"Regular purchaser from Newegg.com for many years...Was trying to buy an optical drive online but couldn't find anything about the included software. Reviews/Q&A referenced specific software but the reviews were over 3 years old (ancient in tech!). So after much searching and reading I finally called Newegg direct and was fortunate enough to get an extremely helpful person (Francisco) on the other end. He went above and beyond. He saw the same thing I was seeing so he contacted Pioneer directly while continuing to look on his end until he had an answer for me. That answer led to a sale!!! This is what you want when you are trying to make a decision. Without his persistence, I had another purchase lined up for a different device on another shopping site. Once again, Newegg.com for the win!"
"Carina was a pleasure to deal with. There was an issue with my credit card company failing to accept the inital charge and I had to reorder an item. She worked with me and then with another member of your staff to get the item sent to me for the same price I had initially ordered it. Then later, because of my error in placing the order the second time around, she took the initiaitive to contact the third parth I had accidentially placed the order with and processed the order through Newegg for me. In my experience customer service is a dying art and fortunately for you Carina learned that art and practices it for your customers. In my opinion she is an excellent asset to your company. I hope you can recognize her with some award for her outstanding customer service.

"I bought a $1700+ Gigabyte laptop and the seal was broken. After booting it up, there was a user password on it! So it was obviously used, but sold to me as a brand new item (from NewEgg - not "marketplace partner").
But it gets worse... When I wanted to exchange, I noticed that it was out of stock. I brought this up to the rep and he said that it won't be a problem (i.e. they'll get me the same thing again). Well, today I found out they won't be able to ship what I want and I need to pick something else. It's been 2 weeks without a good laptop through all of this!
Ended up cancelling the order and bought elsewhere. NewEgg apologized but didn't do anything about it.
I've been a customer since 2006 and never expected this :-("
"Mistakes get made. Its about how people fix them. One of the ways it appears newegg gets low prices is they do not own all the inventory and can ship from different sellers. This creates multiple orders, and some orders may go through successfully while others do not. This was confusing when i ordered about $1500 worth of stuff and two items valued around $30 made it, the rest did not. The guy handling my call was able to find my order, resubmit, and somehow the prices all went down and I saved $100. Win!"

I called to see if they were willing to send me a replacement in advance and was fortunate enough to get Troy on the phone. I explained I was willing to pay for the replacement if needed and then seek reimbursement after the defective item was replaced. "He helped me handle two returns that I had been unable to get handled due to time commitments, ensured that all of my questions went answered, and it was nice actually talking to someone genuine. I had bought somethings off the market place without realizing/knowing there was such a thing, I'm used to old school Newegg where you bought from Newegg at all times. Anyway they didn't work out and I needed to return them but there were so many policies and lack of direction when returning items to market place sellers. If Newegg can get Sean/Shaun/Shawn whipping others into shape I may feel confident enough to buy from the market place again. For now I'll stick to relying only on Newegg products, the market place policies and practices are just not up to what I expect when buying from Newegg. If there was a Sean Ma. getting involved in making it a smoother/similar experience I think it just.. might.. work.
