"After purchasing a gift card for Christmas, my wife went to the store in question, spent two hours picking out what she wanted, got up to the counter to pay, and the gift card had a $0 balance! I though this would be a horrible process of having to get a refund as it is a gift card, but to my surprise raise.com support staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They apologized and issued a refund to my credit card. Kudos on your excellent customer service experience!"
"WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! This company steals your money. They do not care about you, just about your money. No matter how many gift cards you have purchased or how long have you been a customer, they WONT CARE. If you purchase a gift card by mistake, they will KEEP YOUR MONEY. Even if you call them right away, they won't answer your call neither your messages. Avoid this like plague "
"Very impressed with the customer service!"
"Its natural to feel wary when you first try this out. Will my card really work? Is this a hustle? will the balance be right. Well, let me tell you my experience. I have been a Raise customer for a year and a half now. I have ordered 28 times (more cards than that) and spent over $3700 with Raise. I have saved a MINIMUM of 10%. so i have gotten a $400 RAISE!!! I have ordered on line cards, in store cards physical cards and e cards (my fav). I had never been turned down in store with any of these cards. BUT...finally it happened. I had a card that i got 25% off and it was over $200. Hello! Awesome!! But it only worked once. Then it failed. Don't know why. but the good news is, I didn't have to know why. Because Raise is AWESOME! They checked it out, saw the transactions and immediately refunded my money. AND all done online so no phone calls, no waiting on hold, no transferring to 5 diff people and explaining your situation over and over. Just results. Hooray Raise. You guys rock! Especially Authur, Suzy and Lucy!"
"Raise is my go to site for buying gift cards. I bought over $1500 gift cards without a problem. I do convert them to the retailer's gift card right away. Retailer I buy cards for currently allows you to buy a gift card with a gift card. Many don't. I would be nervous that my balance could be used by the original owner before I can use it. On another GC site 25% of the GC purchased already had a zero balance when received. Knock on wood, I have never had that problem with Raise. It would be nice if their vouchers had a barcode. Also I would like to be able to set up favorites or have it remember what gift cards I buy most often. I only buy one retailers GC's & have to go through the search process every time."
"When I encountered dead card, it took Levi about 2 minutes to research it, and issue a refund.
It is a great way for me to maximize my purchases."
"I spoke with Naevia today about an issue with one of my cards and she was very friendly and helpful with assisting me. She was able to resolve my issue and allow me to leave the conversation fully satisfied with all her results. Thank you so much for hiring customer service employees such as, Naevia."
"I tried using this service once a year ago and received a card that had no balance on it. I was eventually able to get a credit for this, but not without a hassle. As I had used a competitor's service dozens of times without a single glitch, I decided not to use the service again. I decided to try again this year. I tried placing an order for a card. The next day I received an email saying that there was a problem with my order and that I needed to call customer service. I did so right away. The CSA I spoke to told me that this was a security check as my account had been inactive for so long. I verified all of my info with them and was assured the order would be processes. After a couple of hours I received an email saying that the order had been canceled with no explanation. I phoned CS again and was told that there must be a "glitch" in the system and was advised to try placing the order again. I tried again and received the same result. I phoned back again sure that someone in CS would take care of me, but instead their solution was that I cancel my account, set up a new account and try and place the order again. Obviously they don't have their act together and place very little value on my time. I asked to speak with a supervisor and he said he could do nothing for me. He even sounded irritated with me. I highly recommend you not use this service unless you want the same hassles. "
"Bought a $100 Express gift card for around $76. Delivered in under a minute and then used successfully on Express.com on the same day."
"I had an issue with one of my orders from Raise. I called the customer service number provided on their website. The issue was resolved quickly. I will not hesitate to purchase through Raise in the future. I will recommend this company to others looking to buy discount Gift Cards."
"My Panera card that i bought was zeroed out by someone and I brought it to the notice of Raise.
Raise offered to reimburse the amount that was stolen after the applicable discount. The customer service was prompt and efficient since the offer was followed up with an email. The 2 stars are for the customer service.
However I have lost faith in these mode of transactions. Even though i understand the risks involved in such deals, there is little protection offered in terms of securing the gift card information once it has been purchased. A fraud was committed but seemingly little that the middle man Raise or the Vendor Panera can do about it. "
"Their customer service is horrible! horrible is understatement. "
"So, on December 29th, I order 2 Ebay cards at a 5.1% discount. When I didn't hear anything from them within a day, I looked at my account at the raise.com site. Sure enough; nothing there indicating the purchase. However, when I check my Chase Visa account, there was a pending charge for the $94.90 which was the amount of the charge. When contacting Raise, I was told there was nothing they would do about getting me the cards I had purchased, but if the charge didn't "drop off" within a few days, I should call back.
So, after a couple of emails, Raise personnel did make an attempt to "make nice" The fact that they, at least, made an effort to resolve this problem is a positive. I have completed another purchase from Raise with no problems. "
"Evie was GREAT! She was professional, courteous and most of all she solved my issue!"
"Great experience. Customer service was great - very fast, very friendly. I will continue to use Raise, especially when I know I'll be making a purchase at a specific store.
