"Very competitive prices. Fast shipping. Unparalleled customer service. They have helped with any issue far beyond expectations and really take the time to assure the problem is resolved. I'm so impressed. It's hard to to buy all parts from newegg."
"You shouldn’t buy from Newegg because of their return policy. You will have to pay 15% stocking fee and pay for the shipping. I learned the hard way.
I chat with them and they told me is better to not return and keep the product.

"I found a laptop I wanted at a decent price at newegg. It has been many years since I've dealt with them, and they used to be a good company, so I decided to buy from them. I signed up for their in store credit card, since it got me a good extra discount, that made this deal a definite value. When I went to checkout, it asked for a cvv, which of course isn't provided in your approval and temp account number info (cvv is printed on the back of the card only, and isn't available electronically for very good security reasons). I called customer service. Customer service kept asking inane questions, provided suggestions that did not fit the simple and clearly described problem, and said things that ignored both what I had said, and also ignored information they'd already provided me. They eventually said that I must contact the bank, and in the end were just plain rude. They also simply ignored my request for escalation. I did eventually call the bank (Synchrony Bank is the provider), they confirmed that they don't have access to the CVV, and also said they'd reported this website problem back to newegg on more than one occasion.
I sent a total of 3 messages to customer support and website feedback requesting response. That was 2 days ago, and nothing.
Yes they have good prices and selection, their search tools and product information are good, and much better than amazon, but if there's any problem, customer service is incompetent, rude, and they ignore feedback. So in my experience, they are not a good company to do business with."
"Hold on tight people! This is going to be a long review. If I could, I give Newegg 0 star! I am a first time Newegg customer. I bought a Ryzen 3700X CPU processor from Newegg, along with a motherboard and RAM memory. I received the first package on 1/15/2021, which only contained the RAM memory. I assumed that the processor would be delivered along with my motherboard in a separate package I was waiting on. On 1/17/2021, I decided to check my Newegg order history just to make sure it would arrive with my motherboard. Lo and behold! It showed that the CPU processor was supposed to be delivered with my RAM. Unfortunately, it wasn't there. I then looked up Newegg's policy on missing items. This is their policy on missing items:
"Item is missing from your order
If an item is missing from your order, please follow the below steps:
If there is more than one package in your order, make sure they have all been delivered.
Carefully check the packing material (smaller items may be hidden).
If you can’t find the item, please contact us within 7 days of delivery."
After reading that, I filed a claim with them on 1/18/2021. I even took the extra step and reached out to their customer service on the same day. They told me to take photos of the shipping box and send an email to their followup email account. Knowing that my photos were over 25MB, I still sent it anyways. I was told that it would take 7 - 10 business days and that I would receive a status update. I waited 7 business days, no status update from their claims team. On 1/25/2021, I reached out to their customer service again, and was told "Oh, the 18th is a holiday, so you will hear back on 1/26." Alright cool, the 18th was MLK day. 4 days after reaching out to them on 1/25/2021, still no updates from their "claims" team.
On 1/29/2021, I reached out to their customer service again. I was told that they never received my photos and that the claim was denied on 1/27/2021. Really? No status update from their "claims" team and my claim was denied? My laptop went through a BSOD and had to reboot. I then reached out to their customer service again, and customer service rep was able to actually help. I had him stay on the chat line with me while I sent my photos. Again, I told the rep that my photos are over 25MB and I can't send it. The rep agreed to allow me to send my photos in two separate emails. The rep confirmed that he had received the photos and that I will hear back later that day. Ok cool. I waited and received an email at 7:21PM CST on 1/29/2021 saying that they updated and re-opened my claim. Nothing else about getting more updates.
I waited until 2/3/2021, still, NO UPDATES FROM THEIR "CLAIMS" TEAM! Really?! Again, being the diligent person I am, I reached out to their customer service again. This time I was told that 2/3/2021 is considered the 3rd business day and it is still pending. Ok, fine, I'll wait until 2/5.
Today, 2/5/2021, still no status update from their claims team. Reached out to customer service again. Was told the same thing, claim denied. They claimed they "verified" and "thoroughly" investigated with their warehouse and the warehouse "claimed" they shipped it. I asked if I could appeal the decision or get a refund instead since I didn't receive the CPU I ordered? NOPE! With a denied claim, even if you provided your photo evidences and reached out multiple times, no refund for you! The rep then said that she would send a request to their "claims" team to further check the claim status and it would take 1 - 2 business days for a response. Not satisfied with that response, I decided to check my review post on their Facebook page to see if they responded. Was told by "Louis" to send a private message about the claim. Sent a message about my claim and what was going on with it at 9:32AM CST. I received a response after a few hours, telling me the same thing. No refund or replacement on missing items since they "verified" it with their warehouse after a "thorough" investigation.
In the end, I lost over $325 for a CPU that I never received after 3 weeks of running around with their "claims" team and customer service. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!! HAVE SOME COMMON SENSE! DO NOT BUY YOUR ITEMS FROM NEWEGG! THEY WILL NOT HAVE YOUR BACK! YOU WILL NOT GET YOUR MONEY BACK, GUARANTEED! TAKE YOUR MONEY AND GO BUY SOMEWHERE ELSE! SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE!"
"Problem with the shipping, so my package returned to the expeditor, and I had to wait 4 freeking weeks for them to ship an replacement and 3 more to receive it, and I HAD TO PAID THE FEES! Contacted the customer service 4 times and they were never ever be able to give me answer or solution, they said again and again to wait more. Stay with amazon my folks"
"Newegg "suspended" my account out of no where. A few weeks back I purchased a new Motherboard and CPU, then the following week a new external HD. Went back in to order new ram and noticed a message my account was "suspended" due to security concerns. Called CS and they were no help, they had a manager call me back who said they found the suspension "weird" saw nothing on the account that would explain it.. They opened a ticket with the "verification team" and emailed me back an hour later saying they wouldnt be able to unlock that account. I asked if they were telling to shop else where and their response was no and they suggested opening a new account with a different email which i have done.. In the mean time I created an order and checked out as Guest using my work email address, this morning when i checked the status of the order it was showing as VOID due to "verification concerns" I called CS and they weren't able to to provide any information as to the "verification" other than opening a ticket that would be answered in 1-2 days... No clue WTF is going on with Newegg.. It appears i've been blackballed by them for making a couple of purchases?? "
"I know they sell a lot and r good "
"love the price and service"
"Purchased a digital game through Newegg for a PC. They charged me for 2 instead of one digital download. When asked for a refund on one they refused. On top of that the game will not even work"
"I ordered all of the parts for a custom PC for my sons to build for Christmas. I ordered part on 11-28-20 and another order on 11-30-20. A few days before Christmas it became obvious my video cards and CPU fans would not arrive on time. I ordered from Ebay and Amazon and was able to get the components to my house before Christmas. Newegg acknowledged that the fans were lost and started a 7-10 day claim for me(not helpful). However, the video cards were supposedly on schedule from China. I was not aware I ordered something from China. I assumed it was all from Newegg. Wrong. Anyway after it was too late for Christmas I received my items that I now had no use for. I had to pay return shipping and restocking fees on the packages. Close to 80 dollars. I understand they cannot control shipping times but a month is unreasonable by any standard and I should not be held financially responsible for the shipping delays. First and last dealings with Newegg. They only care about the bottom line and are not interested in taking care of the customers needs unless it makes them a buck. Amazon always takes care of any issues I have and I should never have taken my business away from them. Lesson learned."
"I dropped over $1500 with them in the last 30 days, but I realized one $225 part was not what I needed and instead I needed a different one they had at $300. Called about an exchange and they told me I'll have to pay to ship the part back (fair enough) and I'll take a 15% restock fee hit because it is opened even though everything is like new and complete. Really? Fine, I'll sell it elsewhere and buy the replacement elsewhere as well. I used to drop thousands a year with these guys but now I remember why I don't any more."
"Ordered ram from them and after 2 weeks still not delivered. Contacted them and they want to do an investigation for 10 days and then and only then they will notify me of the results. They have a take it leave it attitude. Do not buy from them! "
"Newegg doesn't honor their promotions. They advertise promotions with no expiration date, then deny your claim as expired."
"Would have liked it a bit faster, but it is what it is. "
"I bought a digital code for a video game on Xbox. The webpage says orders are usually processed and sent within an hour. Well I waited a day, then contacted support, who said that it may take an additional 1-3 days to process. Once processed, the code is sent within an hour.
The year is 2020. We should have computers automatically processing these orders and sending out codes. Not humans. It's not like I haven't ordered from Newegg before. I've been a customer for years. Just buy these digital codes from Microsoft directly next time, not worth the few dollars I saved."
"I bought a item for my daughter for christmas (2019) it had a warrenty and they held up to that they said return it and we will send you a replacement....great right?! Wrong I sent my item back to them they got my item on October 15th. They confirmed they received it. So I let them know like I had told the 6 people before them that I no longer lived at the address they have and I needed to update my address. They said they could do it soon as they were going to ship out the replacement item. Wrong they said after having my item they can't update addresses in their system for replacements. What a joke so after finding that out the customer service lady said the return will be processed by October 22nd and I'd have my money refunded back (since they can't update an address) in 3 to 5 days. Well it's now the 30th of October annnnnd they haven't even processed it according to the customer service person I spoke with today. She insures me it will be handled within 1 to 2 business days.
I'd give them -5 stars if i could!! This place is a joke. They are basically stealing from people!"
