Very polite customer service

"I placed an order online and during checkout the payment was declined. I had no idea why so I tried their online chat. The wait was only a minute or two and the support person was polite. They said anything regarding payment has to be done over the phone for security reasons, which is understandable. I called in and the wait time was only around 5 minutes. I spoke with a customer service rep by the name of Jules. He was very polite and tried to figure out what had happened. During the call I realized it was my mistake - I had entered incorrect credit card details. And a moment later the order was authorized. Very good customer service!"

had a problem with a vendor on NewEgg - addressed immediately

"I had a problem with 'clickhere2shop', a vendor on NewEgg where they didn't abide by the 2 business day response for shipping out an item once payment is received. Beyond that, they completely stopped responding when I inquired about my order status/tracking information if shipped. Nothing at all. I needed this item in time before my move and the lack of response was frustrating. Apparently, many customers complain about the same issue with 'clickhere2shop' and the service with this vendor is very bad. Stay away.

However, cs on NewEgg, Isaiah, jumped in to help and was swift, professional, and very efficient. I am still in the middle of getting a confirmation that the item has not shipped but even if so, NewEgg understands the situation and will move it to resolve this if the vendor is causing further issues.

NewEgg is a trustworthy place to shop!

Seriously Disappointed

"I ordered a PC with Win10 Pro, and received a PC with Win7. So I lost a few days trying to understand how to upgrade to Win 10. A lot of research showed that according to Acer, the Win10 free upgrade process ended in 2016. The Microsoft website said the same thing.

Once we knew all that, Chad and I agreed that the fastest thing would be for him to arrange a new download / DVD copy of Win10. This was ICC ticket 417282712. I was to receive a call on Monday. When I didn't receive a call Monday, I called again. Everett explained that rather than solve their problem, NewEgg had written to Acer and was going to wait for Acer to fix the problem. By Wednesday, nobody was taking any responsibility for anything, and I had to arrange a product return.

I have had a similar experience with TigerDirect. They shipped a 1 TB hard drive, when the order said 2 TB. They had a new drive in my hands immediately. That's customer service.

So I have wasted a week, wasted time and bandwidth downloading updates, wasted time installing other hardware, and now I have to clean the hard drive back to factory defaults. All in all, an experience I don't want to ever have to repeat.

Let the customers do the legwork

"Followed the steps on the website to perform an RMA. Email that sent did not include a shipping label and I ended up being at the postal counter on the hook for $30. After calling and around 2 hours of phone tag, I spoke to a CSR who sounded baked out of his mind, and was eventually compensated for what I paid - but would only receive it in 3-5 business days, and my actual product in another 10+ business days.
This was my first time ordering through Newegg, and likely my last.
