"I have generally had very bad experience with Newegg customer service live chat. There are definitely issues with their live chat system where it would skip the 'next in queue' count. Prior to my most recent experience, I waited over 3 hours to get to talk to a CS rep with 400+ people in queue only for them to not bother to wait more than 2 minutes for me to respond. Or I would not even get a CS rep at all and just get stuck at the 'next in queue' screen for hours.
But this one time, my CS rep named Alvin L. made things very quick and easy. I had a set of RAM sticks that I thought was a matte gray/white color but it turned out to be a very bright silver color which differed based on the images on their site. But I already opened the item and I really would not like to pay the 15% restocking and shipping fee because the RAM sticks were relatively expensive. But Alvin asked how my day was and asked for a few details to verify my identity and the item I was asking about. He made things very quick and easy and just the small details of asking a customer about their day is just wonderful of him to do. "
"Newegg used to be the go-to website for computer parts.
Now, it's just ridiculous. Shipping to APO use to be about $5-7 dollars for something like a motherboard. Now they're charging over $20 for smaller items.
And the processing time is even worse. Just checked on an order that I placed. Ordered more than two weeks ago and it shows it's still processing.
Good luck trying to chat with them. Just search Newegg and chat and hear all the horror stories. Last time I tried to chat with then, I was number 71 in line. Took 7hours of waiting. When I finally spoke to someone, they really didn't know what to do. Every reply was that she wasn't sure and would need to send an email to her manager who isn't there at this time.

"I Ordered two pieces of equipment for my computer Friday and paid 28.95 for overnight shipping and i also paid rush processing since it was Friday and of course I wanted my stuff on Monday my only day off during the week. So I call the customer service phone number and they proceed to tell my wait is 362 minutes at 6 o'clock. So I get on the phone with the rep and she tells me that she sees that I have picked the fastest shipping AND ALSO RUSHED PROCESSING. Crazy how i ordered a few other parts in fact more parts from amazon than I did from this crummy website and they can still manage to have all my parts out to me either today on Sunday or tomorrow on Monday and I didnt even pay the extra for shipping it was free with amazon prime lol but NEWEGG wants to tell me that even though I paid for the fastest shipping and the RUSHED PROCESSING that my order is still going to take until Tuesday to arrive. PATHETIC NEWEGG NO WONDER AMAZON IS STEALING YOUR CUSTOMERS LEFT AND RIGHT GET WITH THE SHHHHHHHHH"
"It's unfortunate when the product that you order ends up not working the way that you intend. In my case, the board I ordered had some troubles. I was happy that the support I received was courteous and fast. Marcel provided me with great support and really helped me out in getting the board replaced as fast as possible so I can get this desktop together for my nephew.

"Buying the perfect Christmas gift is already a stressful event with teenage boys. I had one task and that was a gaming PC. He gave me the Black Friday ad with the "perfect" within budget gaming computer. I quickly got online to purchase the machine. What I did NOT realize was that the computer in question had the same name with 1060,1070, and 1080 (which means nothing to me). Needless to say, I purchased the first one that came up in the gaming section and it was the wrong one. I was not aware until after it had shipped. Distraught at my mistake I contacted customer service and Eddie.E.Sanchez-Escobedo answered the other end. He was extremely helpful and had all the problems worked out and solved in a matter of minutes. He was humorous and made a stressful situation tolerable.
