"Placed an order for Garmin GPS-18 on 10/1/05. Received the confirmation of the order. Two days later checked order status and found it listed as cancelled. Their live support link was useless and it poppped up an e-mail link. As of 10/05/05 I have received no reply to the e-mail or a reason for cancellation. In the meantime I have supplied them with my credit card info and feel compromised. I should have lloked up their rating on this site. "
"I own my own computer company and buy merchandise online on a regular basis. I found my transaction with PAGE COMPUTERS to be by far the BEST transaction I have ever had! The merchandise I bought was priced at lease $35- $40 below competitors, the customer service personal handled a difficult financial transaction with tremendous ease, and the product arrived as scheduled within the 3 days I paid for Priority Mail. F/U e-mails a bit light but not necessary with such expert service anyway! **I just wanted to add a note to posters such as kstyley3 and others stating that my post is bogus or that I am a representative from the company to please keep their false opinions made in a fit of anger to themselves. I am a private individual who had a positive experience. While I did not receive as many follow-up e-mails as I would have liked, I figured that for the extreme price reduction there would probably be some type of reduction in customer service to compensate, and was happy to find out that it was so small as to be only a reduction in e-mails. I still received several telling me that my order was received and shipped. And I received my item in perfect condition as promised within 3 days. I placed an order over a week ago on 9/26 for overnight delivery and I still have not received the product I ordered. I have called on several occasions between Wednesday 9/28 (the date it was scheduled to arrive) and today 10/3 and have been fed a series of lies. The FedEx tracking numbers given to me were bogus and your CS department keeps telling me it's on it's way. I DEMAND a refund immediately and have already notified my CC company that this is a fraudulent transaction. I want my money back NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have spent several HOURS on the phone trying to get through to your CS department and each time I do, I am lied to. The sellers site was easy to use and quick to make an account and check out. No email confirmation but the transaction did process. kept checking my account to see if they'd sent it (3 day fedex was nice) and it had only moved from "processing" to "invoiced".
after I got worried and emailed them I received the card safe, sound, cheap. I'd definitely use them again, just have to remember that you don't get email confirmations."
"DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY! I placed an order online for 20 boxes of photo printer paper and it was shipped quickly. It arrived promptly in 2 cartons. The packing list said 20 boxes were shipped but when I opened up the 2 cartons there were only 18 boxes total. I sent an email explaining and no one responded. I have called them 7 times since 8/25 and have spoken with at least 5 different people. I have sent them emails with photos of both cartons and they say they didn't receive them. They put me on hold at leased 75% of the time to speak with the warehouse or the distributor and then tell me that they should have a resolution the next day or then the next week- and still there is no resolution. I have told them several times to either send me the 2 boxes of photo paper or to give me a credit- but they do not respond. Do not buy from these incompetent and uncaring people!! I'm tired of their excuses and no action! I wish I had read the store reviews before I purchased. BUYER BEWARE!!!"
"Page Computers advertises the FireLite portable hard drive as USB-powered. After purchasing one and connecting it to a new Mac PowerBook, I learned that was not true. I have to purchase an AC power supply to use the drive. Page Computers refuses to accept any responsibilty for inaccurate information on their web site."
"I found the Samsung 997DF Two-tone monitor at PageComputer. It was a little cheaper than at Newegg, so I ordered it. Pricegrabber said it was in stock there. When I went to PageComputers' site, it also claimed it was in stock. I ordered on Aug. 15, and on Aug 17 all I had to show for it was an initial confirmation, but no tracking number. So Thursday morning I tried to contact Page by their web chat mechanism. It said no agents were available, so I left a message in the resulting form. That night, I had no reply, so this morning, I tried again. Still no response from the web chat, so I again asked for a status in the message form. So far, my order status on the page said only "Received" (as in my order had been received).
So this afternoon (Aug. 19) I call Page. The rep tells me that they emailed me on Wednesday (the 17th) to let me know my order was cancelled, as they did not have the monitor in stock and had no ETA. So, while on the phone with her, I log into their web site, and see that the order still says "Received" instead of cancelled. *And*, worse yet, the Samsung monitor is listed as "In Stock" in the store. I bring this to the attention of the rep, and she says that the system says that it is not in stock. Then she mentions that they have been having some problems with the system. I mention to her that I received the initial confirmation, so it seems a little strange that I did not receive the cancellation message. I don't think a spam filter grabbed it, because I have done plenty of business with them before.
No longer, though, as they cannot be trusted to accurately represent what is in stock and what is not. Which means, I could have tried to order more, and I get the feeling it would have let me, and then it would be another story about me being emailed with notice of cancellation. Even though, as I previously stated, the status still says "Received". This conversation occurred sometime around 2:00PM - 3:00PM EST. It is now 6:00PM EST as I type this, and they still list the 997DF/TT as In Stock!!! And my order still says "Received"!!!. They used to have a function where you could check real time status. That no longer exists, apparently.
So, strike a vendor from my list. A total shame, as they were previously reliable (if a little slow)."
"Purchased a RAID card here. Decent price (but not great) for a hard to find model.
Was shipped and received in a reasonable amount of time. Not too fast, not too slow.
Arrived in good condition. HOWEVER, was NOT retail boxed, but OEM in a static bag only. While this isn't a problem in this instance, it was NOT mentioned on the website as OEM.
As a final gripe, the price dropped $20 2 weeks after purchasing the card. Of course, this is the curse of buying computer equipment.

It turns out that the card was defective. It couldn't hold and format anything from a single drive to the full 5-drive RAID-3 array. Returned the card for a REPLACEMENT.
The website offers FREE replacements for defective merchandise.
The card was shipped back and RECEIVED on 9/8. By 9/15 there has been no update and no replacement product. I tried to contact their "online" service department, but only Sales was available, so I emailed for an update.
By 9/22 there was still no reply or update on the RMA request. I had to call their NON-toll free number for support.
After a total of 24 minutes on the phone over 2 calls (the first call was disconnected in the middle of the call) I received a promise for a call back with an update. The call never came.
On 9/23 I sent an email stating if I didn't receive an update regarding the replacement or a refund by 9/24 I would contact my credit card company and have the charges contested/reversed.
Finally on Sat 9/24 I received an email (never did receive the call back) stating the refund would be processed. (they apparently no longer carry the product, so I couldn't get the replacement I needed 2 months earlier)
The refund finally reached my credit card on 9/27 MINUS the shipping charges. Fortunately they were only about $7. I'm taking that as a lesson not to go back.
(1) The product was shipped OEM even though it wasn't labeled as OEM on the website.
(2) The product was shipped with an obviously COPIED driver CD (paper stick-on label and everything). This CD was unreadable by any of my computers.
(3) The "online" contact for support never worked.
(4) No toll-free number to contact the company.
(5) No reply to emails.
(6) Even though they have a very acceptible RMA policy, it is EXTREMELY slow and the customer must push the process on.
(7) Unable to ship replacement product...back to square one.
(8) Did not issue full refund even though the item was defective and they were unable to issue a replacement.
Add it all up and I will NOT go back to this company for any future purchases.
BUYER BEWARE, especially considering the non-factory, obviously copied CD-R driver CD."
