False lead times, awful customer service

"I placed an order based on a specific delivery window prior to arrival of houseguests. I received a confirmation email 2 days later with a new delivery window that was 10-14 days past the original dates. I contacted support immediately and was told they couldn’t expedite nor cancel my order. This was a bait and switch. I never would’ve ordered this sofa if the lead teams didn’t meet my needs. I filed a complaint with the BBB but Joybord doesn’t care. With service like this, Joybird will not remain in business. Caveat Emptor."

This was an easy choice

"I found my perfect sleeper sofa (Briar Sleeper) on their website and went into the store just to confirm it was awesome (it was). Lily and her co-worker were super friendly and personable, and offered suggestions for exploring the surrounding neighborhood.

Re; delivery, it was a shining example of underpromising and overdelivering. At the risk of me buying a quickly-promised couch elsewhere, they told me upfront it could take a couple of months to deliver. But then I got a notification that it was arriving just one week from my purchase date. And then the delivery van showed up early.

So I was pleasantly surprised all around.

Overstuffed… not!

"This couch is beautiful and had a lot of good reviews so for the first time I took a risk and ordered online a major piece of furniture. It has almost no stuffing I can feel the frame when I sit on it. Can only imagine how quickly it will smash to nothing. And 50% refund policy… ouch, expensive lesson learned! "

Not happy

"I was not completely satisfied with the fabric and inquired about a return. I was told I would only receive a small percentage of the cost back for my return. I expected to have to cover shipping but to only receive a small amount back was not even worth returning it. I guess that’s what they want even though they state “easy returns”. It may be easy, but it will cost you!!"

"The end of season sale has amazing discounts. However, there seems to be some IT issues because when you add pillows to your order it raises the price of everything in your cart. So then you have to buy the pillows separately charging an additional shipping and handling fee which I was told could not be waived. There was also a rug we wanted but the system kept giving us an error message and we could not add the rug. The system error was fixed but we could not add the rug to the order we already placed and instead we would need to pay an additional shipping fee. "
