"Desktop pc with Windows 10, and Outlook 2010. The old Outlook app stopped working for me 4 days ago, and is no longer supported by Microsoft (even tho they did try to help me). When I finally got through all the instructions, it turned out that somehow the purchase had been switched to Office 365 Home/Business.
Reading through the emails more closely there was certainly a warning to check that the correct product was sold and that nothing could be done about the "switch" after I had finally handed my license to Microsoft.
This seems to me to be a purposefully misleading mistake to foist the 365 product on customers that have no desire to own it.
I feel like in my hate, I ended up wasting my money."
