"Worst service i had i Pay 3 DAy shipping and I waited and waited and nothing theta STOLD MY MONEY !!!! BECAUSE UPS DID NOT DELIVERD ON TIME AND MESS UP EVERYTHING FOR ME !!! I WAS LIÉ TO THIS IS NOT A COMPANY I CAN TRUST!!!"
"If there was a way to put 0 stars only!
I have received packages only few times using UPS. But there were problems every time and had to re-schedule every time.
Few years ago after waiting a week, I checked tracking and saw that the driver entered "address does not exist" to tracking. I called and re-scheduled a delivery, they first wanted to deliver between 4pm-6pm but nobody appeared that day. When I re-scheduled again, I have explicitly told them to NOT come at 8:00am (and I even repeated it several times on the phone) because I have a doctor's appointment but any other time is just fine. What do you know, the driver calls me at exactly 8:00am and tells he is nearby and can deliver the package. I was late to my appointment because of this.
But today, apparently drivers do not even have phones. (what a setback!). I was trying to receive a package for over a week right now. First week, UPS did not even bother to leave a message that they had the package in Finland already. I had to contact to the sender company and they sent me a tracking number. What do you know...the package was in Finland for a week.
In the tracking page, I saw that they entered they are attempting to get a security code. This was because a door to my building is normally locked as usual in Finland. But I just couldn't understand exactly how they were "trying" anything since they never contacted me.
I contacted to the sender company and complained about this issue. The sender company, in return, told that they contacted UPS and gave my number and UPS will call me. The next day I receive letter (UPS sent it using regular mail since UPS can't deliver!) from UPS saying I can pick the package from Vantaa. I live in Turku and Vantaa is 180km away from my location! (and my girlfriend had a good laugh about the pickle I am in due to UPS even suggesting such action)
There was the other option of calling to UPS. Since I did not want to make a long distance call and wait on line for half an hour and pay for it because UPS screwed up, I told the sender company about the message UPS sent. They called from UPS next day after the sender company contacted them again!
On the phone, UPS person suggested that they will come between 4pm and 6pm and asked if the door can be unlocked. I asked if the driver can simply call me when he is at my building so I can come down to pick up the package. Shockingly, I learned that drivers do not have phones. (apparently they can't afford phones for some reason). Anyway I told them that we try and see what happens.
I was going to meet a friend, but after canceling it, I was in front of the building between 3:55pm (and even left the entrance door unlocked) till 4:30pm and nobody came. Then I went up and at the same time double-checked that the door was unlocked so UPS can come into building. After 6:05pm I checked the tracking page and I realized that they entered at 4:06pm that they tried to deliver but the door was locked. (it was impossible for them to be there without me seeing and door was unlocked).
I talked with a friend of mine and he also said he had similar issues with UPS. Based on this, I can not recommend anybody to use UPS if you are living at a residential address. I guess they may be able to find a way to enter to company buildings if they can find the entrance door, but if you are receiving to your home, STAY AWAY!"
"I have always missed deliveries from UPS even though I am at home. UPS guy left package once outside my house, somebody took and wallmart had to pay for my loss.
Now I dont trust UPS delivery guy so I scheduled a pick up from nearest UPS location. My request for pick up was accepted then after a day I get a notification that my shipment could not be delivered to the UPS location I selected so they sent it to the UPS location of their convenience.
Now, I have to take a subway and then the bus to reach at the location they have kept my shipment and its gonna cost me 8$ and 2 hours."
"If I could rate this company by not choosing a star and a word instead it would be an expletive! I would not recommend this business to anyone! They send you an email sting that your package will be delivered on a particular day. The receiver make arrangements to be home to accept the package only to find out near COB that they have decided to reschedule delivery the following day! Go back to old faithful (Rain, Shine, Sleet or Snow) the United States Postal Service. At least they'll reimburse you if your package didn't arrive on time.
UPS blows especially the so called customer service! They have not a clue..........Is it because they sent most of the jobs overseas and UNFORTUNATELY you get someone on the phone that you can barely understand."
"I didn't write this because of my first bad experience with UPS. It happened too many times and I had to find a place to let the world know about this company. Their service is among the worst and offers no solution for their mistake. I know stuff happens, I won't blame them for the bad weather but they don't seem to care and not willing to help fix the problem. Seriously the package is just 10 miles from my house and I paid 3 days shipping and ended up waiting for 6 days. Really?"
"I don't understand how this company operates!!! They are the WORST IN CUSTOMER SERVICE. THE WORST! They are unclear and their system for updating requests is a DELAYED SYSTEM and UPS offers no recourse other than "im sorry for the confusion"....My package was delayed due to weather. The cust service rep on friday told me i could pick up my pckg on SAT. When I went to the facility, 25 miles from my house, i was told it was on the truck and still set for delivery for following Monday. My package didn't arrive Monday however because apparently I "called up there and requested it be placed on will call" which I DID NOT DO....their whole "communication " system sucks! I use them 3 times a month...NOT ANYMORE. Big freaking scam of a company who has a HORRIBLE customer service department..."
"I just shipped two boxes of dishes from Massachusetts to California. I put $250 of insurance on each box. One was delivered two days ago, with some breakage. I decided to track the other one and found that there was serious breakage, the broken dishes were discarded and the rest of the dishes were being shipped back to the staples store from which they were shipped. Had I not checked online tracking I would not have even known this. I called ups who said I needed to talk to staples. A lovely representative from staples looked into this and said that ups had already opened a claim and denied it because the dishes were wrap1ed in small rather than large bubble wrap! No one at staples had eve heard about this. The remaining dishes were repacked by ups and are back en route to staples. When I pick them up I will bring them over to fedex to reship. Ups is a bad company!"
"I had a time sensitive package to deliver to the government. I went to the UPS store in Ironwood mall in Richmond, BC, and picked the date to ship as the scheduled arriving time was exactly the date I wanted. But the envelop was not delivered on the scheduled date and end up returned back to me. Shocked and disappointed, I had to redelivered the envelop via the same UPS store again and paid more the 2nd time as I have the deadline to catch so I picked the express service (I was very close to miss the deadline because of their first mistake, which would cost a severe consequence).
Meanwhile I called UPS customer service line to complain as I have to ship twice because of their mistake. The rep promised her supervisor would call me back that day, well, that never happened. I asked the store for resolution, and the store replied to me that they are only franchise and I should deal with UPS customer service directly in order to get any refund. Since I got no response from calling, I wrote to the customer service instead. Another rep wrote a worthless apology letter and kicked the ball back to the UPS store I shipped. After I told her that the store wouldn't do anything about it, then she kicked the ball to the UPS store relationship department, said that customer service can't do anything about it as I shipped from a franchise. So I had to wrote again to the Store Relationship Dept, what a let down! After two attempts, I received NO response whatsoever, like a dead end! So many time and energy wasted back and forth by dealing with such a crapy service! I was let down by UPS all the way through, from the Store, the delivery service, the customer service and the store relationship dept. I was led to believe UPS and the Store use the franchise as the excuse to purposely ignore customer's complain so we can give up!
Nevertheless, I'm not giving up to share my very disappointing and frustrating experience about this company and the franchise store. I hope anybody who have the choice does NOT go through what I've been through. As for me, I'll say Good Bye to this company, Never use them again and tell all my friends and family about it as well."
"I've spent the last hour and half being pulled in circles by ups. I asked them to hold my parcel for pickup and they have it being sent to a different city miles away from me when there is a ups store 4 blocks away from me. I was told to call the customer service number and then was transferred to the call center where they couldn't do anything and was told that that's not what they do. I am seriously frustrated and will never use ups for shipments again!"
"Worst delivery service due to them stating adverse weather conditions but I'm getting packages that was ordered after the adverse weather problem. when you call them all you get it adverse weather conditions."
"I've called a couple times and have spoken with different people repeating the same issue of my lost package that was sent to someone else. Laptops aren't cheap. It was originally suppose to arrive on the 19th. Tracking showed it was out for delivery twice and then popped up the next day undeliverable due to weather? The streets were clear fed ex trucks were in the neighborhood where's ups with my package. a week later tracker says package delivered? Who the H### did you deliver it too, not me I'm a stay at home mom. I was home. Now there's an investigation. I've contacted Best Buy someone better fix it before I explode. Then today they stop by to take a package that was reported damaged? Noooo I don't even have my package idiots."
"Warning to UK customers - avoid UPS, if you do have to use them look very carefully at their charges - accuracy is not their strong point either and they seem to make it up as they go along when you try to get clarification and a refund for overcharged delivery fees. worst parcel service I've ever come across, totally untrustworthy, poor service, high charges and a very great risk of being overcharged `in error' Via ordinary UK post I would've been charged £8 Value Added Tax - UPS managed to turn that into a £36 charge - still fighting it now. I would agree with another reviewer - I'll think twice about buying from any company that uses UPS - if there's no alternative I'll take my custom elsewhere."
"I have had packages sent to me through UPS for many years and I will never want another package of mine sent through them again. I had a package that was supposed to be delivered to me on Jan 20, 2015 in the evening so it is dark out. As I am checking my tracking number online for the status I notice that that it said delivered. Well I am confused because no one knocked or rang my doorbell. I look outside and nothing. Then I go back online to check the message again and it said left at side door well my home does not have a side door. So I call UPS customer service and they tell me that they will send the driver back. When the driver gets here he pulls up to the house where he left the package and talk to them about the package, then he comes to my home and ask did I get my package. Well duh, no, if so I would not have called. If my neighbor saw it they most definitely would have given it to me. The driver does his little paperwork and this is where it gets interesting. Instead of him making note that he left it at the wrong house he puts down that the customer claims to not have received it to cover his hide. This makes it his word against mine now. So here it is one month later and I am still trying to figure out when will I be compensated for my package. The driver put my package at the wrong house and the manager is telling me to go and file a police report. How am I going to go and file a report for something taken off someone else'S property? I provided proof of pictures of my home and my neighbor's home to prove I do not have a side door and my neighbor does. I also showed pictures of my mail box with numbers and a reflective number plate and huge reflective numbers on my house. So a blind man can find my house and I am still being given the run around. This is after they closed my case 3 times and I had to have them re-open it. PLEASE DO NOT DEAL WITH UPS. YOUR PACKAGE WILL NOT BE HANDLED PROPERLY AND CUSTOMER SERVICE WILL TREAT YOU LIKE CRAP!!!!! "
"The only parce the parcle these guys know to do, is with your time. Lee (the only lee in the office) wouldnt even give me his boss name, not that he seemed ashamed at his awful demeaner. The y were more upset i knew their direct line which is 01322272731 ;) ......latest .. they just phoned now and said the reason i wouldnt get my package is that the driver was taken into hospital. very sad."
"UPS is the worst shipping company I've ever encountered. The people that work for them are utterly incompetent. What kind of person who has finished kindergarten would think it's a good idea to leave a package at the front door of an apartment complex; they're unbelievable. In the future if I'm buying an item online and I see that UPS will be handling the shipping of the item, I don't think it's worth buying."
