Helpful assurances by Candy L. convinced me to keep my purchase

"I had purchased an expensive internet router system from Newegg's ebay store during the pre-Thanksgiving 2017 sale period. I contacted Newegg.com, which is not the ebay store, to ask about the return policy. In particular, I wanted to know the number of days allowed for the return, and whether I would be charged a restocking fee if the box was open. Although Newegg handles its ebay and Newegg.com orders separately, Candy L. from Newegg.com offered to help me with my questions.

When I asked these questions to Candy L. via help chat, I had not opened the box yet, as I was not sure that the router would meet my needs, but was concerned about the risk of incurring a restocking fee. Candy offered to accept a return without a restocking fee, even if the box was opened AND the router not defective. Candy's clear assurances gave me confidence to open the box and try out the router. In the end, I decided to keep the router and so did not have to go through a return process. However, knowing that I could return the router for a full refund limited any anxiousness as I tested out the router.

I want to commend Candy L. (and Newegg.com) for great customer service!

That’s not my package??

"So my last review of Newegg was amazing they were able to help me get all the right parts for my new computer I was building. My current review is based around me ordering my Oculus Rift. I was excited to get home yesterday because I received the email that my package was delivered. I get Home to find a random LG monitor shipped to my house. You could imagine my confusion and anger. So I called up and was given the opportunity to speak to Drew. Firstly Drew is amazing. He was calm cool and collective. Completely understanding of my situation and eager to fix it. I was really worried that they would try to blame me for the wrong item (it’s happebed before at other stores and companies) but Drew reassured me that he would be able to handle the situation and get everything sorted. He then took the steps to getting everything set up so that my oculus would be shipped to my house. Just waiting for a follow up as of now to figure out what’s going on and the rest of the shipping information. This type of customer service is why I’m a NewEgg Customer. Thanks Drew!!"

Excellent Customer Support

"I had a shipping issue with multiple shipping labels on the package which was preventing the delivery. Called customer support and within 30 minutes the issue was resolved and I should be receiving my delivery soon. The representative on the phone was well spoken and refunded me the shipping costs. Real stand up guy, didn't try to swoon me over with any bs. I wish all customer support reps cared as much as Newegg reps do. "

Beware of rebate coupons

"Rebate coupons may seem attractive on surface but if you have a problem with a product and you’ve mailed in your rebate Newegg you will not let you return it no matter how soon after purchase or how defective the product is. Buyer beware

The customer service agent Arman, provided an AMAZING support experience to help me resolve my issue.

"I attempted to use @Affirm (https://twitter.com/Affirm) to conduct a purchase for a graphics card sold by Newegg on their marketplace's website. Long story short a glitch in the checkout system mixed with me choosing a shipping option which increased the price ( I should have chose free shipping with Newegg Premier it is usually 2 days or less!! It beats Amazon Prime because Newegg does not charge sales tax for NY.) The price increase would not have been a huge issue to correct. The main issue is that the FREE game from Newegg.
The way it is charged is a $59.99 charge full price. The price of the game is then subtracted from the main item's price. Affirm virtual CC's unfortunately, DON'T seem to like that. I believe that factor is where the problem is. So if Affirm is seeing this, they advised me to take out another CC and wait 21 days for the previous loan to be cancelled. Naturally, I could not do that as the double request set off a red flag or something. This was not a "solution" from Affirm. With Affirm virtual CC transactions.. It is a one time use card that is only active for twelve hours... and while I'm not 100% on the exact reason, I couldn't use the card anymore to make a new transaction or otherwise once there was a problem. Additionally, this was a problem as the system on Newegg looked like the funds will go through but unfortunately, at the end of the day Newegg would not receive the funds from Affirm as per the Affirm CSR's advice and I opted to cancel the order and start fresh. While this does not enumerate the actions Arman took to resolve my issue. I have to say that he voluntarily explored every single option available to him to help me out. Took his time to ensure what he was saying was accurate and finally setup a follow up contact to make sure it was all okay. I will be a returning customer solely because of Arman. Not the faster shipping.
