"Horrible. Anyone vendor who uses them should run away. Poor excuse of a service. Had mail schedule to be delivered in a 50 mile radius. Today I see "Delayed. Due to operating conditions, your package may be delayed. / delivery will be rescheduled." What the hell is that suppose to mean? Good job."
"If you have a choice, certainly use FedEx, run from UPS as fast as you can. UPS does not claim any responsibility when packages don't get to where they are suppose to go, or be shipped the way you thought they'd be shipped. They certainly do not refund. The managers don't even want to listen and say 'I'm sorry, I'm sorry.... but really are not or they'd take some responsibility and/or refund the shipping"
"I sent a package in December and the contents were stolen and the thief left the box because the delivery driver put the box in the bushes. Apparently everyone is supposed to know that's what they do during the holiday time. Well it didn't work it was stolen because the package wasn't seen with where they put it. They sent a claim and denied it first because "the package was delivered, technically." I call about reopening the claim, they deny it again saying they can't investigate the box because it was thrown away. Again NO ONE told me to make sure he keeps the box for inspection. Normally when you find a torn up box you throw it away. This whole thing is because of UPS putting it in the bushes and then not informing us to hold onto the box. So now I'm losing out on around $140 mainly because UPS put it somewhere instead of on the porch so it wasn't found right away. Thank you UPS for your great customer service. I'll be sure to use FedEx from now on. "
"My wife's cancer medication is provided to us by an American Specialty Pharmacy with overnight delivery.
The medication is shipped from the UK.
This shipment was ordered on Jan 26 for delivery on Jan 27. The label clearly stated that the package contains chemotherapy drugs.
When it failed to arrive, the tracking said:
"We've incorrectly sorted the package at our facility. This may cause at least one business day delay"
The package was finally delivered after a full week!! instead of overnight.
No excuse, no effort to expedite the package.
What a way to treat a package a human being depends on!
"
"I sent out a package that had breakable items, packed very well. I ship breakable items frequently. This package was never marked fragile as requested. My customer received shipment with everything shattered. I purchased insurance on this & UPS DENIED my claim stating that it was improperly packaged. I paid for this service & they refuse to reimburse me!! Now i am put of my product & my money. I will NEVER use UPS again. I never have a problem with USPS. Beware! !!!!"
"I shipped my packages from louisiana to Baltimore 11/2015. One package never made it and the others had been opened and there were items missing from it. After a two month back and forth battle between the local shipping store and the ups company, the only paid me for the box that never arrived. They blamed me for having holes in my boxes. My boxes we brand new purchased from home depot and the local store manager agreed with me that the boxes were in great shape when i sent them. I heard that ups had thieves working for them but this is ridiculous. My aunt just relocated and asked me who should she ship with. I told her that if she values her belongings save money and rent a uhaul and drive. At least her things will get there."
"I used to love UPS because they have never screwed up any of my orders and were always on time, but things have definitely gone south. I ordered quite a large package from Bath & Body Works, I kept tracking the package and the day of- I was sitting by the door the whole night waiting on this package. I checked my tracking again, and this time it said "12/30/15 7:24pm The receiver does not want the product and refused delivery." I sat there in shock and disbelief, I had been WAITING the whole evening for that package & all of the sudden it says I refused delivery? I immediately called their customer service to change it, the lady told me that she would have some guy call me the following week to reschedule a delivery., I didn't think that made sense because it was a Wednesday (the day this happened). So I asked her if I could pick it up at a local UPS store near me- she said no. I asked to speak to her manager and they said that they would have it shipped back to me the next week. I had the tracking order, next week rolls around.. I check my tracking status the day of the "delivery". It says "Information unavailable. To: Louisville, KY, US" I live in Florida, so I know that's not right. I called customer service AGAIN and spoke to their manager, he told me that it had been in Tampa for that whole week and was shipped to Orlando and then sent to TN then to KY. Basically, they lied to me and screwed up my order twice. I am not happy at all, they did not handle that well and treated me like I was stupid! I will never use UPS again, that was enough for me to change how I felt about them.
Also, they never ring your doorbell or knock on your door. They just leave your packages there so anyone can steal them. I've seen them drop a package off to my neighbors, they weren't home and 2 minutes later some guy grabbed it and walked away. They should seriously knock or ring a doorbell- that's extremely lazy in my eyes. It takes literally 5 seconds to do so.
I'm extremely unhappy and I hope this never happens to anyone, worst experience of all time."
"Fed Ex really needs to put UPS out of business. I was promised delivery of a 2-day air shipment on Dec. 30th by Close of Business. Package did not arrive. I called UPS customer service which said it was out for delivery for Dec. 31st between 1:15 and 5:15. It is now 4:30 on Dec. 31st and I called customer service once again and they tell me it will not be delivered until Monday, Jan. 4th. How can a logistics company run on such horrible ethics ??? This happens over and over. . . Fed Ex, this is your chance to step up and put them out of business !!!
If I could pick 0 STARS for this service that still would not be good enough to rate their POOR system"
"Never will I use UPS again. Phil, the owner of the UPS (store #0488 at Mission Bay Plaza) in Boca Raton, Florida is a liar & con-artist who only cares about his store's ratings & taking customer's money.
7/16/15 I shipped a large box by UPS from Florida to Arizona. I bought extra insurance on the package and asked several questions regarding the shipping process to make sure my package arrived safely. Phil, the store owner, helped me bring in the box from my car and provided extra tape on the box and wrote "Fragile". Accepting the package he told me "everything was good" so I left feeling secure I had Phil's word.
7/23/15 I received a notice that my package was damaged and they discarded some of the merchandise. I immediately ran over to the UPS store and Liana from the store called UPS. She told me I will be receiving the insurance plus the delivery fee.
7/27/15 I went back to the store. They said my claim was denied because I packed the merchandise myself and I did not pack it right. Despite initially being told "everything was good" & being confirmed to get a full refund by UPS they went back on their word. I said to Phil "Your store accepted the package and said it was fine". He told me UPS is not responsible for how they treat the package during delivery. When I asked him for proof & pictures that it was not packed right he said there were none.
After leaving UPS being scammed I sent a certified letter to the CEO of UPS, David Abney, only to never receive a response. I left several messages to the head office. No response. I put in a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. UPS did not respond back to them right away and they had to send out the complaint again. They finally responded that I needed to go back to the store (#0488) and work it out with them. The owner, Phil, said he will not help me because "It will downgrade his store and his ratings will go down with UPS". I was blown away at what he just said. An individual like this cannot be trusted and the company is just as guilty. They will accept your merchandise, your money, provide empty promises, and tell you exactly what you want to hear. Once anything in transit goes wrong though they will immediately point the blame to you and claim no responsibility. They offer you no proof or apology how/why your package was destroyed and even have the nerve to take your extra insurance knowing they will not reimburse you when something goes wrong. It is very clear that UPS does not care about their customers or reputation. What is more amazing is how they get away with it.

"If i could I would give it zero stars. I never had a problem with my deliverys from ups. But this time was way way out if it. I ordered off of a website (not gonna give the name) it said free shipping and 100% guaranty it will arrive before Christmas so by or before the 24th. So I order and that night it shipped out. I guess to ups or something. It doesn't ship out from ups for 5 days since it's been "shipped" finally it ships on the 22 of December. I'm thinking it better arrive before Christmas since that's what it said. Anyway to make a long story short, it's not come til the 29 which I don't need it than and I just waisted my time and money!!! I called ups customer service and I was finally able to get someone on the phone they told me that it's on its way and is in between the location were it left and to my place. He also told me that they can't deliver since it will be late and it's already Christmas eve. I told him it's fine that I'll pick it up. So when I checked at 5 pm again the location was not changed. I called ups again and they said that it hasn't even left the facility and that the trailer was in line to be unloaded. Um excuse me??? Why lie and get my hopes up when they new it wasn't coming. Of course I'm very upset. My hubby works at FedEx so I know how the system works. And during the holidays like right now there's no trailers waiting to be unloaded and in line. Never. Yes they receive more than 2,000 package a day and they unload everything and all trailers and there's no waiting. I knew I should have done the express shipping. I just figured why spend the shipping money when it will still come by the 24 and it's free shipping. I guess next time I'll trust my gut. "
"They lost my parcel, was shown delivered one day and a week later (after phoning several times) it showed that my address did not exist. So when I phoned in again, they said they could not locate my parcel. "
"Add me to the list of people who thought that UPS would understand: Take parcel, take money, deliver parcel. I wonder when their business model became: Take parcel, take money, hold on to parcel and wait until customer makes TWENTY-NINE phone calls (yes I counted) before moving parcel to next place it will be held until I CALL THEM. NO EFFORT AT ALL TO CONTACT ME.
I went to a UPS Store on the 20th to send a watch out to be repaired. First thing: UPS Store IS NOT UPS. You CAN NOT have your parcel sent to a UPS depot. Second thing: If you buy insurance, MAKE THE ATTENDANT WRAP THE PARCEL. If you bring it wrapped, they will happily take your money for insurance but they will ONLY return the cost of shipping if you make a claim.
Three days later, I look at tracking and find a red letter word "Exception" with no information. Call them and "Oh, we are waiting for the commercial invoice." (I watched the UPS Store guy tape the commercial invoice to the box). "Here is a fax number." I contact the UPS Store, who faxes it off. Several hours later, no change, so I call again. "Oh, we are waiting for the commercial invoice. Here is a fax number." I tell them it has already been faxed and they say "Oh, that is the wrong number, here is another number." I send it off again and again call several hours later. And call again, no change. "Oh, we are waiting for the commercial invoice. Here is a fax number." At that point, I say send it back to me. "Oh that is very hard to do, it is already in transit."
The next day, the status updates with a message that the package had been cleared IN MY CITY.
A week later, I check again. NOW it is being held in the US (I am in Canada) "waiting for clearance." I call them AGAIN
"Oh, we are waiting for the commercial invoice. Here is a fax number." At this point, I lose my cool completely and demand they return my property. An hour later, I get a call from a UPS broker. "I have a form you need to fill out to send your package on."
I admit it, I lost my cool completely and after being transferred to some other moron, my package is SUPPOSEDLY on its way back to me. At an additional fee of course.
When I demanded to be put through to their headquarters, each and every one of them tried to tell me that the headquarters has no phone number.
DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES USE UPS FOR ANYTHING"
"They tried to charge me $130 on a product that cost $99 at customs.
Obviously I expected to pay the value added tax for the country but they added a whole lot more that that for what is in reality, doing nothing. If a company is in the business of moving parcels around the World then they know exactly what happens in any given country at the customs phase. The responsible thing to do would be to let me know before I pay them for the shipping when they see the invoice value, they obviously know what will happen, a consumer has no experience, they do. Anyway I have ended up losing the product and any money I spent on the shipping, UPS were not helpful and basically have played a big part in stealing from me under the guise of fine print and playing ignorant."
"I don't think I have ever been so dissatisfied with ordering something online and having it shipped through UPS. I purchased a dress from an online site on Monday October 12, 2015. I paid for three day shipping (which thank goodness was only $9.00) because I purchased the dress for a wedding that was taking place on Saturday October 17, 2015. The company was quick to get my order sent out asap and I was supposed to receive my purchase on Friday October 16, 2015. I received an email Thursday evening (the evening before my order was supposed to be delivered to my home), stating that my delivery date had changed to Monday October 19, 2015.
I immediately got sour with the thought that I not only paid extra for expedited shipping, but that I would then also be out of a dress for the wedding I was attending. I contacted UPS and the representative I spoke with was of no help what so ever. I explained to her my situation and then let her know about the email I received from UPS My Choice, stating that my order was now being delivered on a different date. The rep stated she saw nothing indicating that my order was going to arrive on a different date and stated it should arrive on it's original date. I called the company in which I ordered my dress and the representative there was very kind and understanding. I let her know about the email I received and that I ordered the dress for the sole purpose of wearing it to a wedding; I then let her know if my order didn't come until the following Monday, that I would be mailing it right back to the company, as it would no longer serve it's purpose. She was very understanding and stated she would keep an eye on the tracking of my order.
Friday came and I had noticed the order had arrived in Massachusetts at approximately midnight, but that it had never left Mass. I called UPS and again, was told that I would receive my order this day (Friday Oct 16th). Come the end of the work day at around 5pm, the tracking hadn't changed. I called UPS one more time and finally got an answer. I let the representative I spoke to, know how unhappy I was and how I had been told by two other reps that my order would arrive on the day I had intended. I then let the rep know that from what I was seeing, my order had never left Massachusetts. She indicated that this was correct and that this was due to an issue with the delivery truck.....it had never been unloaded! I thanked her for finally giving me a straight answer and actually doing her job; in that she took the time to research for me, why my order was going to be delivered on a different day.
It is now Monday October 19th and I got confirmation that my order was finally delivered. Now I get the pleasure of going home, just to take the package back to the post office so that it can go back to the company in which I ordered it from. I will be refunded the extra money I paid for the expedited shipping and receive my full refund for my purchase, once the company receives my returned order.
Very, very dissatisfied."
"I find it very upsetting that I have an item leave it's original UPS shipping destination travel three states in about a day and a half then arrive at my local ups facility then I have to wait almost three days before I can get it delivered to my home which is only about 15 minutes from my home.
I call customer service to see if I could go pick up the item myself so I would not have to miss work and wait for the item to be delivered sometime during the day. The item is almost $800 so I have to make sure someone is present to accept the item. I was advised by a lady that did not really seem to care about my problem tell me that my item was inside a container and it wouldnot be unloaded until Monday morning and then placed on the truck tobe delivered.
Really my item only 15 minutes from my house will sit in a container for 2 and a half days before anyone.will remove it and put it on a truck then sent out to be delivered to me sometime that day.
Three states in a little over a day then almost 3 days from my local UPS facility to get to me only minutes away. I thought UPS was all about customers and getting their items to them in a timely manner. Does UPS not work 24 / 7????????
Unless the company I do all my purchasing from let's me change my shipper to who I want I will purchase elsewhere.
Guess timely deliveries really do not matter.
