"So full disclosure: I haven't received, tried, or slept on this mattress yet. HOWEVER ... I have to say that from the minute I entered the website, I was treated like a king (get it?). Who would have thought?
The person I chatted with responded in like 5 seconds AND knew how to craft a sentence! Who would have thought?
As someone who purchased an iComfort mattress in, let's call it a previous life, I knew one thing: I love memory foam and I hate how hot it gets. Normally, you pay MORE for gel, not less, but overall, this mattress is about $1,000 less than the iComfort. Who would have thought?
Finally, I love the disruptive business model. Mattress companies are worse than car manufacturers with the intentional muddying of the waters to prevent apples-to-apples comparisons of their products from store to store. Well, guess what? Push that concept too hard and it backfires. If you're proud of your product, there's no need to play the shell game. People will buy it. In fact, I'm so impressed with the transparency, customer service, and business model that I purchased a mattress, sight unseen, from a website without even trying it out--and I'm not the least bit concerned about what to do if I don't end up liking it, which I'm almost certain I will.

"Ordered a queen size bed and foundation had someone waiting for the delivery. They came and said it won't fit into my frame and left. Making things worse the delivery company said I refused delivery. The customer service person I talked to said that was the normal procedure since I paid for setup. So as you can guess I then cancelled the order and will deal with a more reputable company. All the had to do was drop the new and take away the old. I know this seems easy but the real question is why are you making it so hard. Do what the customer wants before you lose more paying customers like me."

"Our daughter had been sleeping on a full sized mattress that was over 20 years old - maybe 30 or 40 years old. We finally started shopping for mattresses at the local mattress stores. She is an athlete and often complains of her hips and knees hurting. She even tried the "sleep technology" to determine which bed was right for her. However, I became frustrated with high prices or bad reviews! So I started looking online and found Loom & Leaf.
I researched for two weeks, but kept coming back to Loom & Leaf because of the description, the ease of shopping and most of all the fabulous customer reviews. Oh - and did I mention the price? Very affordable! So we ordered the bed, the only decision was the firmness of the mattress. Because our daughter is tall, we purchased the queen-sized "relaxed firm" mattress, with the 8& 3/4" foundation and queen bed frame. Shipping was estimated 7-14 days and it was delivered right on day 14. The delivery team was very professional, quick and efficient - they were finished in 15 minutes. They explained everything about the bed, the warranty and even took a picture to show the bed had been delivered.
My daughter was SO EXCITED!! When she got home from school, she wanted to put the sheets on it herself. The bed is beautiful!! Too bad you have to cover it up with sheets and a bedspread. But it is SOOOOO comfortable. She has only slept on it one night, but when she woke up this morning she said " This is the first time I can remember that I did not wake up with a crick in my neck!"
My husband and I have one of those 5 thousand dollar posturepedic mattresses and we both toss and turn all night trying to get comfortable, hips hurt, shoulders hurt, back hurts,...and I wake up sweating almost every night. The L&L mattress has the cool gel in the mattress so hopefully my daughter wont have that problem. She is a little heater.
I hope she lets us try her mattress, but so far she is very possessive and wont let me near it.
But when she's not home..........
So far we are very happy but the only experience I have with customer service so far is Loom & Leaf called to verify our order before it shipped, unless you count the many questions I threw at them over chat while deciding to purchase. Great experience, very pleasant and informative.
So far I highly recommend this bed. You cant beat the return policy if it turns out it is not the right bed for you. Oh- and some of the reviews I read talk about an odor or out-gassing in new mattresses - not this mattress.
