I reached out to Newegg customer service and was told that a ticket number had been issue and I would hear back in 2-5 business days. After business day #6 I still had not heard anything from Newegg... I called Newegg Customer Service and got Dee.D.Benavidez on the line. Dee took a situation that almost lost Newegg a customer and made me a potential customer for life. She went far and away beyond what my expectations for customer service had previously been. "New egg went above and beyond what they were responsible for. I have used them for a long time and will continue to do so. I purchased a server and was fully aware of their return policy on this particular item as non refundable and non returnable and is a factory only returnable item. I got my item in, and it was my fault for not catching a server dimension that was to big for my rack. i called the factory and explained what we could do about getting the proper one. The factory explained since I got it through one of their re-sellers, I would need to contact them. I pressed the issue to the factory rep that Newegg was clear they do not allow returns on the item and I wouldn't be able to do that. That is where it ended. I tried Newegg and explained and asked if there was a different department they knew of at the factory that I could try. The service rep looked up my order and agreed it was non returnable, but then said... But hang on a sec' and let me see if there is anything I can do. He could. He went to bat for me to help with the factory getting the right item. they didn't need to because at purchase time i fully agreed it wasn't Newegg's responsibility, yet they still went out of their way. They are always prompt and courteous when you need to reach out to customer service/support. This latest shipment, I totally screwed up - but Everette G. came to my rescue. "I am in the process of building a new system. Typically, I would have shopped at Amazon, but after receiving a couple sensitive components in bags, I sent them back to Amazon and did my purchasing with Newegg. When I received my components from Newegg, they were in boxes with plenty of packing material to prevent them from being thrown around inside the box. My items were actually packed right unlike other places where they would just be thrown into a box with no packing or thrown into a bag where they could be crushed during shipment. I was very impressed. Newegg has price match guarantee on some of the items they sell, and they honor it. Both times I spoke with a representative, the first time was with RJ R. and the second time was with Brian I. Both representatives were very courteous and professional. They did not copy and paste scripts in their responses. They actually asked how they could help me and did it. You could tell you were communicating with another person and being heard. I couldn't be any happier with how they treated me as a customer. Both gentlemen did an amazing job in providing support, and I thank them both for making me feel like a valued customer. This may be the first time I have purchased from Newegg, but it will definitely not be my last!"
