"I have a regular raise.com customer and I have purchased over 30 gift cards.
Last year on 08/20/15 and 06/16/15, I bought two red lobster gift cards. I checked the balance of the gift cards once I received them and they were fine. When I tried to use them a couple of months ago (January of 2016), I found out the accounts have been closed a week after my purchase (I called the red lobster gift card center). Raise didn't refund my expenses because they said they are out 100-Day Guarantee. I don't recommend Raise.com"
"I had a problem with the gift card they sent me. Raise was very nice about it, was incredibly responsive and immediately refunded my money. Could not have been happier with the way they handled it."
"Decided to try Raise.com this year but so far they've dropped the ball on 5 out of 6 orders. Apart from gift cards mysteriously vanishing out of the shopping cart, on the last two attempts to place an order the payment was charged but then subsequently cancelled. No explanation was provided on the first cancellation then this week my wife ordered a gift card and was met by a demand from customer service to verify her account. This of course after already submitting payment for the order. She is decidedly not a fan of dealing with business nonsense over the phone and Raise customer service offered no assistance via email. It might be a positive sign that Raise takes security seriously but having to monitor the credit card to ensure cancelled charges go away defeats any small savings. All of these failed orders are bizarre considering that our very first order went through without any trouble or after-the-fact hoops to jump through. Additionally is was an odd surprise to discover that the Raise.com store does not allow any orders to take place when connecting to the site from outside the USA. Not a member of the world wide web it seems. Saving a little extra is vital these days but none of these troubles were encountered on similar gift card discount sites.
BOTTOM LINE: Expect Cancelled Orders / Zero Support When Outside USA / Unclear Verification Requirements / Savings Not Worth Extra Hassle"
" I had to clarify a customer support issue with Kyle and she was so helpful and friendly, also extremely quick following up with emailed info. As a first time user of this site, I highly recommend it!"
"Love this site, have already saved over $1000 in physical & electronic gift cards, or in-store credit gift cards. Savings can can range from 0% - 90%. Also a great place to sell your unwanted GC as well. Mobile App is so easy to use to purchase cards to your mobile wallet immediately and for immediate use. 100 day guarantee, but always check the balances upon receipt. Sometimes the original seller spent part of the value, or no balance, but Raise customer support is very helpful and your original price paid is fully refunded/credited. Also they have a very good security system regarding your personal information when calling to access your account info or mobile pass-code reset. So Happy I came across this site almost 2 yrs ago."
"I had purchased twenty $100 Ebay gift cards at one time. When I went to use them three of them had no value. I contacted Raise.com on 2/6/2016 about the issue and there customer service rep, Angel stated that I would have either a refund or replacement cards within two days. On 2/9/2016 I got an email from someone named Spencer which stated it would take between 10 to 14 business days. I've spoken with customer service reps three times and a supervisor once about the issue and they always tell me that they need to call Ebay. Its now 3/6/2016 and I still don't have a response. It doesn't take an expert to figure out that their ripping me off and have no intention of reimbursing for the bad gift cards."
"I was having trouble redeeming my gift card as the card number (account number) wasn't working; however Eliot was very helpful in solving the issue. The pin number was the actual card number, so it was an easy fix. Thank you so much!"
"Please be caredful when you buy a gift card from raise.com. I bought a Homedepot gift card (a few hundred) from on 3 Mar'15 due to renovation work. I bought too much and did not use it till in Feb'16. I was told that there is no more balance on the gift card. The transaction history indicated that the unauthorized transaction was done on 30Jun'15., just after the 100days raise.com warranty their gift cards. The system is prone to fraud by criminals who sell on raise.com and 100days later try to use them or resell again.
Is raise.com doing anything to prevent this from happening? Thanks.

"I use the Raise website frequently. It is a great marketplace for buying and selling gift cards. I usually am a buyer. The only negative thing I've experienced is that it occasionally takes longer (over two weeks) to receive the physical gift cards in the mail. If I could pick one area that I would like them to improve upon, that would be it. The customer service team is very helpful as well."
"Raise generally has very pleasant customer service reps, but unfortunately that doesn't override poor delivery of product. I ordered from Raise twice. Was promised my Petsmart cards in up to 14 days. First time too 1 month. Customer rep was very pleasant and responsive but didn't change anything. Second and last time I will have ordered Petsnart card, I had same promise if up to 14 days. After finally reaching a customer rep In late February, I was given delivery update that is was at the post office on 2/6 (3 weeks earlier) pending delivery. The rep simply said "please let us know when it's received". Seriously??? I demanded a refund. No response until I finally reached a live person. She said I would have to wait 30 days from shipping to call back for refund. I did in fact get full refund, but due to their unreliable service, I can't see using them ever again. "
"I purchased 2 gift cards which had high amounts on them but when I went to use them, 0$ !!!
I felt ill!! So I calmed myself and called Raise customer service. They were so helpful and took care of it without any difficulties. There is a 100 day guarantee which they obviously stand by!
A very satisfied customer!"
"I've purchased more than $15,000 worth of cards on the RAISE platform since October 2015 (@ 100 transactions) and have been a victim of fraud nearly 20 times. Until recently I wasn't too concerned because as long as I reported it to RAISE I would get a full refund (although sometimes it took 4-5 weeks). However, now that some of the vouchers I purchased are close to 100 days or older I'm finding that RAISE is really just enabling these criminals in their schemes as they deny my request for a refund and leave me with the almost impossible task of trying to track down the thief (while RAISE keeps their profit on each of these transactions). In the latest incident, I spent $190 for a $250 voucher at Ruth's Chris. On day 98 the voucher was used in full by someone other than me, I reported the theft, yet RAISE denied my refund request. I've asked them to reconsider but have not heard back. My advice: if you've experienced similar instances of fraud using the RAISE platform report it here so others will know and can see how prevalent the problem is (and whether it merits a class action suit to recover the illicit gains by RAISE and influence them to implement stronger standards of qualifications for their sellers). "Shane was very helpful in assisting me with gift card issue. He promptly ensured that everything will be fixed and that all my questions were answered. Very personable and easy to talk to. Thank you so much Shane! "
"I purchased three Starbucks eGift cards. I tried them the day I received them and none of them had any value. I immediately contacted raise.com for a refund. They said it would take 10-14 days for a refund. It has been 16 days. I contacted raise.com and they told me they need more time to investigate the problem. What is there to investigate? They sold me bad cards!
I doubt I will ever see a refund/credit (unless I contact my credit card company to dispute the charge... which I am likely to do). "
"I call customer service about my account. Shane was very fast in resolving my problem. Shane is an asset to the Raise Family. I highly recommend Raise and their Customer Service representatives."
