Marlene Saved the Day!

"I got scammed by a third party seller on Newegg marketplace (Best4Less) and Marlene.M.Arteaga from Newegg completely saved the day. Not only did she get me a refund from the seller that scammed me, she spent almost an hour on the phone with me to help me find a similar item to what I had tried to purchase that's in my price range and to ensure delivery by Christmas. She was so kind and patient - I was crying even thinking Christmas had been ruined and she listed patiently and helped every step of the way. Can't wait to see my husband's face on Christmas when he opens it!!"

"Though the queue wait was rather long, (It's Christmas time, so totally understandable) I had a very positive experience when requesting a replacement for a video game part that didn't work properly. Newegg has eggcelent customer service

" I had a real bad experience where I ordered a part and eight days later they haven’t even sent it, I thought Christmas was going to be a total bummer because of it. Refuses to Help with Software Issue.

"I purchased, online, a Windows 7 Professional x64 bit program installation disc and key code. The key code was covered by a gray film and needed to be scrapped off in order to get to the 25 digit key code. In scratching off the gray material the key code underneath was destroyed and unusable.

I did a chat session with Daisy F. Kang at newegg. She insisted that I contact Microsoft and get a case # and ask them about getting a new key code. The contact # is ***-***-**** and as I told Ms. Kang, Microsoft does not deal with third party issues and does not issue new codes for programs sold through third party vendors.

I also apprised her that Microsoft stopped releasing any new Windows 7 products and support in 2015. I even emailed her the page from the Microsoft site.

No matter what I told her, she was dead set on not doing anything to help me.

After the chat session, I went online and found numerous instances of the same thing happening to a great number of people. The gray stuff over the key code just doesn't want to come off easily. I also found several instances of people who had bought their software through newegg and were issues replacements or refunds when they were contacted about the key code issue. Apparently, they choose not to do that anymore and I am now out $153.00. (Order #244324129)

I have bought hardware from newegg in the past, but will never buy from them again nor recommend them to anyone who builds their own computer systems or are looking to upgrade or replace an item.

Customer Service Assistance with Post Office Issues

"I've been ordering from Newegg as an individual for many years and go through them for business purchases at work more recently. Newegg's customer service has always done everything they can to assist with any issues that might crop up whether that has been payment issues (card security flagging purchases), hardware issues (RMA), rebate issues, or most recently a missing package with the Post Office.

The thought of dealing with the USPS customer service made me consider talking with Newegg first and I could not have been happier with the result. The NewEgg CSR that I spoke with (Stephanie) was extremely helpful, getting all the information necessary and going through the various options available to resolve this issue.
