"Ordered a computer monitor. FedEx claimed to have delivered it but my building has zero record it ever arrived. After an initially slow claims process, and some non-answers from fedex and Newegg the second time I called I got connected to a Newegg rep named Danny, who really took top notch initiative and personally in one day got the claim against fedex approved and also managed to get me overnight shipping with signature service (so fedex didn’t drop the ball again). "Ordered a $2,400 65" Samsung TV on Wednesday, received it damaged the Friday after next... Horrible shipping experience with AIT the ONLY way Newegg ships large items. Items get passed through too many hands and even though the problems are obvious, nothing has been done to fix it. I don't see how Newegg can even make money if they just waste peoples time using this company to ship and have to refund all the money they would have made anyway.
Either way, you're asking for trouble and a bad experience if you order large items from Newegg. Don't do it, not worth it."

This is the first time I've used NewEgg's "ship to a FedEx center for pickup" option on shipping, as porch pirates have become a bigger deal in my area. I don't think very highly of this process.
Apparently my packages sat in the local FedEx office for more than a week and no one contacted me. NewEgg never sent me an email to let me know the packages had been shipped, and FedEx never let me know that they had arrived.
NewEgg then canceled my orders and had them shipped them back.
Their original shipping estimate was actually longer than it took for the items to arrive at my FedEx store. So that would have been great if NewEgg had let me know the items were there or had just left them with FedEx a little longer. But no ...
Anyway, when I checked my account online and realized that the goods were on their way back, I contacted them by chat on their website.
To their credit, someone from NewEgg did call me (after I contacted the chat rep and used their callback service) and got this straightened out.
I don't remember the exact sequence, it's been a few months, but NewEgg offered some compensation for a more expensive delivery option and let me get a sale price on an item that was no longer on sale when I re-ordered.
But I had to wait until the original goods arrived back at their warehouse.
So, this was kind of a slow process, but I did get both items I ordered at the better price.
So, I've deleted my old review and gave them a higher rating this time.
Still, the process was confusing and I'd rather not go through this again.

One final note: The worst part about dealing with NewEgg is trying to get in touch with customer service.
I tried calling their 800 number and also tried the chat option from their website.
Chat responded sooner, but it took 45 minutes to get a response. And that person didn't answer all the questions I had about the order.
Later, to try to get those questions answered, I also tried to use the callback service from customer support. They called me back an hour later than promised. All that person could do was tell me that I would eventually be reimbursed IF the packages -- that I have never seen or touched -- got back in their warehouse.
Earlier, the chat rep had offered to reimburse me up to $20 for shipping in a different way if I re-order. But I was told I had to contact that same rep again, which would likely have been a real problem.
So, even though they came through in the end, I'm still leery of ordering from this site again.

"Newegg is pretty much perfect. Not because they always get everything 100% on time, but because they do it 99% of the time, and the 1% of the time something bad happens, they fix it.
I ordered a power strip, which never came. I logged onto the site, texted customer support. Got a refund, though I wanted a replacement product. Two days later, when it was obvious I was not getting a replacement, I texted again, got an apology and a free power strip shipped. All over text, without sitting on hold or answering automated systems. This is how customer service should be!"
