"My 55-inch tv arrived late Wednesday evening, and it was clear upon inspecting it in the light of day that the box had gotten knocked around and damaged during shipment. I didn't want to take a chance that the damage extended to the TV itself, so I called Newegg customer service. All around, it was an even-better-than-hoped-for experience dealing with this.
Nayeli was the customer service representative with whom I spoke. She was professional, helpful, focused, competent at everything she was doing on my behalf, friendly, and persistent in getting us to a good solution while on the call.
I will also note that in today’s world where we all interact with customer service reps in call centers all over the world who are reading from a script — and telling us in overly “sincere” voices that they “understand our frustration” (talking about you here, Amazon!) — it was refreshing to deal with Nayeli who was speaking with me as a regular person. Thank you for that, Newegg and Nayeli!
It was clear that Newegg had enabled her to do everything that needed to be done to solve the problem. Nayeli gets a 10 out of 10 on every metric in this case, and so does Newegg (so far at least — we still have another couple weeks to go to get the TV returned and credit issued to my card.)
The solution in this case is to have my TV returned to Newegg for a full credit back to my credit card. I’m disappointed that the TV was damaged in shipping, but I’m happy and relieved that we were able to address the problem relatively easily and relatively quickly."
"There was a shipping problem with my order. My order was shipped by the vendor on the day that I ordered it. Great! It went from Illinois to California in 4 days, where I live, but before it arrived to me, it was shipped to Maryland, then back to Illinois, where it stayed for 6 days, before being shipped back to California, where it was finally delivered to me 16 days after it was ordered. It was supposed to be a 5 day delivery. Many thanks to Newegg Representative Angelo.G.Barajas for his customer support!"
