. Joybird offered to have us keep the damaged couch with a $43 reimbursement - which seems like a joke for such an expensive item or have a new one shipped. So we had a new one shipped. Then the second one arrived, also damaged in the exact same place - so clearly this is a systemic issue. So now we're waiting for yet another couch to arrive. Months later, let's cross fingers for a good condition expensive couch"

So far, terrible.

"Log in for my account to check order status is impossible. I’ve had to reset my password 3 times and still can't get access.
Delivery for 2 chairs is the same flat rate as a sofa -$129 - which is just absurd. This is for white glove delivery, for interior furniture that requires assembly. I ordered two outdoor chairs. Customer service told me they could adjust the delivery to be left outside but the price would not change. Seriously absurd when front door delivery is supposed to be $49.
Hoping the chairs are at least worth the pain and not uncomfortable or poorly made. Also hoping they arrive before summer ends since for some reason it takes Joybird a month to ship items that are in stock…

"The website is a bit too hyper in its attempts to be helpful with suggestions, but overall, it’s a well designed site with much faster response to my questions than I expected. I ordered this sofa because my daughter has one, and I was so impressed with it."

Incompetent Help Desk Staff

"Ordered a media stand 4 weeks ago and it has been in "on its way to our delivery partner" status for over 2 weeks. Claim its shipped and arrived at a facility but never checked in. No one from Joybird can confirm or identify the truck it was on, the location for the facility delivery, or when it will magically appear in my home. To spend the amount of money you do for this service is absurd. It appears they ship the item and say "good luck" because they don't track their items other than being told, "well it left our warehouse so it should be getting there soon..." The other lovely comment I was provided that once it does find its way to the partner facility, they then have to coordinate deliver which could be another couple of weeks. So, I will mostly likely cancel my order and find a more reliable company. "

Deceptive Advertising and Poor Quality

"Based on the product description of the Braxton sleeper sofa, I placed an order to take advantage of the sale showing a 7 hour countdown to take advantage of the sale price, only to find that the offer actually continued on for many more days with a similar countdown feature. My confirmation email was sent a few hours after placing the order and had no indication of a 24 cancellation policy. I went to the local showroom a few days later and found that the product I ordered did not at all match the description of being easy to use or comfortable in the sleep mode. I was also concerned that it might not actually fit through our doorways and halls. In trying to cancel the order 3 days after placing the order Joybird refused to refund me at 100% and said they have a 24 hours cancellation policy which was not shown on the printed Joybird mailer I received and was not on my order confirmation and invoice. It also wasn’t obvious or noticeable in other parts of the site. Joybird is only refunding me 65% of my charges; they are keeping over $800 and I get nothing. Had I known the policy I would have reprioritized my schedule and gone to the store to insure the product lived up to how they represent it. While Joybird makes some cool looking furniture I’d recommend checking it out in person first to be sure it meets the quality and comfort you’re looking for. Their customer service held fast to their policy and after escalating to a manager it took two days for them to get back to me only to hold fast to the policy. I did finally find the cancellation policy on the website after doing a more extensive search, but as I said this wasn’t clear in any of the printed advertisements or document provided after placing the order. Instead what I saw was a Buy Now/Decide Later to lock in the deal and a 90 day return prominently featured giving me confidence to place the order before seeing the product, again not realizing the cancellation timing.

Buyer Beware is a good self protection policy. I let my guard down and I feel robbed.
