"Worst Service..Waited two weeks for my order. Had to call up to check status of my order, and then told order was OOS. After two weeks of waiting, order had to be cancelled. Was not notified by any Rep. Poor Service!!!

"I purchased a cordless phone a a nearby Office Depot. In the store, pleasant people. I purchased also the product insurance policy, the PPP (I think it's called). I was handed a CD to use, at my option, to register the product. Alas, it's for Windows only, and I have a Mac. I went to the next option, online registration. Unfortunately my attempt to register was balked by a screen that read, "this purchase must not exceed $24.99." My phone cost $29.99. What to do? Call the company. L..o..n..g.. wait. At last, a representative. Nice enough fellow, but sorry, can't help me. Apparently the store clerk sold me the wrong PPP. So I write the company, get a reply from some customer service person asking that I return to the store and get things sorted out. The PPP cost $5.99. I cannot possibly get to the store, get this sorted out, and get back home in less than 45 minutes. Is my time worth so little? So: Thanks anyhow Office Depot, this was my last visit, and the loss, albeit it small (I doubt that I've spent $500 at Office Depot over the last year), is yours."
"Purcahsed a HP Laser printer on Office Depot's Website and paid by credit card with Office Depot store pickup. Went to the Montclair, CA. for pickup and the manager could not find the two printers I purchased (and paid for by credit card). After a half hour, I finally found the second laser printer (I purchased 2 for my office). After I found it, he said he would not honor the web price. I called the Office Depot 800 number listed on my confirmation email. They said they made a pricing mistake and he did not have to honor it. I still do not have a cancellation email or a credit back on my credit card. I am a Office Depot advantage (rewards) member and purchase all of my office supplies at Office Depot. I don't know what the pricing error was, but that's not my problem. There was no "I'm sorry" or anything, just "No, we won't sell it to you". I drove 20 miles to pick it up and at gas at $3.00 a gallon, I am not a happy camper. The Assistant Store Manager (by his own name tag) said to my wife and myself, we should NEVER by anything on the Office Depot web as this happens all the time, just come into the store and buy it. Yeah, sure, I'll come in to the store (not)."
"I ordered a fax machine ($29.99) from their website and selected pick-up in store on Nov.7. I received their confirmation with order number. But when I stopped by the store to pick up, I was told the item was out of stock because store inventory is not linked to their website. The store manager called another store that has the item in stock. But when I got there I was told they have the item at higher price ($59.99) and the price I purchased from the Internet was an error. The same thing happened when I tried to phrchase a laptop computer from their website several months ago. I am disappointed with their service and will never buy anthing from Office Depot again. Customer satisfaction is not their goal and they treat customers like trash. "
"Ordered item listed as discounted on Website. Chose Pick-Up. Called 5 hours later to see if pickup was ready and was told that store would not honor price listed."
"Purchased and paid for an item using their website. Went to pick up item and was told that they would not honor the sale because they had another offfer on the very same product that had a mail in rebate associated with it. I told them I wasnt interested in that offer, but wanted to collect the item that I had purchased (and paid for!) on their website. Incidentally, the other offer on the same product resulted in the exact same price that I had agreed to pay. Manager flatly refused to hand over my merchandise. I felt like calling th police; how can company's get away with such distasteful practices. Never shop again at this horrid store. Branch was Frisco, TX."
"UPDATE: NO RESOLUTION FROM TECH DEPOT
I ordered an item from Tech Depot (Office Depot in disguise) though Amazon.com. Got all of my confirmation e-mails from both parties and my CC was charged. LESS THAN 24 HOURS LATER MY ORDER WAS CANCELLED BY TECH DEPOT.
Techdepot.com's e-mail told me that it was because they couldn't assure Amazon that the item could be shipped within 5 days, but when I called their CSR told me that the item had been discontinued. Funny, because it is still for sale on the Tech Depot site.
Of course there is no way to contact Amazon.com in an efficient manner so I will lambaste them here as they deserve.
Someone needs to quit lying and give me the products I order.
Fraud complaints filed for both after I call back and get CSR names.
Man, have I had bad retailer luck lately...

"I ordered a Polycom phone on 9/25 and rec'd a confirmation the order will be shipped. On 10/03 I logged on to the website said it was to be shipped by a 3rd party so I called to cancel and I was told it was already shipped although the website said it had not shipped. On Oct 4 I received the order, poorly packaged. The polycom box was placed inside another box that was 2 1/2 times the size of the actual product box, shipped directly by Polycom. There was a hole on the side of the outer box. I opened the Polycom box and the package bubble was damaged inside the box but everything looked ok. I unpacked other items and noticed phone cord had a kink. Unable to unkink after 20 min. Plugged phone in and sound kept cutting in and out-unacceptable for a $200 phone-must have been damaged from being tossed around. Called OD on 10/5, virtual w/h called and said wld call Polycom and call me back. Still no word. I called back on 10/7, CS said they will IM virtual w/h. 10/11- I called and CS said since it was special order, I cannot return item even if damaged."
"OD cancelled my order for no reason. What a bunch of cheats. They didn't even bother to notify me or anything."
"Recently I bought some bookcases from office depot in store. When I present a staples coupon to the cashier, I was declined. He said they don't take staples coupon! I went to another OD and the manager said the coupon is valid. And then yet another store, the store manager didn't accept it.
I called OD and was first told that they will accept staples coupon if it is valid. Then the lady changed to hornor the store manager when I told I was declined.
I send two emails to office depot and never get any reply whatsoever (except the automatic reply saying that I should get replay within 2 days). They lack the least courtesy to treat a customer.
So office depot will be in my never-buy-again list. Trust me, I have doing business with Staples for a long time and never get such as experience."
"Ordered SD400 showed on their website at $279.99 for instore pickup. Went the following morning, they said that they didn't have any. Didn't receive a single email or phone call. Asked when they would get more in and he said he didn't know. Asked if I could special order to have it shipped to the store and he said it would cost the full $400. bait & switch there. called their 800 number. csr didn't know anything.. asked to speak to supervisor, she said all lines were busy and hung up on me. called again that night, csr said he was sorry and i would get the camera no matter what. even if it was to be shipped to my house. called again 2 days later to check status of this, and apparently no note was ever made about this. they cancelled my order when i told them not to, and then that csr was not able to transfer me to a supervisor OR corporate."
"I ordered a digital camera through their website for which the order went through without a problem. Had it delivered to their store, since no one would be home to get it. Got an email saying it would be delivered by Aug. 3rd, went to the store, and they told me my order was "deleted". At this point I asked if it was possible to still get my camera at the ordered price of 249.99, to which the customer rep told "no, but i'll gladly sell it to you for the listed price of 399.99." So I left, what a waste of a drive, gas, and time. Called up customer service through the 800 number, asked for the reason why it was deleted, and he could not give me a reason. I also asked him why I wasn't notified of the deleted order, which costed me a time and gas, to which he just replied sorry. I asked if it was possible to get the camera at the same price if it were to be in stock, and he told me it will never happen. Hm... the camera JUST came out this year, so I can't imagine them NEVER getting it again. Don't do business with officedepot. Sleezy chumps who can't even honor their prices, and better yet can't give you an answer why."
"Office Depot is not an honest company AT ALL. I ordered a Canon SD400 on sale for $279 for pickup at a local store in San Francisco. The purchase went thru with no problem on the web site. But when I arrived at the store, they totally changed things. First, I confirmed the product was in stock. Then I showed them my order and receipt to pick up my item. At that point, a manager came to speak with me and told me the product was out of stock. Then when I noted that the clerk had just showed me the computer which indicated 4 were in stock, they sent another manager to talk to me. this new manager told me that they cancelled my order because of an error on the web site. When I asked her why the first person lied to me, she wouldn't say why. When I asked why the company would not honor the price their web site quoted, she said it not her job to know why. then she gave me a 800 number to call. She had no concept of customer service. Either way, I felt very tricked and lied to. "
"I ordered several items from Office Depot including a case of Store Brand paper, and other office supplies. They delivered the following day as promised. 5 of the 10 reams of paper in the case of paper were damaged inside the carton. The box of offfice supplies contained items in damaged packaging inside the case. I sent Email to Customer service on the day of delivery and recieved an automated acknowlegemnt of my email a few minutes later stating I would be contacted in 24 to 48 hours. Needless to say, they still have not contacted me. I will not waste my time shopping with them again."
"Deceptive Trade Practices -- I ordered something that was in-stock. Got e-mail confirming order and stating shipment and delivery info. Product never arrived. By the time they replied to my e-mail inquiries, price had gone up $80."
