"Very competitive prices. Fast shipping. Unparalleled customer service. They have helped with any issue far beyond expectations and really take the time to assure the problem is resolved. I'm so impressed. It's hard to to buy all parts from newegg."
"I got my computer and like it "
"Never shipped the item. Gave me a bogus tracking number that had never been scanned. Kept telling me they were "investigating a claim" of the missing item. Kept changing the deadline (3-5 business days, then 1-2 more business days, then 1-2 more business days)
Meanwhile its two weeks later and the tracking has still never shown as being picked up. The item is now out of stock."
"I've ordered a lot of computer parts from newegg - and they have always delivered. Not sure why so many bad reviews? The only thing is I would avoid third party sellers. Why does newegg want to be amazon?"
"I was scammed out of $100 with now recourse and all Newegg did was give me a runaround. "
"This company is the worst that can exist after they took the payment from my bank for two occasions they canceled my account without telling me anything and they never sent me what I had ordered I have never bought anything from such an unprofessional company they cancel your account just because you did not take the call from them do not buy in this company they are deceivers"
"Absolute Trash Customer Service
Spent 5,600 dollars on a PC from their website. I look back at my order to find out it’s going to an address in California I have never lived at. Spoke with customer service, they could not adjust the address and had to refund me so I could reorder it.
This was on a Thursday. They didn’t even actually apply the refund till the next Monday. Had to wait for it. Got the refund. Tried to purchase it again. Told me payment was declined. Even though it is now processing out of my bank account. Newegg customer service told me it’s not, and I had to speak to my bank. My bank had to cancel the payment because it was going through. And now they have sold the computer I spent 5,600 dollars on over a week ago.
And I’m still waiting on a 2nd refund now. Absolutely utter trash customer service.
The most insane purchasing experience I have ever had. You’d think when you are giving someone 5,600 dollars for a product that they would be a little more assistive."
"Let's be honest, we've all gotten something that was broken when it arrived. As an IT pro of more than 25 years experience I have had my fair share of manufacturing defects. Also I do note that the chances of hitting a defective product these days are fairly remote, which is probably why I didn't check my Intel Xeon CPU before installation. Yes you know, one of those expensive buggers for a server.
Fair enough, once the system reported an error that could only be either a board or CPU issue, I did uninstall the CPU and did find a manufacturing defect. Two of the corners were very slightly lifted up out of shape. For those who are familiar with LGA1151 sockets, this was at the opposite side to the "keys" and therefore the clamp hinge mechanism. Very kindly Newegg said that the CPU was damaged (which of course I had told them) and it was due to installation error and therefore not their fault. However if I had mis-installed the CPU, the corners would not be lifted but bent down as the CPU would have sat high on the key and the pressure would be downward not up. Furthermore you would have to use extraordinary force to close the catch, plus be in more danger of completely snapping the board than merely bending it.
Upon eventually finding a way to talk to somebody, they flagged a second inspection that came back the same as the first. Well of course, I told you it was damaged, in the exact way it was damage, the probably cause of the damage (I suspect a depanneling tool issue which sometimes happens when cutting boards, especially small ones), and that their initial diagnosis was impossible. They then further went on to claim that if I had seen the damage why did I try installing the CPU - Duh, I did not notice it, it happens very very rarely!
Anyway I am now out of pocket to the tune of several hundred dollars, and will have to replace the CPU on my own back and go through the hassle of dealing with Intel support, who will undoubtedly question why I am trying to return something that was DOA through their process. But my client and I can not wait for this process, especially if it proves to be fruitless, so as a warning, Newegg are great when things work, but if you have something defective, you might as well be wiping your bum with the $20 bills that you used to purchase the product in question (at least you would have gotten more use out of your money)! Never again Newegg - Sorry once a loyal and pretty regular customer for those hard to find things, but alas no more thanks to your very poor customer service."
"I have been a longtime Newegg customer. I recently had a return of an item.
The reason for the return was the item was not compatible with my phone as a controller. This risk was not listed in the item description. I was able to return the item but I was was not reimbursed for return shipping, which was half the cost. Newegg would not refund all my money.
I will never do business with Newegg again."
"I ordered a 6TB hard drive from the website and the item was never received. (Delivered to the wrong address?) The company refuses to refund me the money claiming "the item was shipped completed."
So as long as they shipped the item and the delivery company delivered the item to somewhere / someone (which include someone but YOU at the wrong address), they are free from any responsibility... KNOW YOUR RISK When Ordering from the Newegg.ca...."
"I purchased Turbotax but accidentally ordered the Mac version instead of the Windows version. However I did attempt to launch the URL they gave me to see if it would load the correct version. The URL was a dud and would not launch any website. After 2 phone calls I was sent a new URL for the Windows version. That URL also would not work. I then started working with a "supervisor". After sending screenshots to prove that the URL doesn't work and 2 more phone calls I was told that the tech dept will work on the problem and get back to me. At that point I asked for a refund. They will not issue a refund and won't give me an estimate as to when the tech dept will be able to provide a URL that actually works. I am probably going to end up eating the $70 I paid them. Stay away from these guys. "
"i love thier services and products"
"It is amazing their prices and items "
" I purchased a desktop $654.09 Nov 30th and the arrival was delayed for 2 weeks. And worst the item was defective. I sent it back within 30 days policy return, in its original box after I made a complain to the company asking for a full refund. They said I was entitled to get my refund, but instead I got the same defective item (3 weeks later) because it was missing the serial number in the back of the desktop. I called the manufacturer (Skytech) to figure it out why was the serial # missing? After 1 hour in live chat with pictures and videos, the representative told me this model wouldn't have had a serial tag on the back. It is on the bottom. Newegg made a mistake with the product and refused to honor my refund. Ethan (customer service supervisor) very mean and rude person. I am still waiting for them to accept the defective item back so I could get my refund but no words from them yet. Never Ever Will buy again from this company "SCAMERS"!!"
"I've purchased computer components and electronics from The Egg for 10 years. I have never been disappointed. NEVER!"
"I ordered a laptop from NewEgg.com. I called to see if I could exchange it for a full refund. There was a better one at a cheaper price. I was told of course. There was not information about second part buyer. I was told they would not give a full refund once they received the laptop back. The original price was $485.00 and they stated that they were only going to give me back $396.54. I called and Eathan the supervisor literally told me they had that right to do that. I stated if I had been told that at the time I would not of sent it back. First of all one of their customer service people is the one that helped me pick the laptop out. He never said anything about 2nd or 3rd party sellers. Eathan stated that he would send an email on my behalf to ask the seller if they would give the restock fee back. If you ask me New Egg owes me $88.46. They are the responsible party. This a crooked Scam. DO NOT BUY FROM NEWEGG.COM!!!"
