"So to begin I had the ASUS Maximus X Hero Wi-Fi motherboard die on me 44 days after I bought it off of Newegg. Initially I went about contacting Asus since I was past the 30 day return policy from Newegg. After being transferred and escalated numerous times, told different things by each rep, finally the resolution Asus came up with was “We do not have your motherboard in stock in our service center. We can put in your RMA request and whenever we get stock we can fulfill the request.”
I hope I’m not the only one who thinks that they were insane for telling me I had to wait an indeterminate amount of time due to a defect on their end. I suggested going to the next model up and paying the difference so I can be back up and running, but apparently that was asking way too much. No matter how many suggestions I made they wouldn’t budge and were insistent on me waiting until stock arrived. I was told that the motherboard “should” be replaced within a month. Absolutely...awful...customer service (if you can even call it that).
After 4 hours of total call timeworn Asus, I decided to give Newegg a call and see if they can do anything for me. Gina the customer service rep was surprised to hear about the issue and Asus’ “solution” and was sympathetic and immediately went to her supervisor to see if there was something that could be done. I now have a new motherboard on its way and will be sending the defective one back to Newegg once the new one arrives. My conversation with Gina lasted 20 minutes and I had my issue resolved.
Thank you Gina, thank you Newegg, that was amazing customer service. As far as contacting Asus goes, I hope no one has to go through the run around and abysmal “customer service” that I had to go through!"

"Received a refurbished computer from one of Newegg's direct shippers when it should have been new. Called Newegg's customer service and they quickly got the problem resolved. When the new computer arrives as long as is new, everything will be fine. Should I get another refurbished one, I'll update this review."
