I ordered on 10/17/18 for 2 day shipping, It's now 10/20/18 and no product in sight after 3 days. Now it's been moved to 10/22/18. "Ordered a new WiFi router from them, hooked it up, and it didn't work. Flipped through the quickstart guide that came with it to see if I was doing something wrong, and discovered pencilled notes somebody had made in the guide. Obviously, this was a previously returned item (probably because it was defective!) that should never have been shipped out. Given the sensitive role of a router in a network, it's just completely unacceptable and dangerous for them to have shipped a used device when a new device was ordered.
Customer service was not only unhelpful about quickly getting me a replacement, but accused me of lying about the pencilled notes when I offered to send a photo to them to avoid the hassle of returning their junk.
Newegg used to be fantastic, but now I'll be staying far, far away."
"There was an issue with the system where it rejected my order and automatically generated an RMA. At first the first customer service person (I didn't get their name) wasn't that great, so I asked to speak to a supervisor. I got Darlene on the phone and she was very detailed, calm, and thorough. She offered excellent customer service, far beyond most other companies. Although it took a but of time to resolve the problem, the problem was fully resolved A-Z, and I have faith that I won't need to call back to resolve the problem again. (I rather it take a little longer but be resolved correctly) than to have to call back several times. Darlene was calm, polite, sharp (knew what she was doing), and I enjoyed our phone conversation. She sets the bar where others should follow. Probably deserves a good raise. I can be tough to please, and she met and/or exceeded my expectations. Whatever the problem was, she found a way to solve it within her limitations and make the customer happy again."

"I have been buying from Newegg starting around 1998. For the first 16 years, I was a purchasing agent for a major university along with purchases for myself. During this time period, I also purchased from other major and minor retailers always returning to Newegg. No matter what or where I purchased technology needs both for me and the university Newegg always out-shined the others. I cannot think of any (I mean any) company with better customer service than Newegg.
I'm retired now but Newegg is still the first place I look for my purchasing needs. Over the years Newegg has always stood behind what they sale. In the 80's I purchased my first TRS-80 Color Computer clone ( COCO), then a Kaypro Laptop (who's knows Kaypro). As you can see I have been in the business for a long time. I am not one to write reviews or at least until now, this my 3rd review in 35 years. I challenge anyone to find a company with better service and selection. With Newegg you can still talk to a REAL PERSON!!"
"This was my first time overall ordering a bunch of items that amounted to about $750 worth of equipment to build my first PC. One of the items (A couple sticks of RAM) I needed to return because they were not entirely compatible with the motherboard I ordered with them, so when I attempted to return the items via the website I was hit with a restocking fee of about $27. I thought this was very high for a small box of RAM and considered that maybe it was taking into account the giant box all 3 of the items I ordered together came in. So I opened up live chat to see if I could get help with the issue and I spoke to Justin J. P. who was very helpful. He requested that I get the packaging together the sticks of RAM and send some photos to confirm that I had all of the items to avoid a restocking fee but I could not continue to stay in live chat if I needed to shut down my computer to take the RAM out of my newly built system. He was very helpful in sending me his e-mail so I could take the photos after we got done with our chat session since I would need to turn off my computer and take the ram out before I could send photos of it with the packaging. Everything I needed to have done was taken care of and this definitely makes me want to stay a future customer of Newegg since it's not very often a company not only has live chat but has people that are willing to work with you to solve every one of your problems.
Anytime I need an product for my computer I'll definitely look at Newegg first when it comes to ordering electronics online."

"I've ordered items from Newegg over the past 25 years but this last experience will make me think twice before ordering from them again. I placed an order for computer components to be delivered to my computer friend who was building a computer for me. The order, which needed to be delivered in a timely manner, was placed on their Ebay store and paid for via PayPal.
All was going well until Newegg, not Ebay or PayPal, decided to cancel the order saying that it was to an unconfirmed address. This I can understand, but when I contacted Newegg several times to explain that the address is to my friend's residence and that it is alright with me, they eventually refused to accept the order.
The communication with Newegg was poor; difficult to reach them and time consuming to get a response. I ended up purchasing the same items at a comparable price on Amazon where shipping to my friend's residence was not a problem, and I received faster shipping."
