"Pro: Ship to home make it easy to shop plus no hassle return to the local store was easy.
Cons: Half of the items were out of stock, and always out of stock. some were out of stocks for years and still being offer for purchase."
"I placed an order to be picked up the same day on Aug. 10, 2018. I received the email stating that the order was received and being prepared then nothing else. The money has been deducted from my account already. I called walmart.com customer service on Aug. 11, 2018 to find what was going because I had not received a pickup email for my purchase. I called twice with a 5 hour gap in between calls and I'm still in the same situation.
Now it is Aug. 12, 2018 and still I have no items, money withheld from account and no information about when my order will be ready. I am very displeased with this whole in store pickup process!
If I cancel the order and purchase the items in store, it will take 5 to 7 business days to get the money back to my account and would have paid twice for these items in the meantime!
I usually do store pickup or shipping so I am familiar with walmart.com's process but I must say this experience is ridiculous!"
"I recently ordered a top of the line Cuisinart food processor, which is sold and shipped by Walmart, not one of their third party sellers.
The price they were selling it for matched the lowest price anyone was selling it for on the web. On top of that, they offered a small discount (equal to about 2.5%) if I opted to have it shipped to my local Walmart store. (Delivery to home would have been free, delivery to store was free, with that additional small discount. )
Given all the bad reviews here, I was a bit skeptical, but I decided to give it a shot.
I ordered on a Tuesday night. They promised arrival in the store by 6pm on Friday, but in fact it arrived more than a day earlier. They notified me of its arrival at about 11am on Thursday.
That was 36 hours after placing my order, a few dollars cheaper than anywhere else on the web.
Pick up at the store was quick and convenient, the product was exactly as ordered, in perfect condition.
I'm generally not a big Walmart fan, and would balk at buying from one of their third party sellers.
But I'm forced to admit that this particular buying experience was great. "
"i had a terrible experience at Walmart…
i had a terrible experience at Walmart today , yesterday night I bought a sewing machine " brother " when I came home I realized that half of what was suppose to be in the boxe was missing and the product seemed to be used. so I went back to return the product , and they told me that the product was not matching with the number in the boxe .. the manager made a comment as if I was a liar and refused to give me back my money or the machine , it returned it in less Than 24 hours .. I m so angry right now , I have an uncomplete product that I can't even use , I lost my money .., and I was treated in the worst manner ... dont trust this company at all ... they are simply horrible ... shame on Walmart ! BOYCOTT !!!"
"While Walmart has a great selection of merchandise, finding a salesperson for assistance is, in my experience, difficult, if not impossible. "
"ordered a drone from walmart.ca marketplace but it came with missing parts. tried to contact 3rd party seller many times through walmart site but never got a reply. contacted with walmart customer service many times but they wont let me me return the product or refund my money. i felt like i got ripped. wont recommend walmart marketplace. even aliexpress, ebay, wish provides better customer service."
"I ordered a JBL speaker that didn't show up. So I asked them about it, through live chat, and they said they never received it from the other company. I was about to get a reference number when the online chat lost connection. That happened three times in a row which lead me to believe it might have been deliberate.
Instead I tried to call them the next day. First time they hung up on me. Second time they told me to contact the other company again (even though they'd already done that) and this time give me a reference number. Happily I got one, but they also said I couldn't get a refund if they (the other company) were to respond within 24 hours.
This morning they did. I got a short email saying:
1. There was a "problem
2. They're sorry
3. It should be with me in 5 days
This meant I can't have my refund. I really hope I will finally get my speaker but I believe they're just trying to find more ways to keep my money and not give me the speaker.
To anyone who reads this, don't order from Walmart online. "
"I ordered a portable air conditioning unit for a good price . Site indicated free 2-day shipping, I thought great! My family was spending weekend with me, so I figured perfect timing. It was supposed to arrive on Thursday, the day came and went. Friday comes along, nothing. I checked the tracking, it was somewhere in Illinois, I live in San Diego. We've been having hot weather and I needed this ASAP. Weekend is here and I'm hoping for a miracle. Nope! My place was (and still is) so hot, was awful! It's Monday now and it just got to California. It stated delivery date by tomorrow, Tuesday, Aug. 7, I not keeping my hopes up. I wanted to give Walmart a chance to make on their promise. NOPE! Never again. I should have stayed with Amazon!"
"I am a regular customers and I just move to Texas. I always shop and spend thousands of dollars at Walmart’s and because of my move I had to start over and purchase everything I needed. Anyways every time I purchase a electronic item , small appliances anything that has a service plan I purchase as well. Now you have change your policy of a 30 day return. I loose my money for the product care plan I purchase. Now I have to write a letter to cancel my product care plan and see if they can return my money. The time and another expense to send out a letter of cancellation. Another you have change another policy concerning returning my money back when I return item and was paid with a Debit card not a credit card using a debit card is just like cash why do I have to wait three to five days for it to return to my debit card and than it’s not guaranteed it would be put back in my debit card ASAP usually you would give cash back if it’s a debit and credit card it would go back to the credit card. Now I have to wait for the money to come in for me to purchase another item that I returned. I feel you need to explained to you customers that Your product care plan is good only for 30 days and if you use a debit card which is considered CASH will not be put back into your card not guaranteed 3 to 5 days . Now I would not ever purchase your product care plan ever and I would not use a Debit card ever either. Customers awareness is appreciated. Worse experience I ever had in all the times especially I’m a regular high volume of purchaser. "
"Item was never received and when trying to find out the carrier and specifics, Walmart basically said that I need to work with UPS and my financial institution as they would not do anything for me. AMAZON IS KING! Don't ever bother with these idiots. Amazon Prime is the only way to go."
"Not much to tell. Same as every single other review on here. Delayed, Out for delivery and never showed up, etc... I did a ship to store. The email indicates that at 11:30 AM on a business day "couldn't deliver, business closed" Umm, they weren't closed. This was the 3rd time I was sent this "excuse" So now delayed another 3 days. I have messaged a prominent class action attorney and am waiting for a response in hopes of filing a class action lawsuit. Over 1200 reviews and almost everyone has had the same problem?? This is NOT acceptable! I will keep people on here posted. In the meantime, feel free to email ****@**** with your Walmart delivery problem stories (I don't want personal info, order numbers, etc.. Just your experience) I hope I can move this forward. Please continue though, to post your reviews on this site since I'm not sure this will even go anywhere. "
"the "new" website does not work at all. When I went there to see about placing an order to pick up locally, it no longer allows me to order as a guest, wont let me set up a new account, and wont allow me to reset the password for my existing account. So can't even use it to order. What's more, while I live in Maine, the website automatically set me to pickup from a store located in Ithica, NY. Also won't allow me to change that unless I log in to my account, which it wont allow me to do. When I reached out to the supposed customer support, the person on the other end chose to not pay any attention to what I was saying, instead trying to "fix" an issue with my browser that did not exist. Totally worthless and useless system now. Good going Walmart, you have ruined yet another shopping system for the public."
"It's really our own fault that Walmart and Walmart.com have grown so big so fast yet offer unacceptable service. Once again we have fallen for the "all American" advertising brainwash. It's genius, it works every time when delivered with a powerful marketing punch. Ray Crok's Mcdonalds Corporation is a perfect example. It is truly amazing that these corporations (people) are allowed to continue to steal mom and pop's American dream even after being exposed as the ruthless vultures they really are. The corporate strategy is to make you believe you are getting more for less, in reality it is the opposite. We buy into the advertising that Walmart's products are better even when we are looking directly at the low quality merchandise, which in reality is overpriced for what it is, especially given Walmart's huge buying power. We don't care that the stores are dirty, unorganized, and improperly stocked. We don't mind that we are treated like suspected shoplifters on the way in and out. We don't care about a minimum amount of cahiers, lack of qualified floor assistance, and a terrible return experience. Walmart.com is a completely separate corporation specializing in online commerce that has a handshake with Walmart based on sharing it's Brand and advertising. Walmart.com cares even less about it's faceless customers, all we are is bankcard numbers to be processed, once that happens the rest is up to chance. We are fooled by the notion that Walmart is "passing along savings" to it's customers. Corporations do not pass along their precious profit to anyone, ever! Especially to the consumers from which they made it. Even though Walmart and Walmart.com are outnumbered by competitor quality, price and consistency, the average consumer stays committed because the advertising boasts that all other Americans are, and so it goes. "
"wife had ordered a kayak on 12 th of july. at this time she was given a receiving date on the 27th along time but acceptable. evening of the 27th NO phone call BUT an email saying delayed were sorry and NO time of delivery given. hope there is;nt ice on the lake by the time we get it. OH by the way i am considering canceling if OR when we receive it. thx for the lousey birthday present walmart. "
"Lied to me about why they cancelled my order (said they were out of stock) and would not refund my "bonus" gift cards to that they charged me for. Item came back I'm stock less than a week later and they refused to let my reorder for the same price I paid. Still waiting for my refund. Worst experience I've had shopping anywhere."
