Wrong item, 4+hours on phone, still waiting for refund 2 months later.

I recently wanted to purchase the beacon of knowledge crew box for a game I play called malifaux. I used google shopping to check out who had it for a decent price. When I noticed that newegg was selling it for 18.95 + 6.95 shipping, and i immediately jumped on it. It was a third party seller of Nobleknight games. New egg has a guarantee, so i felt comfortable Purchased, shipped, no problems. Or so I thought, i open the package and notice its just poison gamin and not what i ordered.

No big deal, so i call noble knight and speak to an employee and are told that its a mess up on newegg and the only options are to keep the gamin or give them my PayPal address to send them the difference, but they wouldn't charge me shipping (oh boy!). Well, this wasn't something i felt was right, so i said i find that unsatisfactory and would call newegg.

Call newegg, and tl:dr, they blame noble knights, they gave noble knights 24 hours to send the product or they would pull them off the marketplace. So fast forward to today and i get a return email. No call, so basically, i have to call new egg again and soak up time to get them to refund me shipping originally and pay for me to ship the item back(which they originally didn't plan and i would have been out 14$ to get nothing in this fiasco) out to noble knights.

Now it’s been over two months, I have waited for a refund. I still haven’t received it. I got an email that the canceled to rma this morning and had to spend another hour on the phone trying to figure out what is going on. I was told I will hear back from them later this week to get it resolved. Hopefully I will get my funds back. But I won’t believe it until i see it.

I will do everything I can to never order through Newegg again and use their competitors. I have never had such a unpleasant experience with a company.

total time on phone - 4hrs 21mins. And counting.
total products i paid for-0
Total money I am out for using Newegg -39$

Relief to have excellent customer service

"I have been battling with people at other computer companies on the phone for weeks who were very unhelpful. Edmund was very helpful and has offered to allow me to reach out to him directly if the problem does not resolve in two days.
The problem was not even a New Egg problem, but he reached out to the third party vendor for me to try and resolve the issue.

New egg never lets me down

"I had just bought a rx580 black edition for 259.99 and when I got it and checked my order. The price had dropped $100!! I called them up to see if I could return the graphics card and get the cheaper price. The represenative said there was no need. She checked to see if she could do something about it, and she could. So she was able to give me a 100 dollar gift card on new egg to make up for it. To bad I’m about to spend it all again."

Deceptive Business!

"Black Friday 2017, I ordered 2 computer monitors and paid for expedited shipping only to receive ground shipping. After many calls and time wasted on the phone with this company, they refunded the shipping. Fast forward to Feb 26, 2019, a colleague convinced me that they hadn't had problems with Newegg and give them another shot so I did. I purchased a CPU and paid for 2 day expedited shipping. Tracked the item today to see when it was being delivered, and lo and behold not until 03/04/2019, which would be 6 days after I made the purchase. Opened an online chat with Customer Service at Newegg and they said, "Sorry it's already shipped, nothing we can do about it now. We can offer you $10 off your next order and refund the shipping though!"

I don't know what kind of happy pills they were on because there is no way in Hades that I will ever order from them again. What are the odds that the two times I have made purchases from them, they failed to deliver expedited shipping both times? How many other people have they done this to?

Fair warning, don't listen to the other reviews that state the shipping was fast because that is a lie.

Same bad experience

"I stopped using Newegg a long time ago, because the customer service was going down hill, items were always late, and the experience was getting to an overall low. Years later, I give Newegg another chance. Same crap, different day. I ordered a keyboard and it never arrived. I emailed them, and I never heard back. Messaged them on Facebook, but no one is around. I am honestly surprised that Newegg is still around. I want my money back so I can purchase it from amazon instead. "

Bad Experience with Television Order

"Beware when ordering a TV from Newegg! I ordered a 65 inch television from Newegg and when I unboxed the TV, I discovered that it was damaged during shipment. I contacted Newegg the next day and per their request, sent them photos of the damage. After a few days, Newegg authorized a return. However, Newegg stated their policy is NOT to ship a replacement TV until the broken TV is returned to their warehouse. It took TWO WEEKS (and numerous phone calls by me) for the broken TV to be picked up by the local delivery service! By the time Newegg received the broken TV, the TV I wanted was out of stock. Newegg finally issued a credit to my credit card 30 days after I placed the order! Overall, a bad experience."
