"Very happy with this Aura Pro X2 PCIe 4.0 NVM SSD for my 25" Retina mid-2015 macbook pro. I got the full kit with the extra installation accessories, which was very helpful. OWC's upgrade products have always worked well for me, and this one was no exception.
But removing one star, because:
I found it bit hard to navigate to the correct video for installation on this. Make sure you are looking at the PCI (not SATA) video. To make sure, I called support, and was assured there would be a PCI slot in the empty SATA bay. NOT. Installation involves removing just about everything, including the motherboard, and installing the PCI Drive on the back of the motherboard. And of course in the OWC videos, disconnecting and reconnecting all the little cables work very easy, but for me they were all kind of stuck in place, and very, very small! I was assisted by some other YouTube videos.
I'm a novice when it comes to taking these things apart (not at all advanced), but I did make it all the way through without any extra parts, and the computer fired up beautifully when started. I signed my name in blood on the motherboard, as a historical marker.
All in all a great project with a great result. Just to allow plenty of time and several breaks"
