I always shop newegg.com for computer equipment and buy there 99% of the time too. I recently built a new computer and when I got my new monitor I found 2 dead pixels. The manufacturer's website indicated it would not be covered, but I called newegg anyway and they sent me RMA info (after sharing my bummed feelings on the defective new monitor) with no hassles. I used ShipRunner shipping so maybe that's why there was no return shipping, I'm not 100% sure on that.
I did have a small hassle on getting the new monitor - it was right at the end of the year and my monitor didn't show up when I expected it, instead I received an email that my refund was being processed. I called and they didn't have any in stock so they were refunding rather than exchanging. I asked for options because I wanted that monitor at my price and they said if I ordered a new one (it was on backorder on the site) they would refund me the difference after I had the invoice. I did (luckily I got the order processed in time because 2 hours later I couldn't order another on the site) and now have the new monitor as well as the refund. I couldn't use ShopRunner for this replacement order so I took their EggSaver shipping option. I talked to another rep who said they'd refund the shipping as well, but I haven't asked for that yet. It was only $2.99 so even without it, I'm still overall very happy."
"Okay so for whatever reason NEWEGG decided to break my order up into 5 SEPARATE charges. So obviously my bank froze my card and most of the transactions didn't go through. However, my bank still put a hold on 1600 dollars that were supposed to be used for my computer build. After WAITING FOR 2 and 1/2 FREAKEN hours to get in contact with NEWEGG and finally I got a call back from this wonderful person. He is the sole reason that I am giving 5 stars. He helped me solve all of my issues and contacted my bank so they would release the funds. He is a blessing and I hope great thing happen for him.
As far as my experience with the website and trying to give them money it was a train wreck and I hope that the company can get there head out of there rear end and fixes it. For that experience, I would give negative stars if I could.
To reiterate RJ.A.Rosales IS A BOSS and he was the only good thing that came out of this experience. I am considering not finishing my purchase with NEWEGG due to the failure on their part to streamline the user experience. I do hope that you continue doing what you ARE NOT doing. Maybe you can get some inspiration from another online service like AMAZON. I wonder if they have what I am looking for? "
"I only have a issue with payment, but then Customer Rep (Rick) not only try to help my payment. He even also gave me some good advice on the stuff I've purchase in order to build my first PC. I wasn't even expecting a Rep knowing anything more then parts, but Rick gave me advice for future for addition on PC. Not only he know what I was talking about, he was also friendly and was patient with what questions I have. "
