"You've been warned. They have a system to ship incorrect parts with certain manufactures that they know are incorrect. So then when you find out incorrect, they WILL NOT fully refund. This occurs with lower priced items so it will likely not be returned because of buyer must also pay shipping costs. It is a very clever scam to got rid of cheap parts that don't fit anything....."
"Rockauto no longer offers customer service over the phone. Have a minor issue with the clips (hardware included with brake calipers). Online help only offers returns for solution and which is a lot to go through for simple hardware kit that they offer and could ship to me. Rob email was ridiculous just directed me to website. Used to love them but will either use another site or parts store. Used to love rock auto but no more."
"Bad seller. They didn't refund shipping charge."
"My vehicle (Camry 2010).
I used RockAuto.com Website to find the front rotors for the vehicle and ordered/purchused what was suggested (by the Website).
Well, when the parts arrived, the technical confirmed the rotors are different and do not fit the vehicle.
The RockAuto.com customer service told me it was my mistake I purchused the part their Website suggested. Hmmmmm.
Consequently, I was asked to pay for the SH of the wrong part back to their warehouse.
I am not returning anything to them nor I will contact them ever. Lessons learnt.
It was only after the fact I googled and it seemed I was not the only one. Mistakes like that (they send wrong parts and ask customers to pay for return shipping costs) happen frequently.
Even if they would give me parts free now, I would refuse to take them. I would not touch RockAuto.com with a ten-foot pole."
"Ordered 2 complete struts. One was fine the other was used and opened by another customer and retaped. The Fedex label of the original customer was still on the box, covered up but you could still read their name and address. Why send this out like this when I have my car on jack stands. Very Very Very poor "

"Rockauto is a total joke if you have an issue. The only way to contact them is though email, they have no phone number and even if you give them your number they will not call you. Do yourself a favor and buy from your local auto parts store, it’s hard to put a price on customer service. Rockauto owners/management should read these reviews and take a hint. Keep **** off your customers and eventually they will all go away!"
"I bought a strut & shock kit for a 2005 Town & Country. The price was good, but when I went to install the parts upon opening the box, it was clear that the front struts had been installed previously. Not only just installed, but USED on the road. There was corrosion on the top bearing plate and mild rust where the bolts cut through the paint at the attach points. NO WHERE in the product description was it stated that these were used parts. The rear shocks were new.
I've purchased from Rock Auto for many years and have always been satisfied, but this purchase is unbelievable!
Yeah, good luck getting customer service. Total SCAM."
"I am a long time purchaser of Rock Auto Parts. to give you an idea, i just counted 127 magnets on my file cabinet. about 60 days ago, they said I am not tax exempt, and need to provide my tax id license, which I did, and federal resale sales license as I am an auto repair facility. they denied my tax exempt status. I can't pay tax, and than tax my customer - that's twice on one sale. Rock auto has no customer service hotline, and no way to talk to or explain my issue. Sorry no longer doing business with them !!!

"Sent my parcel to the wrong address
( you guys should’ve just put the right address in the example box ) now I have no idea if it’s being sent to the right people and I just paid 50 for the shipping hopefully it finds it way to the actual address where it’s suppose to go not a fake address on the sheet"
"Pos company has no live people to talk to. my return is messed up and cant get help to fix the problem. if you call the automated phone service tells you there's a live help online that is not there. Never again will I use RockAuto"
"I purchase a radiator for 03 Honda Odyssey a failed in 70 days no customer service number the part has a 2-year warranty. So they want me to purchase the same radiator ship them the broken one and they will reimburse me for shipping and all.WHATTTT!! **** YOU ROCK AUTO "
"I purchased a Honda Accord window regulator kit that arrived in a sealed box and I gave unopened box to my mechanic to install. They installed it and the part was defective as the window would not close all the way. Mechanic said it was a defective part. My mechanic charged me $150 to install this regulator and had to uninstal it and put in my old one so I paid to install Rock auto defective part. They could not ship me new part as it was out of stock and even if in stock it takes a few days turnaround and car cannot sit in the shop. Pay retail and skip this company. They do not have good quality control over their cheap Chinese part suppliers. Beware I’m out $150 now and have to start process all over again. The folks at Rock Auto could care less that I paid the $150 to install and then uninstal their defective part."
"My first and probably last order from RockAuto. My wiper linkage broke on my 2007 Honda Fit, and they listed a "CARDONE SELECT 858558LK {#76530SLNA01} Windshield Wiper Linkage" at a reasonable price, so I ordered it. It is about 2.5 inches too wide. I checked O'Reilly online, and they list the same part. Do they all subscribe to the same parts database, so that the error is propagated by all parts retailers. I took the part to my local O'Relly store, and a veteran employee verified that it is wrong. My main beef is that I cannot talk to a RockAuto customer service rep (apparently they have none), and the only options for return online force me to reorder the same part, or pay for return shipping myself. "
"My reply (below) to them when I was told I needed a repair estimate for a dented hood I recieved from rockauto.com after I sent all the photos requested;
It's very disappointing to hear this is how your company handles damaged products. I will not purchase from you again.
You can clearly see the damage that is on the hood in my photos. I have spoken to R&L freight; they stated they were waiting to hear from you. Disappointing as well on their part if they disregard a claim because I dont have an estimate from a body shop.
I dont have time to go out find a body shop, bring my new dented up hood to them, get an estimate for it stating it's not repairable, get it back to you, with what vehicle do you I expect me to do this with? I do not have a pick up truck available to me. I'm telling you, as the customer that I received damaged product with photos as proof.
The only reason I accepted the freight delivery from them with out seeing the hood first was because R&L freight missed 2 scheduled delivery appointments, as well as miss loading my hood onto the wrong truck causing it to travel across the country not once but twice (SEE ATTACHED TRACKING). All taking 14 days. I have lost enough money over this (ie. Rental vehicle, cancelled auto repair appointments). If you can't replace the hood with the proof I've provided then I've heard all I need. I will find a different solution.
Maybe y'all should look into a different freight company."
