I was put on hold for more than 20 minutes; however when I finally spoke to a customer service agent my issue was resolved very quickly.
I explained my situation and the agent credited the rebate amount to the card on which I made the purchase, no questions asked.

"Been using newegg since 2004 and even though my intial experiences were great, years later around 2010 their customer service had taken a nose dive. I stopped using newegg for around 4 years, using competing vendors instead. Out of convenience I started using newegg again and only until recently did I have a somewhat better experience with customer service but that was only after they screwed up my financing by splitting up my order and costing me hundreds of dollars in interest and payments. "I was mistakenly on the business website trying to buy a laptop for personal use. I didn't realize it until I called customer service to find out if the product was available before going through the purchasing process. However, Daniel, an exceptional customer service rep, guided me to the appropriate website, determined the item number I wanted to buy and helped me enter it in order to purchase it. The order number was long, with letters, which I misheard a couple of times. Daniel never wavered from his respectful corrections. He was very patient and very kind. He told me that the product was available from another seller for a few dollars less but there was no way I was taking my business elsewhere. As a way of saying thank you, he offered to reimburse me for the 2 day shipping I requested. AND he called me back to make certain that I had been able to place the order, AND he sent me an email when it appeared there was technical problem and I wasn't sure the order had been submitted. "So I realized I had made a mistake with the shipping address for my items I purhcased and they were actually getting shipped to my old address from two months ago. I was worried it would be too late for me to change the address so I called Newegg customer service and on the other line was Darrel.F.Hernandez. He provided to me some of the BEST customer service I have ever had. He fully understood the situation at hand and did everything within his power to assist me in resolving the issue. He successfully was able to remedy the issue, submitted a request for my items to be held at the Fedex location near my new address for me to go pick up which was awesome! He further assisted me with a new order I submitted as well to make sure that was going to the right place in a timely manner. Overall experience was an A++! Darrel was very patient and informative during the entire session and he definitely deserves some recognition and props!
