"LIARS! Worst service ever and agents obviously trained to lie!!! All day I have been calling about a shipment I paid extra for to be delivered to me today and every agent told me it was for sure going to be delivered today. I waited until 8:30, nothing delivered. The UPS store in Northbrook, IL, had my item since yesterday and they closed at 8:45 today. I called at 8:35 and was put on hold for about 10 minutes and later the agent told me how much she apologizes for the delay but she said "don't worry I just investigated the issue and it will be delivered to you today. The truck had a lot of items but it's on it's way to you" I told her the store closes at 8:45 and she assured me again that it will still be delivered to me even if they close. WHAT?! Now at 1:30 A.M. With my shipment still not delivered, an agent picked up and told me that an unexpected problem just magically appeared on their system this moment I called and told me my package won't be delivered until Monday. All with an attitude!! Why are YOU giving me an attitude when it's MY package that I need for tomorrow that's not delivered?!?!?!?! Worst service ever!!!!! I asked the website I ordered from to give me options next time and I really hope they do. This was not the website's issue because the day I ordered the item it was on its way to me. UPS SUCKS. "
"So I paid for next day air service- over $17 with all the 'fees' and it cost more than the paper document I ordered. 2 days later it was supposed to come and it was the end of the day and I finally got an email saying the new day of delivery was for the next day! This happens often. UPS SUCKS AND I HATE HAVING TO USE THEM WHEN THERE IS NO CHOICE. WITH ALL THE MONEY THEY MAKE, THEY CAN'T DELIVER ON TIME. AND THE WAY THEY TREAT THEIR EMPLOYEES IS SHAMEFUL! Wish I could pick 0 STARS! Then when you try to find a place to comment, it's way at the bottom where is says 'contact us' and they only give the #800 number which puts you on hold for a loooong time! "
"Warning to anyone sending packages overseas, especially to China: DO NOT USE UPS! Their packages all go through a crazy long and complex import process resulting in at least a 2 week delay and paying heavy customs fees. It is absolutely ridiculous to have to pay $30.00 to receive a care package sent to me for my birthday from my family containing a few special treats from home, like pictures my nieces and nephews drew, my favorite candy, and cards from family members. Other services such as United States Postal Service and FedEX have never had these kinds of problems, but each of the 3 times in 7 yrs that someone used UPS to send me something it resulted in long delays and crazy customs fees. Do not use UPS to ship anything to China!"
"I SWEAR THEY STOLE YOUR MONEY AND YOUR PACKAGE!
Do not ship any package with UPS. THEY CHARGE U FOR SHIPPING, THEN THEY OPEN YOUR PACKAGE, STOLE YOUR ITEM, THEN TELLING YOU THAT BECAUSE YOU DID NOT PACKE YOUR PACKAGE IN A IN REASONABLE WAY WE RETURNED IT TO THE STORE THEY RETURNED EMPTY BOX."
"UPS lost a very valuable package that was tracked the whole time until it arrived at the Laurel distribution center in MD. Somehow this huge, costly item is nowhere to be found. The guaranteed delivery was Friday the 24th, evening by 8pm. I am writing this on Monday afternoon the 27th. We have been on the phone with UPS all day and have driven to the location that states our package is available for pick up. Nevermind the guaranteed delivery--apparently they decided to skip it this time to make us pick up an item they don't have. We are leaving the country tomorrow morning; the package was to enable us to bring our family pet with us. We have no options to get a rushed new item, or even able to buy the specific item in a store. They completely screwed us over, and Amazon is going to open an investigation on them for "misplacing" our expensive item. Amazon has also issued us a refund because of UPS mishandling our package. I forever trusted and relied on UPS before this incident. I've even worked for the company seasonally and was thoroughly impressed with their business model. The UPS customer service and people in Laurel have been zero help in making the effort to find our item or holding whoever is responsible for handling the package. I now officially only trust FedEx to deliver things on time and when they guarantee. "
"UPS has great costumer service, shipping times, and technical uses. Yesterday I ordered some clothes and I got them delivered to my house not even 24 hours later."
"UPS Customer service is absolutely USELESS! Paid for next day air, waited for delivery which was guaranteed by 8:00pm. Called first thing in the morning because it showed the local hub was open from 9:00am to 1:00pm on Saturday. Now remember it was GUARANTEED to be delivered by 8:00pm the previous day. The USELESS customer service claimed there was no way to get ahold of anyone to PICK-UP the package that was GUARANTEED to be delivered the previous day. Who wants to use a business that is as big as UPS that basically tells you "to bad for you we screwed up but it's your problem not ours". UPS can kiss off I definitely won't ever use them to ship and if I have a choice of carriers for delivery, I definitely won't choose UPS and their COMPLETELY WORTHLESS CUSTOMER NON-SERVICE!"
"I moved from Illinois to Washington recently. I paid over a hundred dollars to have my 1924 stand-up record player shipped, worth $800. I paid extra because I used bigger boxes and padded all around it with 2.5-inch foam padding that was double wrapped in more susceptible places like the top and bottom. It arrived with the top completely caved in, a leg broken off, the back broken off, and the mechanics destroyed. I filed a claim online where I was told that someone would be sent to inspect it. UPS came two days later saying that a "pick-up" was scheduled... false. They did not say they were going to pick it up. So I went out and paid more money for more boxes just so they could inspect it. After saying that it was my own fault that my record player got destroyed and gave me nothing for it, they SENT IT BACK TO ILLINOIS! AND BROKE IT WORSE... So I'm the sucker that paid $200 so that UPS to make an antique record player turn into $800 fire wood."
"I was to receive a parcel that was scheduled for today. I waited all day for the package to arrive. When I herd a truck pull up it was the UPS driver. I looked off my balcony and watched the ups driver enter my building. I went back inside and waited for him to buzz. He never did. I went back outside and he was getting into his truck and drove off. When I went downstairs and opened my mailbox there was a notice that said I missed the package.
I opened my ups tracking (on the off chance that that driver and that package was not for me) and it updated and read "the company or receiver name is incorrect. This will delay delivery. We're attempting to update this information". Whatever that means. If my address was wrong, which it wasn't, why did he put the notice in the correct mailbox.
When I called the 1-800 number the gentleman on the phone kept repeating " I understand your frustration sir" over and over. Surely he does not understand my frustration. He did nothing to help me. He told me there was nothing he could do for me and that I could expect to have the package delivered next business day.
After waiting an entire day and put all my errands asside, the answer I received from UPS customer service was tough luck we will try again tomorrow.
Courier services are becoming more of a demand with more and more consumers shopping online. If a business like UPS wants to succeed in the future market they really need to step up their game.
This is not the first time UPs has done this to me. I've lived in a ground level home with no buzz and a door bell and the driver still just left a note on my front door saying he missed me.
There is no excuse for this. There was zero attempt to come up to my apartment and knock on my door. None.
I will avoid all business that use UPS as a courier. "
"At store #3717, Austin was very helpful. I sent a package to the wrong address in South Korea and needed it shipped back to me. He was able to get the package back within the week. He also sent me all the tracking information I needed and alerted me when the package was back in the United States. Keep up the good work!"
"UPS has some of the most terrible service. I'm sick of paying for next day or second day shipping and not receiving items on time. You pay extra for the faster delivery, and when you track your package on the "GUARENTEED" delivery date, they tell you your package has been delayed and give you a new date, usually 2-3 days later. I think they need to learn the definition of a GUARENTEE. I was having IV medication sent to me next day and they expire after 72 hours, so each time they were late it cost me $768 in medicine that had to be thrown out. This has happen four times, costing me over $3,000, plus shipping costs- none of which were ever reimbursed. They could at least refund the shipping cost when it is late. They are so rude and do not care. It's a shame that you do not have a choice when you order online with who it ships through, otherwise I would never use UPS ever again!!! If you can't guarantee a delivery date, then don't! Their customer service is also very poorly lacking. I have a prime membership yet almost every item I have ever ordered has been late. If you call customer service to complain they give you a whole song and dance about how it's not their fault. Maybe if it happened once or twice, you could blame extenuating circumstances, but when you were ordering 2 to 3 things every week for three years and probably 75% of them come late, I don't see how they can claim is not their fault. I hate UPS!!! Crooks. "
"I have never had such bad customer service in my life! I had an overnight package that was delayed due to bad weather in Kentucky. I contact them via phone to inform them the importance of this package (live saltwater coral) I was told by 3 different supervisors that it would be delivered Saturday. Nothing, called back and spoke to yet another supervisor. I was told there is nothing they could do and would have to wait until Monday. Thanks UPS, now all my live coral will be dead. I will not use UPS ever again by choice."
"WORST SHIPPING COMPANY I HAVE USED! I needed to deliver an important document urgently so I chose the most expensive UPS, which obviously was a huge mistake!
The driver didn't turn up for collection. After re-arranging it to be collected in the next day, nobody turned up again! No explanation from UPS whatsoever. How can service be that appalling?
I also don't understand why UPS doesn't give a specific time frame for collection. All it says is collection between 9am to 5 pm. UPS doesn't allow any communication between customers and drivers. So does it expect every customer to just wait home for a whole day for parcel collection and then realise that the driver will never turn up?
"
"Very bad company there full of liers there trained that way I think we live less then 1/4 of a mile from there sort facilities an can even get a package on time then they say out for delivery that's because they lost it an don't wanna pay up had to call an have it sent fedex never again will I by anything shipped ups would give a negative rating but stars don't go backwards "
"Worst shipping company ever. Drivers don't bother to knock on customers door or even leave a note saying they attempted to deliver your package.
Would not recommend to worst enemy. "
