would not purchase this protection plan again

"1) called square trade for unusual refrigerator noise - instead of sending someone out they had me
turn breaker switch off for 24 hours (which means food had to be tossed out since we did not have
another refrigerator to store food- took some to neighbor but they only had a little room for us to
use) - said this was a manual defrost
2) after 24 hrs - still made noise - not as bad but they heard it over phone and said to now send a video
and download - I said Forget It. - get someone out here - don't have me go through all these hoops
3) they said ok - told me they send some parts and I'd be contacted by service provider
4) service provider made appt to come out and said I'd be called that morning as to 2 hr window - my
email from square trade indicated appt would be 8-12 am
5) parts came - I called service provider morning of appt and they said they'd be out 4-6pm - I
said what do you mean 4-6 - - - my email said 8-12 - they said square trade does that all the time
and makes a time that is not accurate
Conclusion: I cancelled appt with them and called square trade to let them know too - also
noticed that the service provider they had contacted to come out had absolutely Terrible google
reviews - nearly all 1 star -
- Square Trade needs to get their act together and sure as heck should never have service providers
they use with such terrible reviews - as such I Do Not recommend purchasing a warranty with
Square Trade

Still have not gotten reimbursement honored

"I have been waiting on a month for Squaretrade to confirm my technician that repaired my washer. I am in the process of going forward and making a complaint to BBB and go to small claims court. After numerous calls talking to about 10 supervisor no body has helped me. "

Website difficult, phone in for claims did not work, chat was it.

"I just could not gain access to my protection plans off their website, there was something coded on page that blurred over my plans and while I could see placeholders for around 5 plans, I could not view any of them nor could I initiate a claim. The first agent calling in claimed to be setting up my claim, an email arrived asking for documents, I submitted documents and nothing progressed after a few days. So I used their chat option off the website that would work for me, they had option to upload items and added requested proof there and they took care of me. My only real gripe in this is that they refunded me via a Walmart gift card instead of issuing a check, I would have preferred not to have to buy items when I already had to buy my son a new phone out of pocket again... I spent the money over a month's time and now the survey pops asking opinion, 4/5 is generous, more like 3/5 for the 2 issues,.."

Fitbit Luxe

"When I bought my Fitbit Luxe, I also bought an extended warranty. My Fitbit stopped charging in August of 2024. So I started a claim on line. It took a while on my part, because my husband entered the hospital and subsequently passed away. But once All State had all my information, and a receipt, they ask me to send in the Fitbit Luxe to see if it could be repaired. They sent me a shipping label, I took it down to Fed Ex and shipped it off. They got it in about 3 days and they kept me up to date on the Fitbit. After they told me they had received it, I heard from them within 5 hours, telling me it could not be fixed and there would be a check in the mail for me. Well, within a week I had my check! So, very good customer service!!"
