Not only was I able to speak with a live human, that agent, Merrik is a shining example of what your agents should strive to be. He was quick with his processes, while also finding the time to be conversational and friendly.

"Started off by placing an order for a mouse through their eBay site and I chose to apply my eBay bucks gift certificate to the order, which apparently caused an error of some sort where the tax was no longer applied to the order. Unbeknownst to me at the time, I placed the order anyway and was subsequently charged for it. Later that day received a request via eBay to cancel the order because 'the item was out of stock' despite showing '10 or more available' on the eBay listing when I bought it. So I declined the request to cancel and just asked that they ship the item whenever it is in stock, to which I never received a reply. After finding out that this was not actually the case, and the order was apparently automatically voided by Newegg because the tax wasn't applied properly, it took a dispute and claim filed through PayPal to get their customer service to respond to my eBay messages just find out what the heck was going on. After a week of multiple confusing messages back and forth about reversing some chargeback, whatever that is, the PayPal claim finally went through and I was eventually refunded my money for the original order via PayPal (not Newegg). Basically the only reason I gave 2 stars was because the Newegg representative kindly offered me $15 off my replacement order of the mouse with the tax applied, which I gladly accepted. But at the end of the day, it took nearly two weeks of hassling to save what worked out to be about a net of $3 on my order of the mouse. Definitely not the smoothest transaction ever, but I'm just glad it worked out in the end."
