"Don't do business with Vitaglo.

Brief summary of my experience (full story below for those interested): The man who runs the store is rude and short on the phone. I was charged for items that were out of stock.

12 days later, having heard nothing from the store, I called them to see what was happening with my order. I was told one of my items was out of stock - when I asked which, the man went to look, came back and said it turned out all the items I had ordered were in stock and that they'd send them.

I said ok, but that I had an issue with their poor customer service. He rudely cut me off, spoke over me, and said there was no issue, either I wanted his items or not - if not, he would cancel them.

I cancelled my order. I called back a few minutes later to get a confirmation of the order's cancellation, and was told they don't do that (don't confirm the cancellation of orders) and the same rude man, I take it he was the owner, hung up in my face.

Moral of the Story: Don't do business with Vitaglo. They take your money, don't ship out your order (in my case it was almost two weeks that had gone by without them shipping my order or notifying me of anything), and do not apologize or listen to you when you confront them about their horrible customer service and shady business practices.



Full Story:

I ordered three boxes of protein bars on 9/20/09.
I paid by card and received confirmation of my purchase. The e-mail showed my transaction had gone through without any problem and stated " Most orders ship within 24 business hours, and are delivered within 7-10 days via: UPS (International orders may expierence slightly longer time)."

By 10/2/09, today, I had not received my order items. I had received no further communication from the store either. So, I called the store to see what was going on with my order.

I called their (866) number, and a man answered the phone.
Man: "Hi"
me: "Hello, is this Vitaglo?"
Man: "Hold on a moment."
me: "Ok, but is this Vitaglo?"
Man: "Uh, yes this is Vitaglo."
me: "Ok, thanks, I'm calling about an order I placed that never came."
Man: "Hold on"

Then, I was put on hold. I waited on hold for about one and a half minutes to complete silence. I hung up and called back. The same man answered.

Man: "Hello"
me: "Hi, I'm calling about an order I placed on 9/20/09 that never came in. I would like to know what is going on with the order."
Man: "Were you the one that just called?"
me: "Yes, and I was on hold for a minute without hearing anything."
Man: "Ok, what's the order number? Hold on just a minute."
me: "Ok"
Man: (10 seconds later) "What's the order number?"
me: "xxx-xxxx"
Man: "Ok...uh, yeah, we're out of one of the flavors that you ordered, so, we probably won't have it in for another week."

At this point I was shocked by how terrible their customer service was. The man, the owner it turns out, was running his store unprofessionalylear signs of how badly he ran his store:
1) The man was rude and had poor phone manners.
2) The store failed to keep a current record of their stock on their website.
3) Failing to notify me the item was out of stock when I ordered it.
4) I waited 12 days from the day I placed my order and heard nothing from them.
5) The items hadn't even shipped 12 days after my initial order. (even though they eventually had the items I wanted in the store , as I will describe below).

me: "Which flavor was it?"
Man: "Uh, let me see. Hold on."
me: "Ok."
Man: "Actually, it turns out we have them. I can ship them to you if you still want them, you should get them Monday"
me: "Ok, I have an issue however with-"
Man: "There is NO ISSUE here. You either want them or you don't."
me: "I don't. There is an issue, it is you-"
Man: "No there is not."
Me: "good bye."

There was no point in trying to speak reasonably with a man who would not even let you, as a customer who had a legitimate complaint, finish a sentence. I realized, however, that I could not take such a man at his word, given his poor business practices, so I called back to ask about getting confirmation of my order cancellation. The same man answered.

man: "Hello."
me: "I just called, and I want to get a confirmation of your cancellation of my order."
Man: "We don't do that, but you're good. I already cancelled the order."
me: "Ok, and you do have an issue, it is your poor customer service, and,"
Man:

So, dear fellow online shoppers. I hope this does not happen to anyone else. The owner of hte store, the man in the conversations above, does not care about his customers. He did not even have the common decency to acknowledge his mistakes, acknowledge his poor business practices, or even to listen to a polite customer bring these issues to his attention.

He would never accept someone taking a product from his store and paying him twelve days later. I wonder why he finds it acceptable to accept orders for items that are not in stock, never tell the customer who ordered them that his order will be delayed, not refund the customer going on 12 days, not have confirmation of order cancellations, and then hang up in the customer's face when all this malpractice is brought to his attention.

There are other options out there aside from Vitaglo. The owner is rude and may mishandle your order. He will not apolgoize if he does so, and you may not even know about it unless you take the initiative to find out why your oder has not arrived. Please don't expose yourself to the same risks that I did when I innocently decided to order from this store. They are rude and do not care for their customers.

I hope this review helps someone else out there somehow.

Please don't shopt at Vitaglo.

"They falsely advertised a product then sent the wrong one. I ended up paying for the shipping for the returned product. He refused to give me a refund for the shipping. Then hung up the phone on me several times when I asked.
The other reviewers here are 100% correct. The worst customer service I ever have experienced. I'll never deal with this shady company again. Stay far away!! The guy Mike is a complete Jerk! His business is doomed to fail. It's just a matter of time. What comes around goes around. I will make sure the word gets out on how bad these guys are!!!

"I want to say that this company has the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. They do have good prices (so to all of you who give a positive review, give them a call, just once to see what we're talking about), but good prices do not overshadow abusive and offensive behavior. I am actually in shock at how the man on the phone, identified as Mike, has been allowed to behave for as long as he has. I not only contacted the BBB, but I did a mass email to most of my contacts, and emailed the Mayor of Syracuse New York where the company resides. Please people listen: i so highly recommend NOT using this company that it's not even funny."

"I am VERY VERY DISSAPOINTED with the Vitaglo.com.
On April 1, 2009 I placed an order of USD 556 and today there is June 20, 2009 and I have neither money nor the ordered items.

I know, stupid me to believe them :(.

I live in the Czech Republic and I am used to order vitamins and such items from the USA because of very good prices compared to my country. I used to buy from www.swansonvitamins.com and have never had any problem with them. The order was sent immediately and delivered within 2 weeks.

But that day I found even better prices at Vitaglo and decided to place an order. What a fool I was :(.

Firstly nothing happen, I just received an automatic email confirming the placement of my order. After a month my credit card was charged, but the status of the order wasn´t. So I emailed to Vitaglo asking them to cancel the order, because I didn´t see any progress. Nobody answered. I emailed them again a week later. No answer again. I tried again two weeks later, asking them to communicate with me. Finally "Mike" replied: "its going out today". That was May 20, 2009.
But the order status hasn´t been changed again...But I hoped that it would be ok.
On May 31 I emailed to Vitaglo again and was asking them to return me either money, or finally send me those items or I would report them. "Mike" replied on June 3: "it was dent ill get you the tracking number".
But of course - he didn´t get my any tracking number. I reminded him again on June 7 about that tracking number - no answer. I tried again on June 12 - with no answer...

Please, could anyone help me or give me any advice what to do next?

I know at first place it was my mistake to place such a big order with no experience with this company, but somehow I even couldn´t think that there might be something like this possible in the USA :((((

"I have no complaints whatsoever with Mike @Vitaglo. This is my 2nd order in 7 mths for the same product and by far the best price. Each of 10 bottles was individually wrapped and very well protected and the best... ordered Saturday afternoon and got delivery the following wendsday!!
Now that is good service!.... 11/01/10 Just received another order with absolutely no problems. Fast delivery and super careful packaging!!! Six bottles individually bubble wrapped. You can't find a better price!!

"after reading a few reviews (should have done that BEFORE I ordered from this company) I must agree that although the product was fine (however there had been a substitution that I was not made aware of) and it arrived in a timely manner, dealing with Mike was the worst experience I have ever had as a customer. "I need not tell me whole story, as the previous negative reviews have done a more than adequate job. In short, I had the exact same experience as previous individuals who reviewed; the man on the phone was rude, inflexible, and out right a jerk. Im anxious to receive my order and be done with this company. Customer service is EVERYTHING. I would have paid a little more $$ to get proper service. So much for trying to cut corners with this company.

Bottom line, the guy on the phone has some serious issues, and I hope his business goes under soon. If you have not yet ordered from them, go ahead and try, youll see why my harsh words resinate.

"I ordered "Cytosport - Fast Twitch Explosive
Performance case 12/ 20 fl. oz." (http://www.vitaglo.com/cyto351.html) on April 24th, 2009. After not receiving any notification about shipping or order status, and seeing no updates to the order status on the website, I finally called the 800 number to check on the order.

The person who answered the phone was rude and put me on hold without any explanation. After 5 minutes of silence, I hung up and called back, at which point he got aggravated and loudly said "just give me your order number". When I said I thought he was being unnecessarily rude, he said "I'm being curt. Not rude." Nice distinction.

When he found my order, he informed me that they stopped carrying the product. I said it might've been nice to have been informed of that, or have them remove the product from their site, to which he said "Yep. Sorry. Goodbye." and hung up.

This is clearly an example of terrible customer service, and illustrates that this company doesn't update the products on their site, much less the status of paid orders. I recommend steering clear.

"RUN, DON'T WALK, AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY

First of all the owner Michael is a total psycho. You really don't want to have anything to do with him! I placed an order with them and didn't receive it in the amount of time they said I would. I called and got an EXTREMELY rude man who continually interupted me and told me they couldn't get this particular vitamin (that they had sent a confirmation email about AND charged my credit card). He told me he would check on the status and call me, which of course he never did. Then I call today and just like the other reviews I have read, he's tells me that I am yelling at him and he won't talk to me if I keep yelling (irratated with the lack of service and his rudeness, yes - yelling, no). So then this crazy man says he doesn't have to talk to me and hangs up on me. Of course at this point I don't it's just some mom and pop show that's run by lunatics. So I call back and ask to speak to the manager (same guy answers the phone) and he tells me he's the owner so I can't have him fired. Then he tells me if I talk to him REAL nice, he will try to help. Asks me for the order number and makes me repeat it three times until I say it with the tone of voice that he thinks is nice enough. The guy is a sicko. Stay clear!!!!! Thanks to the person who posted the information on where to go to report the company.

"Best price for clif bars on the internet ($1.04 per bar via free shipping of $50 or more however Publix sells them for a $1 each). Shipment arrived 6 business days from order date. Seals on cardboard boxs were broken but each box contained full number of bars. Expiration dates on bars varied between 4 to 8 months from date of purchase. I did not need to contact their customer service. I would consider ordering from them again."

"Although Vitaglo had the best prices on the 4 products I ordered, they arrived covered in dust! Also, some of the seals on the products were not in the best condition, In addition, the products seem rather aged, but I guess it depends on what you order. For example, the BSN Cell mass and ON Casein both expire at the end of 2010. But the ON Vanilla Ice Cream whey expires in May, and is the old packaging that ON no longer uses. Is this really a problem? That's up to you, but it definitely doesn't appear professional.

This was my first purchase from them at the suggestion of a friend, but it will also be my last. Order from DPSNutrition instead. They are a couple bucks more, but they have great service and give you the products from the newest batches.

"This place is interesting. You can find some great deals here on certain items. Their website sucks...very hard to navigate and search for an item. The 1 time I called I never got a response back. Sometimes my items will come dusty or with cardboard dust looking stuff. Not a big deal to me though because they offer what I want around 10 $ cheaper than any other place I've seen so far. So, if you're picky you may not like it. But if you're shopping around, give them a try even if you get a headache from the site. You might save yourself some $$. The shipping has always been free for me cause I always buy over the 50 $ limit, which is nice that they offer that. No packages have ever come late."
