Ordered the Oculus rift which came with a free 30-dollar light-up mouse pad. Not something I'd buy normally but I do need a pad and I also needed a little light by the keyboard area on my desk.
So somehow during the order the free item pops out of the cart and I submit the order without it.
I chatted with support and they said I had to call in. Apparently there was a high call volume that day (I called one other time in the past and remember it being quick) so they have an option to call you when they're ready.
Talked to a rep for a few minutes and he said that it was weird and got a manager on the phone and they just sent the item gratis and separately. It took some time as my rep himself was in a queue for the manager, and he came back every couple minutes to let me know he was still waiting. Just enough so it wasn't annoying and I never felt like this call might be on hold forever.
I had the fedex tracking number for the bonus item before the phone call was finished. Probably only 15 minutes total talk time and a good deal of that was waiting for the manager. Again, crazy high call volume on this day.
The next morning I received the rift -- so like 18 hours after ordered. Didn't even pay for any rush processing or shipping. The bonus item is going to be here Monday (order took place thursday afternoon/evening and 2 day shipping says Monday by default).
I'm super happy with their service and have never had any issues in the thousands of dollars preceding this order, and this issue was handled with awesomeness. "
