"My 81 year old mother always wanted an industrial sewing machine. When she saw Gold Star Tools was having a Mother’s Day Sale, she purchased one. First thing after her purchase, her account was removed or loss so that we could not see the details of her order, such as shipping times etc or her order number, We emailed and called and finally received word from David the owner that he was shipping the machine. The table arrived first. It was packed very well and had no signs of abuse from shipping. When I removed all of the bubble wrap I saw the plywood top was completely broken across the width. The only thing holding it together was the laminate on the top face. I called and spoke with David again. He said he would take care of it. On Tuesday I received an email asking for pictures of the break. I sent the pictures. They replied that this was normal and all of their tables were cracked like this. They said they could send me pictures of ten tables all cracked or broken like this, like this was normal, I again called David, and he said give him until the end of the day and he would take care of it. He did not. The second box, containing the sewing machine arrived on Tuesday as well. When I opened this box ( also packaged well ) the oil had spilled out all over everything. One of the tensioning knobs, disc and springs was gone. The reverse button was not even attached to the machine. Numerous other parts were missing, or had fallen off in the box. All of the parts that were supposed to be bagged, were open and dumped in the box. Also, this machine was not like the one on the videos on their website. It had no slow motion forward stitching button. The reverse arm was much shorter. The balance wheel was so close to the machine you can not turn it by hand and there is no room on the shaft to move it out. This might be an older floor model or has been used before. Now I see that this model is out of stock on their website, so how will they replace it? David seems to be a very nice person, but this experience has been terrible, and he has made promises that he has not kept. We still have not heard from the Company and now I think I understand why I can’t find reviews or anything on these machines or this Company. My mother is so disappointed and would just like her money back. "
"I was visiting LA and dropped by Gold Star Tools to look at a few Juki industrial machines. I met with David and he showed me a few machines, let me test one, and answered all my questions. I ended up buying one, and he and his staff packed it up for me in my car, threw in some extra goodies, and I was on my way. I was very happy with the experience. I had no problems with setting up the machine thanks to all the helpful videos they have created. Thanks!"

"I have had the worst experience with this company. Communication has been extremely poor and after 9 months, I have yet to receive my full order.
I ordered 2 seeing machines in October 2022. 1 machine was delivered in March 2023 and to this date, I haven't received the other. I have made several calls to the owner who has repeatedly told me that the machine has arrived at the warehouse, that it has been shipped, that he will share the shipping information, that I should be understanding because of long shipping times, etc. He has even shown me the machine via video call.
I think I have been patient enough for 9 months. If I do not call to receive an update on my order, no one reaches out. I haven't made contact with the company in a month, and no one reached out to advise on the status of my order.
This machine costs in excess $2000 and it is just off putting that a company would take this money and not produce the product or even be considerate enough to communicate effectively and efficiently with customers.
I would not recommend this company to anyone.
The only good that I can say however is the first machine that I received is in excellent working conditions and so, I had high hopes for the second one.
I'm not sure what else can be done at this point, because I've exhausted my options.
